It’s fine. Best for kids age 6-9. They have a small area for ages 0-5. Many of the exhibits didn’t work and wasn’t very clean. Could have used more staff. Your money is better spent at the Naperville Children’s Museum.

We just had our daughter’s birthday party at SciTech today. It was such a fun day! The staff are so sweet helpful, and scheduled the whole party so that the kids had fun activities to do. They accommodated our large party and we’re so quick to assist us in whatever we needed. The exhibits and activities at the museum are so cool and informative. We will definitely be back to visit and highly recommend having kids birthday parties here! It was honestly a blast!

Scitech is a great trip for kids, but it isnt very big. It fills up fast when schools have field trips, and when we visited some exhibits werent working. Overall the kids had a great time and well be back. Parking is best suited for the garage down the road, but prepare for a short walk if you have special needs or older folks with you.

Hidden Gem!Was surprised at not only the number of exhibits, but the way each explained what it did and why! There are lots of things for kids to touch, so bring some hand sanitizer. We spent an hour there and that was not nearly enough!

My granddaughter had a blast! We were surprised how fast three hours passed! I took my two sons when they were kids, too. They loved it then. Staff was friendly. If an exhibit is not working tell them. More than likely exploring little fingers have explored too far and turned it off! If you see something is unplugged, plug it in! Scitech is not a glossy, pristine, untouchable museum; its a nice, comfortable and very touchable, fun place. If your child isnt interested in the explanation for each exhibit, then just let them play and learn. Of course, you cannot bring your coffee in with you! We parked right in front on the street and there is parking on the east side of the building. Have fun! And well be back!

Has a lot of great educational exhibits and a decent gift shop. 3 floors of science, how can you go wrong? At at 10 bucks per person its a pretty good deal. Onsite parking makes the trip hasstle free. However, parts are definitely in disrepair. Many of the exhibits are non funtional, really dirty or otherwise non-functional. It looks like they are in the process of adding some new exhibits which is nice, but many are in need of retirement. All things considered though, its a great way to burn a couple hours with the fam. Worth checking out

This place is a hidden gem. It is not over the top and cannot be compared to the large Chicago museums. It does have a lot of hands on science activities. The staff are engaging and also very knowledgeable. There are three floors worth of science to explore and during the summer an outside area too. They do a fantastic job setting up special events such as Non Years Eve and the Easter Egg Drop. This is a great days out if your looking for something educational and different for kids!

I had such high expectations for the museum based on the majority of the reviews and the description online. I was so excited about a STEAM related experience for my nieces and nephews (ages 8-4). The experiments were a lot of reading about instead of doing to learn. There were several exhibits closed off, under construction, missing pieces and not operational. Cords and plugs are too accessible for the kids. Temporary walls moved when leaned on by 4 year olds. The nieces, who are excited about science, were fairly bored within an hour. I hope the museum can realize its potential and make something stellar in the near future. Until then, I will not be back.

Went here with my son for a school field trip. They have some very interesting items to play with and learn. However, not all the exhibits worked. Perhaps we didnt follow the instructions clearly. Either way the experience is phenomenal. They have this Tornado simulator thats pretty cool.

The museum itself is decent. The exhibits were pretty cool and hands on which is why I gave this place 2 stars. Thats generous! The museum staff was terribly rude. I was there chaperoning my children with their summer camp and was totally disgusted at the way the museum staff behaved. They snapped at, yelled at, and were sarcastic to the small group of 5 year olds I was chaperoning for not knowing answers or not reading the exhibits. THEY ARE 5! Theyre at the age where science is a fun learning experience and are curious and eager to learn more. The staff pretty much shut that down for a few of them. The lunchroom wasnt maintained well and bathrooms were dirty also. As an intermediate level teacher, I am always looking for local venues to take my students to. I often bring my children to scope a place out before deciding to bring my class there on a field trip. I would definitely skip this place. I can tell staff is not really used to dealing with kids.

Dont bother- go to DuPage Childrens Museum instead!! Exhibits were dirty, poorly maintained, and half werent even working or had missing parts. Outside of a small area, they had nothing appropriate for younger children, despite the fact that their website advertises being fun for infants on up. Scientific concepts were not presented in a fun, accessible way- mostly just push this button- and virtually no open-ended exploration was available for younger kids. The place is old and outdated, and definitely NOT babyproofed- cords for major exhibits hanging freely, plugs uncovered and out in the open where small kids could grab them. Terrible disappointment and waste of money. Go to DuPage Childrens Museum instead.
