I was never a dancer growing up but this studio has made it so easy for it to become an adult hobby! Ive been coming on and off for the last 3 years with classpass and now Im exclusively here because of their AMAZING covid response.I feel comfortable and safe taking an in-person class or and their online experience was great too. Their owner apparently has a degree in public health - AND IT SHOWS! This pandemic has made me cherish the businesses that care enough about their clientele to limit capacity to keep everyone safe. HUUUGE props in my book. I appreciate them making a safe space for me to get back to dancing.Class passes will be on my Christmas wishlist!!!

Our 4.5 year old attends ballet here and we LOVE it! The staff and teachers are all great and our kiddo loves it, too. I feel like shes getting solid training based in good technique while also having fun. The teachers are wonderful with all of the kids. Parking is easy, the facility is nice and clean, and the other parents there are also friendly. We plan to stick around for years to come!

I cannot say enough good things about this dance school! I used to dance when I was younger and was really intimidated to getting back in after a 10 year hiatus. I ended up emailing the school to see if I could come and visit and Kara (the director) responded and welcomed me to sit in before I decided. I signed up for classes the following week doing tap! Its such a warm and welcoming environment for newcomers and people getting back into it. I been here a year now. I am currently doing ballet and I love it! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, not to mention affordable classes. You can do drop-in classes if you have a busy schedule which is great. If youre an adult who wants to try dance or come back, do yourself a favor and come to TADA :-)

Beautiful studio and great choreographers! After a 6 year break, I wanted to get back into dancing. Today, I took intermediate jazz with Tim and intermediate hip-hop with Khalil; they were very understanding, encouraging, and supportive! Will definitely be back.

So I went to an intro to ballet for adults class, first ballet class ever. Hardly and intro, as it seemed a lot of dancers took the class as a warm up, The teacher (older man, can’t remember his name?) was not very welcoming. He yelled at me the first ten mins in, like stood over me while doing leg work on the floor and yelled loudly at me, to stay on tempo and was talking down to me even tho I was clearly new to ballet, obviously why I was in an intro class.....Towards the end he was having us all cross the room in a prance fashion, back and forth. Didn’t really break down the foot work bc the class had a lot of dancers in it who already knew the foot work. So he didn’t teach it to the actual beginners in the class either, I just tried to copy what I saw but it really wasnt helpful with out it being broken down. Seemed like he was catering to the seasoned ballet dancers and getting annoyed of beginners being there even tho is was an intro class (??) anyway as I was attempting to learn the steps, I guess I looked unsure and he just yells at me “you have no idea what you’re doing, I know that! Just cross the room!” At that point I just gave up trying to do it right and ran across the room as he clearly just wanted me to get it done and move on without really learning it. He ended the class yelling about how he needed a stiff drink after this. Very rude and not a good teacher for beginners. Also not good to mix the class with trained ballet dancers and then neglect teaching the beginners bc of that. It was my first ballet class and first time at this studio and honestly it was such a bad experience with that teacher that I haven’t been back since and dont see myself returning to take ballet with him again. This was months ago but the experience has stayed with me And so I finally decided to share my experience.

I went back to ballet after more than 37 years with Mr. C at TADA, it was like starting from scratch. I have come a long way since then. The floor barre class led by Mr Campbell( Mr. C) on Sunday is the best in Atlanta and the ballet classes for adults ( also with Mr. C or Ms Ashley) are excellent. A class with Mr. C is a life changing experience. Ms. Ashley is great as well. I highly recommend this studio and their instructors and classes. Come prepared with an open mind to work hard, see results and maybe get back on that stage again. Everyone is really friendly and the studio rooms are excellent, clean and really nice.

My 2 and 6 year old daughters have been taking ballet classes at TADA since August this year and both love it. The teachers are warm and enthusiastic, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the owner, Kara, is attentive and accommodating. My younger daughter is probably the youngest in the class and was very reluctant at first. The teachers and Kara were amazing, discussing with me things they could try to help her acclimate and Kara personally took her in and stayed with her for most of the second class. By the third week she was marching in by herself willingly. Ever since I get asked constantly if it’s ballet day.

My 3-year-old joined TADA in January and weve had the most wonderful experience! Shes 4 now and has had nothing but fun. Kara, who runs TADA, really cares and goes out of her way to make sure that each student and family at TADA has nothing but fun, good learning experiences. The studio is clean and welcoming, the atmosphere is friendly, the changing rooms are impeccable, and each class is televised on a screen for parents to watch while they are waiting (there are big windows to watch through too, but occasionally they have to close the curtains if the little children get too distracted by the sight of their parents peering in at them). The Spring recital a few weeks ago was AMAZING! The children performed according to their class abilities, without pressure, and in between younger classes, adults performed for the audience, amazing us and also giving us a chance to see what our children can learn if they stay involved. One of the dancers was in a wheelchair and he danced so smoothly my 8-year-old leaned over to me and whispered, I dont think he really needs that chair. All in all, I would heartily recommend TADA to anyone who wants to dance!

I have been wanting to take an adult ballet class for a long time, and last night I made the leap and went to the Adult Ballet - Beginner class at TADA ATL, taught by Mark Burns. It was a wonderful experience! Mark made the class challenging but also encouraged us so much. I will definitely be going back, and I cant wait to keep growing in my ballet skills while also having a fun time and making new dance friends. I recommend TADA to anyone who has ever wanted to express what they feel inside through dance. Its a very professional dance academy, the studios are beautiful, and the people are super friendly.

I am so appreciative of this studio for the wealth of classes they offer and for the instruction I have received from wonderful instructors. Mr. C is a treasure: I am challenged, inspired and given great knowledge of the body and movement. He is able to hold a class together while giving specific, personal critiques. Kahlil is also great: clear, knowledgeable, supportive and creative. Im sure there are more .. . looking forward to further exploration!!

TADA is a warm, postive, great energy, beautiful instruction and an excellent place to study dance for children, teens, adults and seniors. So many studios only cater to children and teens, but TADA values its seniors. It is a beautiful facility, great parking, fine restaurants and easy to find. Feel free to come by and visit. You wont be disappointed.

Ta Da is is one of those small urban miracles you hope for and rarely see. The miracle maker is owner Kara Jacobson, the wonder is a dance studio of beauty and superb technical construction tucked neatly and conveniently in Cheshire Square. For anyone whose interest is jazz, hip-hop, tap, ballet or contemporary, beginner to advanced, the Atlanta Dance Academy has no equal. On top of that, the teaching staff has great breadth and experience.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter participated in TADAs first summer camp! What a great experience. The staff was very warm and patient with the toddler class ... At the end of the week-long camp, Ms Kara and her assistant Liz led these first-timers through a phenomenal showcase of what theyd learned. We also found Ms Laura extremely kind and resourceful! We look forward to fall classes. We also love the well-appointed and beautifully designed studio; the location couldnt be better or more convenient!
