The Met is indeed an eclectic compilation of amazing artist. In particularly the efforts of Mutiny Art Works. It definitely shares an atmosphere of inspiring creativity from its artistic Tennants to the Owner and brain child of Mutiny art works(JP) and his talented staff. A brilliant display of artist sharing their gifts and given the opportunity to showcase it to the city of Atlanta and the world. Kudos...

I like the MET they have done well since revamping this space. Ive been to several events here and they didnt disappoint although its always hard to tell what the parking situation is about. Festivals. Getting food from a food truck. A garage space party. I had fun and the vibe in this area is cool... of course its the West End of Atlanta!

This place was grotesquely nasty. The exterior I get it. However, the inside of the studio was NASTY! The floors were dirty. We were filmed in a white room. However the white floors were very nasty and it was very clear they had not been mopped in weeks or perhaps months. The bathrooms were very small with no toilet paper. This place was totally unacceptable and should be shut down and thoroughly cleaned. I really feel sorry for people who book here before seeing the place.

It is a great place to network with others within the film, and music industry. Also great shops to truly be artistic or creative lets say. A few great studios and t shirt printing shops. A place for natural healing and antique wood working. You can often grab a bite to eat from the great Che butter Jonez food truck, or Koinoniv coffee right by the space lab. Plenty of parking and security!

The met keeps changing ownership. They raise the rent and started to be very selective of tenants discriminatively. I dont know their goal but this used to be a place for innovative artist and small businesses now theyre trying to be commercial which doesnt look like they are attracting the clients they want. Id advise to look elsewhere for your business because they arent ethical.

Cool place and was interested in renting a large space at the development, but there is no urgency when asking for information about the space available. There is only one gentleman that oversees all leasing and only communicates via email. Also, I get the feeling that he only is interested in a certain type of business. Seems as if he is screening to filter out businesses that he feels doesnt belong. Needless to say, I passed, not because space wasnt available, but he doesnt return emails. I am hoping that this development is inclusive to all being that it is in Southwest Atlanta, a community that thrives on being as such. I was able to rent 3000 sq feet elsewhere in the city.

Enjoyed visiting the Rise Theater inside this complex. The Met Atlanta has changed which street is the main entrance to the complex in the last year, so some GPS systems will still try to take you to the old entrance on Metropolitan Pkwy. So if you put into the GPS Met Atlanta or 680 Murphy Ave SW, Atlanta, 30310 your GPS might still direct you to the Metropolitan Entrance, but dont use that one. Use the entrance on the other side off of Murphy.

The MET is changing, & it’s only for the better. The Arts scene, specifically in design is thriving here at MET Atlanta. With companies such as “In God We Trust” “God Is Dope” & “We.Society” among a multitude of others the collaboration is bar none. The events being hosted here are cultural, interactive & entertaining. Kudus yo everyone involved.

Discovered this place recently; well, drove past it for years, but only recently introduced to some of what its about. I regret being so late to the party; its quite up my alley. Freeside Atlanta was the focus of my visit to this industrial park. A neat project/community of likeminded enthusiasts and artists, etc; I will likely refer to it as a hackerspace (correct me if Im wrong). Unfortunately I learned they will soon be relocating.. where to?.. who knows right now. They are a good group to know though, and well worth following to their next location. I have yet to learn about the other tenants and their niches... maybe one day.

I took a tour this week. This is an amazing, historic facility that is undergoing a rebirth. It was originally built as a cotton warehouse during World War I by Asa Candler of Coca Cola fame, so its 100+ years old. New owners took over in Summer 2018 and have begun putting money into the property to fix many of the issues that the prior owner never bothered to. The long term vision is to create a retail, business and artistic enclave with a coffee roastery (1000 Hills), cafes, market vendors, craft brewery, outdoor parks, etc. Its going to be super cool. Upgrades are now underway, and Im looking forward to how it is going to turn out as they make it appealing & inviting while still preserving the artistic vibe. This will be great for the West End area.

I attended a meeting hosted by TransFormation Alliance in one of the MET’s penthouses - can you say M I N D B L O W I N G ?! It’s the most upscale rental I’ve ever been in. From the beautifully tiled bathrooms, to the spacious kitchen, upstairs sauna, ample seating options, amazing windows that let in so much natural light throughout the place, I could go on and on... just see it for yourself because my review can’t do it justice. Besides the penthouse, walking through the MET feels like an experience, like a movie set. It’s a vibe. 10/10. The only suggestion I have is that they include more signage around the area because I was confused about where to go at first.

My husband rents a space here and we only continue to renew his lease because there isnt a better alternative inside the perimeter. The Metropolitan is a dilapidated industrial complex with a variety of rental options for small businesses and a few residential spaces. Some buildings are air-conditioned but most are not. Management allows renters to build out and make improvements to their spaces because it allows them to raise the rent for future tenants but they do very little to maintain — and absolutely nothing to improve — the spaces on their own dime. When the new management group took over, they asked for feedback and suggestions from current tenants but dont seem to have acted on them. The roads are still a hot mess with massive holes and majorly uneven surfaces, and they only fixed up the facades of the buildings visible from the entrance. Insurance used to be included in the rental cost but they recently required us to independently obtain $2 million of coverage. All of the major insurance providers denied us because their underwriters deemed the coverage amount unnecessarily high. The new management also has yet to implement an online payment system for rent, which seems way overdue considering how long theyve now been in charge. There is a huge gap in the market for businesses like this where an individual or small business can rent a few thousand square feet of garage/studio space. Perhaps if there were more competition The Met would do more for their tenants than just collecting rent.
