This is definitely a place you can come enjoy amazing art even on a Sunday. There was a line when we went but people were safely distancing. However I did not like the ramp on the inside because of the inability to social distance. The ramp is very functional for a wheelchair. There are multiple floors full of beautiful collections which include tribal, religion, popular culture and more. Definitely worth the price.

The High Museum of Art is such a fun place. There are exhibits that are permanent and always fun to rediscover and there are exhibits that are there for a short period of time. Those exhibits are very interesting, sometimes interactive, and always informative in a awesome way. I would highly recommend The High as a fun outing and change of pace. ART is great for the brain and soul. Enjoy!!!

Easily one of the best (if not the best) art museums in the south east, the High is an expansive and large museum that covers just about everything your heart could artistically desire...a floor dedicated to Modern Art...check...Impressionism...check. Hudson School...check. African art...check. Traveling exhibitions...done. And thats just scratching the surface. The photo exhibitions in the basement are always fantastic and the permanent collection is amazing. Theres really nothing bad that can be said about this museum at all. Even the cafe is tasty! Oh and the gift shop has tons of art books you need in your collection. I love this place so much I became a member! Beyond highly recommended.

Im genuinely confused on how anyone can give the High Museum of Art a rating below five stars. Its a beautiful and gorgeous museum, located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. With a serene interior courtyard, the towering presence of Atlantas skyscrapers surround you.The interior is clean and modern with new art exhibitions being rotated in-and-out on a frequent basis. The artwork, exhibitions, and pieces featured are rich in history and meaning. The personnel are friendly and helpful and the museum is affordable at $14.50 a person.

This place has stunning architecture, and always a good variety of exhibits including child-facing ones (I still remember and enjoyed the Winnie the Pooh exhibit). I personally love the abstract and modern art floor, partially because of the skylight portholes within the architecture. The museum has had a real push in the last few years to bring in virtual programming, it seems to have paid off in their COVID ticketing system. It was very comprehensive and I felt very safe.

$15 admission cost is a ridiculous price to pay to go to one of the most well known art museums, and located in such a convenient spot in midtown Atlanta. Please do come here at least once in your life if you live in or near Atlanta, I enjoyed every story of the building as well as the multiple open exhibits that are accessed via elevator. The entire vibe around and outside the museum is great as well, with aesthetically pleasing architecture. Going to come here again for sure.

Ive never been to an exhibit here that was disappointing. The museum is beautiful. Love the refresh they did on their permanent exhibit, and love Second Sundays! I do wish they were open a little later. The only downside to the museum is the price of parking. But I mean, hey - its Atlanta. Definitely try to take MARTA as theres a station right by the museum. Also, if you go into the gift shop as an exhibit is wrapping up, the exhibit-specific merchandise typically has a pretty steep discount. Did that for Infinity Mirrors ;)

Please hire front desk and cafe staff who value customer service! Assuming you hire avid art lovers or students (those who would be open to working part time)? As a visitor services and events manager at an art museum I recommend you focus on hires who value customer service with an interest in art. Trust me it worked for my museum, also try hiring older/mature. Expectations just need to be higher, team was not welcoming and didn’t offer any information regarding the museum. One was on her phone, the other just staring at the computer-at least say hello when someone walks in.Beautiful museum, just disappointed with the service.
