I was lucky enough to check out a surprise Kevin Hart show last month while I was in town for a business trip. The staff was unbelievably nice and the customer service is amazing. Its such an intimate environment that you really feel incredibly close no matter where you are (although I was able to get third row luckily!). I HIGHLY recommend checking out this place and tipping your bartender when you do!

If a celebrity like Kevin Hart CHOOSES this place to workshop his new material while he is in town, you know it’s a gem.I scored last minute tickets to a Kevin Hart show on a Wednesday night. Tickets sold out in less than a minute, and manager Chris was EXTREMELY responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The club is intimate but not cramped. Drink service was fast and delicious. I felt like I was in a speakeasy!I highly recommend this place and can promise you’ll have a wonderful experience that you won’t soon forget.

A small, intimate setting which allowed the comedians to interact with much of the audience. The staff was great. Respectful and friendly, even when that girl had a bit too much to drink and needed to be removed. They were quick and nice about it, didnt cause a scene at all. The comedians turned it into a joke and we all moved on quickly! Would definitely recommend to anyone 21+. Side note: I was on a date and this is one of the most fun ones Ive ever had! Fellas take heed

My babe and I really enjoyed ourselves here last night. Patrick was a really great host. The comedians were fun. Love the diverse environment. I would just recommend putting hooks under the tables so the ladies can hang their purses. ️ Drinks were really good too. I was actually good after the first one but there’s a two drink minimum. Lol. I would recommend this place for a good date night with your babe or friends.

Its pretty good most of the time. The regular comics have a nasty habit of taking forever to come up with new material, and there are times when it feels like the comics think the performance is an overcharged joke (when they should ironically take performances seriously). The Atlantas Best showcase is usually the best show - even over celebrity/feature comics - but I once performed at an open mic night immediately before Chris Tucker surprise-performed out of nowhere, so you never know. Definitely check it out as part of an Atlanta excursion every now and then.

Reasons why its our favorite comedy club: we like that its small. It feels exclusive even though its not! The smaller size makes it easier to hear as some of the ppl I go with are hard of hearing. Theres a parking ramp close by, so no worries about parking. We also love to eat at The Vortex next door - before or after, or maybe before AND after!

My favorite comedy club in Atlanta. Sometimes they have surprise celebrity guests, who are invited to major gigs and they have a pre-run at the Laughing Skull. In my experience these practice gigs are way funnier than the big ones, since they can be more relaxed in smaller crowds.

On February 26th 2020 I got two of the hottest tickets in the city to see Kevin Hart. After trying and trying and trying for 14 days straight to get them it finally happen! And I must say is was well worth it. For such a intimate venue that only holds 70-75 people. And you have over a million people trying to get tickets, I felt like I hit the lottery. So if you’re reading this know you too can and will be just as lucky as I was. Almost 24 hours later my lady & I are still talking about the show.

A wonderful little club where the seats are comfy, the drinks keep coming and the laughs are to die for.My wife and I went here for our first time to see Emo Phillips and we were really impressed. Despite the small venue, the service was top notch and drinks were easy to get. Because of the small venue, the comedians (including MC + 2 warmups) were able to really interact with the audience. It made for a stellar set of performances.Much better b than the other clubs and mega shows Ive been to!

The place is great and small. The real issue is they don’t really supply any good acts. They use to have local and national comedians come through every week. Now it’s just the same 10 local comedians. They just hope that a well known comedian will drop by unannounced. Yet that’s far and between. If you’ve never been to comedy shows outside of Atlanta you will think this is the best. But if you’ve been to other comedy clubs around the nation, you’ll see how behind this club is. There’s actually better clubs in Atlanta that has better comedians. Too bad Atlanta Improv lost its location.

Absolutely worth the money. We got a VIP table in the second row. It was extremely close to the other tables so if you are not comfortable with being close to random people, you probably will not enjoy the atmosphere (as the entire place is this way and is very small). The comedians were excellent but it would be nice if the establishment could do something about the excessive noise in the background caused by the ice. The fact that they have a 2 drink minimum is absurd. Why can’t people go and enjoy themselves without being forced to order multiple drinks? Additionally, if you get pulled over after leaving, that’s an immediate DUI. Why? Because in order to be at this club, you have to order 2+ drinks.

Word of advice, do not book the VIP booths and think you can talk at all or laugh too loud. There was a guy I believe his name is Mathew that was like a babysitter that came down twice talking about this is your second and third warning, in my face talking to me like a child. Only because we were the closest to him so he was watching us. This ruined my whole experience so I only got to enjoy the beginning of the show. So much for a happy birthday with this egotistic man in my face. I will definitely be going to a different comedy show because of this. Ridiculous! 3-stars because the comedians were good.

Ive been to a few open mic nights here. If you understand what an open mic night is, theres is damn good. Sure not every joke will land, some people are just starting out and dont have their sets tight yet, but Ive only ever seen one comedian that didnt get at least one good laugh from me. I have seen one headliner comedian sneak in 5 minutes at the end of a night as well, so although I still believe thats mostly sales bluster, it is true that famous comedians do actually sneak in to try out material on occasion. All in all a great night for a small cover and a couple of four buck beers.

The ENTIRE experience was top notch, and I will return after the competition with friends just to enjoy for the heck of it for sure! For a solid 2 hours, an array of SO many comics I literally lost count, graced the stage for VERY well-prepared sets! What I especially loved was the POSITIVE vibes (poster advising of an idiot-free zone) and respect for each performer. People want to see the comics- not a rowdy audience. I left feeling like I was around people that respected their work and each other. LOVE.

The Laughing Skull is one of the must see places when youre in Atlanta. You enter through the Vortex restaurant, which has amazingly creative tasty burgers, head towards the back to what feels like a secret location behind the restrooms. Enter the through the red curtains to find yourself in a cozy little club. The kind of place youd expect to hear real jazz music and beatnik poets. Youre about to see a great comedy show no matter the night or lineup. This place truly respects comedy and allows the comics to express themselves. The rules for the audience are enforced but always with the mindest of Lets have a good time. There will definitely be cussing. There might be some slight nudity ((probably from a male comic) so dont go if you want a clean show.Another great thing is that well known comics do often drop in on regular night unannounced just to do a set. A great surprise when it happens and a great amount of fun and laughter even when it doesnt.
