Lovely park. Nice trails. Trails range from 2.5 miles to 9 miles round trip. You can walk them, mountain bike them, or trailer your horse to the parking lot and ride.Beautiful views of canyons and falls from a couple of solidly built viewing platforms. Trails are well marked and they have maps posted at intervals to mKe it easy to get around.Unfortunately it isnt very covid safe. Lots of narrow trails and lots of people, often shoulder to shoulder, passing without masks. Hard to get away from the mask less once you are on narrow trails. Viewing platforms were also full of mask less folks waiting snacks or just being maskless.

Love this place! Awesome hike. Remember on the weekends you have to go online and reserve a parking spot. $4 for half day or $8 for all day. To get to hidden falls you travel all the way down the hill, cross the bridge and make a left. Follow the trail all the way down until you see some steps to the left. Follow those down and you will see the water. Once you do continue left onto then you will see the overlook deck. I have gone twice and can’t wait to go again. They allow horses on the trails too. Don’t forget water, the trail can get super hot!

This is a beautiful place for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. The waterfalls are very beautiful. I hiked the full outer loop of the park about 15 miles total! But there are plenty of different trails for all ages and skill sets definitely a must visit if you love the outdoors

Overall nice views and hike. In comparison to other waterfalls I have seen, this one is not at the top of my favorites list but it was still amazing. The main waterfall was not as big as I expected to be and I wish the area was a bit larger to view the waterfall because it felt crowded. When you reach the long bridge it is a great view of the water. There is a good amount of trails you can choose from which I would love to go back and hike on the rest. When you start the trail there is a sign you can take a picture of which shows all the trails and how long each of them are.

Great trail with breathtaking views. Only downside is that the phone connection is poor (depends on your carrier and service) and the first portion of the trail has rocky gravel which can make it difficult to walk on if you arent wearing the appropriate shoes. Theres also a waterfall and river you can walk towards and enjoy as well.

It was really amazing area, we did the hidden falls trail with our almost 2yr old and she did great! The trail is NOT stroller friendly for any parents that want to try to bring them on this trail, DONT. There is an area you could climb down to before reaching the waterfall and you can enjoy the water. Will definitely go again!

This is a great regional park to visit. I am in Auburn for training for work and was looking for a great place to get away from the freeway noise and get some exercise. There is a vast network of hiking trails. So many you could visit several times and not do the same hike. You can hike in, swim in some pools, then hike back out. Fantastic little getaway in the Auburn area. Thanks Placer County for this area. Keep it open.

Had a great time, there are plenty of trails depending on how long you feel like hiking and most of them all loop back to each other. The ranger warned us that poison oak is high right now so watch out. Also there are no working water fountains so come prepared! Reservations for parking have to be made on the weekend so book ahead! It was a beautiful hike, would recommend.

Nice 3mile loop hike. Easy path and the slopes were not difficult for the kids. Ours (age 5 & 7) got a little tired because of too much climbing and jumping around the water and rocks..but made it with only a little complaining. Mountain lions and snakes in the area, but we didnt encounter any Wildlife, just a handful of other hikers, families, and dogs.

Great day of hiking with family. Easy trails not too steep. Hike to the falls was ok for an 8 year old to handle just fine. Beautiful views. Crowds controlled by the cost to enter and make reservations on line during weekends and holidays. 8 bucks for the day and 4 dollars for a first or second part of the day. There are cyclists and horse back riders on trails so stay alert. A great day trip for the family or the trail hungry enthusiasts.

We had an amazing visit to the Hidden Falls Regional Park. Make sure to place a parking reservation prior to making the trip. Its very easy and can be done online. Great valley views and the hike is fairly easy with lots of customization by taking different loops to increase distance and difficulty. This is a dog friendly hiking area, we look forward to returning in the summer.

There was dirt everywhere, and rocks yes lots of rocks and trees, cant forget about all the trees. My kids laughed, grumbled, and laughed some more, we escaped with only a slip or two but we did have to carry them the last mile uphill. There was poop everywhere, horse poop, dog poop, and deer poop, even ran into one of those pesky deer on a side trail. I guess when you come to hidden falls you are expected to share the trails with nature. /s5/5 would recommend!Bring water, comfortable shoes, a PBJ is always nice too, oh and bananas dont forget the bananas. We enjoy hiking to the falls and then walking a little further to the lone park bench for lunch and a pit stop for the kids.Remember to pack out what you pack in.

Great place for a nice hike. The many trail loops make it easy to take almost any length and difficulty of hike youre in the mood for. Bring your water and sunscreen, as some trails are sunnier than others. The observation decks are currently closed for social distancing, but there are still awesome views to be had.

Went there for the first time with the wife. She said its only a 3 mile hike, I said okay sounds great. Turns out the North side hike is 3 miles one way, almost 7 miles if you do the complete loop. Needless to say we did not do the complete loop. There are areas where you can gain access to a few swimming holes in the creek. Good uphills and downhills, bring plenty of water and some good hiking shoes.

Definitely not appropriate for children! As soon as I can will post video.

This was a really fun park to hike through. It had a variety of trails that ranged from fairly easy to moderate. Most of the trails were relatively well shaded so it wasnt too hot, even on a hot day. The most direct path from the parking lot to the main trailheads is completely uncovered and in the sun the whole way though, so bring plenty of water.

This park was great! The trails to get to the falls were clearly marked and there were also maps posted just so people didnt get lost. There are a variety of trails that can be taken and the difficulties are clearly shown. The hidden falls access trail is the best trail as it leads you down to observation points that are closest to the water, however, it can get a little crowded and difficult to navigate with such marrow paths and so many people. This park is super dog and family friendly, and the elevation change is small enough that people of all ages and abilities were able to complete the hike. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5?Parking and trash! When you arrive at the park, a ranger is standing at the top of the hill directing cars if the lot is full. If the lot is full, he will direct drivers to ither hikes in the area. Parking is free, which is a bonus, and we didnt have any trouble finding parking at 10 am on a Sunday, but the lot was filling up fast! There are many signs posted that ask visitors to pick up their trash and leave no trace, etc. But it seemed like there was a lot of trash near all of the falls just out of reach (otherwise I would have picked some up myself). Im not sure if it is possible, but trash cans would be nice, or a little better maintenance to make sure that visitors to the area can enjoy the views without being exposed to litter.Otherwise, this is a great little hike that starts out about 3 miles and is shared with mountain bikers and horse riders. With the additional trails, hikers can make it as long or short as they like!
