Great foothill wine tasting in a comfortable family space around a nice pond. Large trees to provide shade and large grassy areas with tables to enjoy a glass or two of wine or a picnic with your family- or both. Join the wine club for great discounts and access to great wine and events. I hope to see you out there.

I absolutely adore this place. Cave setting, seriously! Low light for ambiance. Must try their warm sangria!! Great on a cool night in front of the fire (or TV in my case! hehe).

It is a remarkable cave venue! Love the feeling there. Been there twice, both a Place Wine Trail event. And both times, 3 years apart we felt like we were just put up with bring a part of the event. Well give them another try but not at an event. I know they must have better wines to offer.

Alan was an amazing host for the wine tasting. Very friendly and it had an awesome story behind the Vineyard. The cave that you taste the wines in was very homey and spacious. We loved our experience here.

Met friends there about a month ago and was really impressed with their wine and ambiance. Loved their signature Sangria. Had a great time and will definitely return!

It was busy when we came. The rain brought lots of people inside. The seating was limited and with the event going during our visit it was even more limited. It was a great blend of tasting and this included sangria...parking is limited...the restroom is outside of the actual tasting room. They have about four tables and four stations of seating with furniture. The tasting is 7 p.o. with five wines and four sangria choices.

Saw the Ghost Quartet. It was an intimate arena for such a play. We shared a bottle of wine before the play and it was superb...Im not a big red wine drinker, but the red wine we had was one of the best Id ever had...not smokey or oakey... very smooth on the palate with a touch of fruity plum. The facility is handicap accessible, very clean and cozy, with the wine tasting being in a cave. Delightful experience and will return....suggest others do, too!

Fantastic winery! It wins on ambiance too. Man-made cave with beautiful giant wood doors. Very impressive winery, staff and wine. They even serve apple soda to kids in little wine glasses so they don’t feel left out. :-)

There is no other winery that I would go to besides Vina. It is a household name with my family because the wine holds such meaning for us. Not only is it the best tasting wine in all of Auburn and surrounding areas, the owner is a TOP NOTCH woman. There are not enough great words I can use to describe this fantastic place. Go check them out.

Lovely local winery specalizing in Spanish style wine. Absolutely lovely grounds. Gazebo by pond for tasting in fine weather. Otherwise tasting is in wine cave. Selection of tasty snacks. Tapas at times!! Did I mention great wine!!?? If you dont have time for a trip to Spain, here is your best shot.Note: they often exhibit art work by local artists. Some of it for sale on site.

Came here based on the reviews. Many of the reviews speak very little of the wine quality, they place an emphasis on the makeshift cave. Having traveled the world and having sampled wines throughout varying regions. The Wines we sampled at Vina Castellano were mediocre-at-best and definitely a major disappointment..... This could have explained why there were so few recent reviews. Never mentioned the $7 wine testing fee for such mediocre wine. Normally when a winery has blends, its to compensate for their inability to attract the purest. Blends provide for much more profit. I would never recommend this place to my wine connoisseur friends.

They have a wine cave and the grounds are beautiful to visit in summer. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. The wine is expertly made in the Spanish tradition. It is a family owned and run operation with a legacy in Spanish wine making. Wine club members get the added benefit of private events including; outdoor movies and tapas tasting parties!
