I was going to book my party here but after reading the reviews I think I’ll go else where. I had a previous problem when the club says it’s open but they have everyone standing in inline for hours trying to wait until after the free period is over. I have also witness folks in rage about there section and still it’s so pretty in the and the DJ is great but I can’t take those kinda risk on my birthday

This place sucks, the server whos in charge of our table was like didnt care. been sitting for almost half an hour to get our drinks. Opera is way much better.2019/06/02:Im sure safety is the last thing to worry about in here, enjoy!

Waist of money and time bought tickets to see 2 chains and end up not seeing no chains it was 3am n he still wasn’t there

Shame on this place for staying open when the mayor ordered gatherings of 50 or more restricted and the president recommends less than 10.

First we reserved a table for 15 and got one that only fit 8 comfortably and when we asked for a larger table they said it would be an additional $300. Grated some of us was plus size but we only had 10 people and most had to stand. When leaving an employee, Tony, threatened me while we were waiting for our uber. We are from out of town and didn’t know the area and wanted to wait in a safe place but was rudely approached by Tony and threatened. The vibe was great however a couple things I would love to change about my first experience there

Got 2 hour line just to get scam

Great nightclub! We went on a Saturday and it was lit. Great crowd and the music was awesome! The cover charge is a little steep but we had a great time inside :) We ended up skipping the line and paying $40 to get in but it was worth it.

When i in the ATL this one of the places i like to go to. It is loud and crowds can be a bit large how ever it a lot fun good music service is good .

It’s a decent spot for a Monday. Just don’t come any earlier than 12:30 or it’ll be dead but if you do come earlier, it’s good b/c you’ll be able to pick where you wanna sit & no cover before 12.

Probably the worst club experience I’ve ever had in my life. Staff and security were incredibly rude. I paid to get in and showed my ID at the bar and was very rudely and humiliatingly picked up and carried out of the club without ANY explanation whatsoever. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.

Paid $2000 for 6 bottles for NYE & we only got 3. Complained and no one cared to help or get us the rest of the bottles. Do not I repeat do not waste your money in this club!

Had the time of my life. I heard the best day to go was on a Thursday and they weren’t lying. It was packed but fun. Drinks affordable, hookah is great. Can’t wait to come back

It was my birthday on 09/29 so I decided to rent a section. The cost was $900.00 for 10 wrist bands and 3 bottles. I made a deposit about a week prior for $150.00 and then I called the day of to pay the remaining balance so we wouldn’t have to worry about anything once we got there. I had to send over a signed credit card authorization form with my electronic signature. I get there, they tell me they have no record of me paying and I would have to pay. Irritated and reluctantly I gave them my card which was declined due to fraud protection for the dollar amount. Needless to say I had to wait 30 minutes outside before it was resolved. The whole purpose of me paying prior was to not run into issues like this. Finally we get in the club and they place us on a raggedy couch that can only sit 4-5 people. Mind you, I received 10 wrist bands! Plus, the couch was off in the cut. Pissed i went BACK outside to see if there was some type of mistake because I paid for 10 bands. The lady tell me, “when we book sections we don’t expect everyone to sit.” For $900.00 my 10 people should have the option to sit if they want to! If I wanted them or myself to stand the entire night, I wouldn’t have booked a section! After complaining for another 20-30 minutes they finally put us at a table at the club next door (same owner I guess) that could fit 10 people. I made the best of the night because it was my birthday but I definitely did not get what i paid for which was opium. This club is a complete rip off!!!! FYI, I should’ve known something was up because when I arrived, the people in front of me were going off about their section. Smh

I am so unpleased with this place whoever was promoting that night event was very unprofessional and had lines going crazy and only excepted and no atm on site they told everyone in line if they need cash they would have to go to the atm across the street at publix and get back in line with the people in the back after we were already to the front of the line. So the general admission was $30 and skip the line was $40....the general line was getting long wrapping around the corner they would tell everyone again about the lines and prices and i guess the promoter seen that no one was interested in the skip line price so guess what he does JUMP THE PRICE TO $40 like that not fair you get mad cause no one was that interested in skipping the line. And the venue is really small to many vip sections with not enought room for anyone the move around or dance.

Too crowded and too much going on. Kinda felt not so safe at times. Servers were good. VIP was not managed anyone could enter.

Worst lounge ever. Waited 1 hour in the line, got in at 12 am and the place is pretty much empty.

They charge TOO much for the air to not work!!! Its ALWAYS super hot and humid in there. Also, the front door staff is RUDE!!

Their patrons are always rude as hell. They park in the middle of the road, are loud and obnoxious outside the club, and in general are a nuisance to the residents in the area. I hope this building and the sketch gas station next door are the next to be bought and replaced/redeveloped.

1st there were roaches in the bathroom, the same night there was shooting in the club and everyone had to evacuate! Will never return. Club Suite has better music and safe environment.

I attended Opium to celebrate my birthday 10-31-17 I had the best time. The crowd and vibe was very nice, which made my celebration all the more fun. Im not normally a clubber, however when I get in the mood to want to dance and have a good time. Opium will be my go to club.

Club started out great ...me and friends came during happy hour and we were seated on a sofa near the band and stage. Had been there in at seat since 730 and the time is now 1100pm . an employee of the club came and moved the sofa and table we were using...basically evicted us from the area with no warning. Told the sofa was not suppose to be there..we only sat where we were asked to. The manager did not offer anything to help ease the move. It was handled professionally or with care to us as paying customers..we have been buying food and drink since we got here.

As a local resident I dont appreciate the early am shooting. Do better.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place makes up rules as they go to cover their corrupt antics. Bought a table here, when they checked my purse they allowed me to keep my mace but took my anxiety prescription bottle. Circumstances didn’t allow me to retrieve it from security guard taj. I called exactly at 6 the following day when they opened to ask about my bottle. She told me that she doesn’t see it in the podeum where they keep it but taj would be in at 10. I got to opium at 1145 to retrieve my belongings. To be talked to like a child and told my belongings where thrown in the trash and I’m welcome to go climb thru the dumpster if I’d like to find it.Manager Tim was extremely condescending when telling me it’s their policy to not allow it in their club but also not to hold on to it. Yet no policy guidelines to show. Told me I had an option when I did not it was removed from my purse and put in her pocket. I would have left this establishment and gone else where had I known this would be the outcome.Imagine script bottles have names and information for the purpose of proving it belongs to you when you have health conditions that require you to carry it on you constantly and a nightclub thinks they have the right to dictate that.Never again

Friday, St.Patricks Day was the first time Ive ever been to Opium!... I absolutely LOVE IT!... Frank Ski, was playing the hits and keeping the crowd pumped! I really had a good time, and will surely come back!

The absolute worst atmosphere on a Friday night. We went there at 7 like the advertisement says for happy hour and not open. Reserved on the nightlife site and it clearly states free before 11, which they meant at 11. We came to hear the band really and did not come for anything else. The class of people were definitely not the class where the band use to sing throughout Atlanta. Very disappointed. Old IG page and terrible miscommunication across the board.

I have been here inly one time and that was probably the last. I went on a Saturday night with a friend for her bday in which she supposedly had a section but the section could barely fit 10 people. I was so cramped. No room to move. Worst $$ ever spent!

Very mature crowd, two bars with pleasant bar tenders and a great choice of deejay (FrankSki) on Friday nights. Many clubs have virtually eliminated the dancefloor but this one has one directly in front of the deejay booth and although not huge, theres enough open space to get your groove on. Opium is alright with me!

First it wasnt opened on time at 7 pm. Then band though excellent startes 1 hr late. On top of that I was sitting on a couch near the stairs and after being here for over 3 hrs the staff came and ask for us to move because they needed the couch for another section. I had to find a manager to ask about what happened. He says this happens all the time. WHAT THE HELL!! First, he should have came to us and explained and then offer us another section to sit in, but he just walked off. This was my first and LAST time here!

I use to come to this particular spot during my college days and was very excited when they changed up and got new people in charge. Me and about six other people traveled from Norcross to come to this specific place because of a night that was advertised for this past Friday night. When the ladies were cleared to go in the gentlemen were told that they could not come in because of the shoes they were wearing.As a group were always very aware of dress code and price before we go anywhere. The dress code was not advertised and the advertised night was not honored when we arrived.One of the gentlemen in my group asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came out he was on a phone call and refused to end his conversation to properly address my friend. He was very UNPROFESSIONAL and very RUDE as he waves my friend off before he could even speak.Needless to say we WILL NOT be back to an establishment that doesnt properly advertise and where the management is Unprofessional.

False advertising, rude staff. Unprofessional. Dont go to Opium, there are better options in Atlanta. Dont waste your money especially if get bottle service you will not see your hostess after you get bottles and they dont have security to keep people out of your VIP area. They advised that they had a live band but the did not and when I asked about it they were rude and got an attitude. Never again. There is so much more I could add about the bad service but you get the point.

Horrible. I never give had reviews but we went has VIP tickets and werent given wristbands. Then we get inside it was a smoke filled nightmare with weed coming from every direction. Plus the security chick didnt check my friend but thoroughly squeezed every part of my body. The chick taking tickets was super rude. The people in the club were friendlier than staff. Never again. So not worth the money.

UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE ! Staff was unkind and management didn’t make any accommodations after I complained. As this is a very large club , there are many seats . Although, if you don’t buy a bottle you aren’t allowed to sit . Yet , my party was asked to move when we purchased several $45 hookahs and payed $20 each for entry. Not to mention having to carry my own hookah across the floor to the bar . Which was potentially dangerous and it just looked ridiculous. Wouldn’t EVER RETURN !!! Will deter any of my friends from visiting .
