Me and my husband went to Bury the Hatchet while we were in ATL for the weekend. It was Our first time going to an axe throwing place. We made reservations over the phone and when we arrived, everyone was practicing social distancing n Employees were wearing masks. We were assigned Jeremy, our Axe Master, who would show and teach us how to throw axes safely while having fun. He made the experience so much fun. He watched over us and gave us really great tips on improving our throws and aim. I would highly recommend JEREMY as your Axe Master if you are deciding to visit Bury the Hatchet! Definitely will return again soon!

Awesome experience at our company event. The instructors had us throwing axes in minutes. They have a fun environment for trying something you may or may not have done before.Would be great for a date night, girls or guys night out or something fun to do before dinner with friends. They serve beers and have a snack bar.Very helpful staff.Check out my other reviews...KILLSHOT! and throw em hard and hit the bullseye!

Such a fun time!!! We have a last minute large party and they were VERY accommodating. Our axe master helped us learn how to throw the axe and helped a ton facilitating games. We will definitely come back to this place when we want to throw axes!

It was a real fun experience. Initially I thought it would just be a target practice, which it is, but the book of games provided turned a lot of things around. I highly recommend this venue if you would like to think out of the box a little and have fun with friends and your loved one.

Place was interesting. It was in the middle of winter but extremely hot in there. Other than that no complaints. The staff are super friendly and made the experience very enjoyable. I dont think axe throwing is something Ill do on a regular basis but me and my friends had a good time

So much fun. I came with my sisters and friend and we had such a blast. It looks daunting but it’s definitely not as hard as it seems. Renee (our instructor) was so great showing us how to throw the axe and he even gave us some great games to play. I highly recommend for a fun & different night out.

We booked a 2 hour session for a party of 9. We had the pleasure of having Maverick as our Ax Master. He was great! Very informative, patient and fun. It was everyones first time, but everyone finally picked it up. We will definitely be back! Thank you Maverick!!

This place is a blast! I’ve gone a couple of times and had tons of fun both times. The employees work with you on technique at the beginning and both that I interacted with we really knowledgeable and helpful.

BTH is great fun! The staff work cohesively and effectively and ensure all parties/groups understand the rules and have a grand time. Definitely recommend if youre looking for something fun and inexpensive to do (parties, date night, friend group settings, etc)!

Bury the hatchet was a wonderful and fun experience with friends! The staff are very kind and down to earth, they’ll teach you how to throw and become your helpful guides as you try to hit that bullseye . They have a variety of hatchets - wood handle, metal handle, long, short, etc. You can find the one that feels right for you as they will help you get the technique down for each one. The shop itself could use a little more love but everywhere there is consistent with the theme - wood and hatchets. Come here to have fun with your friends and bond over how many times you miss the target!

I had a lot of fun. The staff is very helpful, beer prices are responsible, and they are practicing good safety precautions.

A group of maybe twelve of us met up in celebration of our friends birthday. Id never thrown a hatchet before. Never had any desire to. So glad Im not a stick in the mud and Im always willing to try something new or I wouldnt missed out on a great night of fun and friendship! Our axe master was very cool and down to earth, and we even made pals of a few other axe masters who added to our fun. KILL SHOT!!! Great new memories and we all left with all limbs infact. Success! Lol

I’m only giving 3 1/2 stars because all they have for their “light food/snacks” are chips, popcorn, and pretzels. If they had fries, wings, pizza by the slice etc it definitely would be much better. I will say axe throwing is a lot of fun.

Went here today for a group meet-n-greet. It was an awesome experience! Everyone had fun with this challenging, unique sport while mixing and mingling within our group. It definitely made the team’s mixer more exciting and helped us get to know one another in a relaxed environment. Our “axe master,” Matt, was great too! Very entertaining and kept us feeling confident while guiding our team competitions. Thanks to everyone that made today possible! We will definitely be back.

This was My wife and my first time attending as well as the 2 other couples we were with. The check in process was very easy as we did our waivers on line before attending and the staff was ready for us when we arrived. Now here’s the great part! They paired us with an amazing host! Lawrence was full of energy, life, and experience. He made our whole evening amazing with his quick wit, informative instructions, and competitive game options. You can’t go wrong if you get Lawrence. He’s why we rated our experience as a 5! Give it up for Lawrence. Yes we even took pictures with him because he was so good.

Great activity for groups. We had a blast. We arrived as a group of 8 people on a Sunday night around 7pm and had to wait about 20 minutes in comfortable couches while watching the football game on flat screens. A dedicated guide/instructor monitors your group to ensure safety and help with any issues. So it’s not as dangerous of an activity as this sounds on paper. They serve beer and wine here (surprisingly) and light snacks only. But they allow you to bring your own food/ alcohol or order takeout. Note: some of the bullseyes are harder to hit than others so make sure to rotate bulls eyes if you’re playing competitively (which was a lot of fun). Very brightly lit so you won’t have any issues with visibility.

This was the best thing Ive ever done. It was so much fun and after I figured out the stance and the way to do my arms, I did super well!! The staff is super supportive and they were really happy that we were happy to go. 10/10 will be returning!

Just had a group meeting here and everything was fantastic! First time going to one of these so it was great to have knowledgeable staff to coach us through how to throw the axes. I was scared at first but it was really fun! They have an instructor with you the whole time who gives you safety precautions and teaches you how to throw. It was not as bad as I thought.

Looking for a good time? This is the place! Ive been twice with teams from work and I had a blast both times. You might be sore the next day, but it is worth it.

This place was often. Great staff, very good environment, and fun concept! Great way to spend an afternoon with some family or friends. The only noteworthy thing is that they dont take cash at the bar. Not a problem, as long as you know up front, but this is your heads up. If you want beer, chips, water, or anything else, make sure you have a card.

My friends and I just left Bury the Hatchet in Atlanta off Roswell Rd and we had an amazing time. Mike was our Axe Master and he is absolutely amazing. He made our experience so much fun with the competitive games we played. More over he took the time to learn our names and to encourages us by name. I will definitely be back.

I was put in charge of organizing something fun for my friends to do for one of our friends birthdays. I had seen these axe throwing places around town but had never tried it. I chose Bury The Hatchet and a group of 8 of us went there tonight. The staff was great and we all had so much fun. It was a unique challenge and our time went by so fast because we were having a blast. Our Axe Master was named Mike and he was awesome. He led us through several different games that kept it from getting boring. He taught us some good best practices and gave us tips throughout the night. He encouraged us and was very personable. My friend group and I are already talking about coming back again soon. Super fun place!

Lots if fun with very friendly staff. We did a private reservation, but the staff stayed with us and scored our games, gave us tips for improvement, and made sure we had a good time! Make sure you book early and make reservations because it is not too big and it is set up to encourage bigger patties to book. If you are looking for something new and different, give axe trowing a try!

Great time! All of us (parents and teenagers) really enjoyed perfecting our axe throwing skills. While I was skeptical at first---it was actually very safe and A LOT of fun. Would definitely come again :-). Maverick was our fearless leader--very knowledgeable and great guy.

I drive by this place everyday and had no idea it was here. Went here for a birthday party and wasnt that excited about ax throwing, but it turned out to be a great time. The instructor was very helpful and helped keep the pace going by introducing different games that made it more competitive. Will be back!

This place is so much fun! The axe master is helpful and really makes you feel secure during the entire game. Ours was Rene and we DEFINITELY recommend him. Hell have you laughing and feeling relaxed in no time.They dont serve food but you can bring in anything youd like to eat. And its convenient to a bunch of restaurants so thats nice. Overall its a really chill atmosphere and all the staff are easy to talk to and friendly. I couldnt recommend it enough, so just do yourself a favor and check them out!

This was our first time throwing axes so we werent sure what to expect, but this was hilarious. Such a great time! Our ax master-Marley- was great with helpful tips throughout the session and had fun games to play. The facility is set up really well and it really is so much fun! Would definitely recommend it to someone who has not tired this before.

I had a very great experience for the soft launch. Its a little bit hard to find but its in the corner of the shopping center next to Kudzu & Company. The instructors/staff are freaking amazing and very patient. Kat was phenomenal and did a wonderful job coaching our group. Be sure to ask for Kat and tip her well! Plenty of seating and many lanes to throw axes. Tip: aside from closed toe shoes, dress as if youre in warm weather. Its extremely warm inside even though it was 30 degrees outside. Youll thank me later!

A great place to go if you are looking for something different and to have a lot of fun! The people there are great and youll never realize how great you are at throwing an axe. Highly recommend for friends, family, and co worker events.

What an awesome experience. I had the pleasure of going to Bury the Hatchet for a friends birthday party. You get an axe master that helps train your party on safety and how to throw. Once youre acquainted then the fun starts with games. Note there is no food, but I pretty sure you can bring food with you. Also you get a snack with every beer you purchase. If youre into bar games and looking to break up the monotony of a regular night out then this place is a cut above the rest.

So I was surprised how much I enjoyed this! I went with a group visiting the area for business. We had a great time competing amongst each other. They also had a small but decent selection of beer. We ordered pizza from mellow mushroom and ate in between hatchet throws. Although it is dangerous and they go over the rules and enforce them its a very relaxed atmosphere and a lot of fun.

Really cool place with something different to do! Throwing axes was a bit nerve-wracking for me at first but then it became thrilling. Such a fun experience even though I kinda sucked at hitting the target! lol Would definitely recommend. Note that its tucked in the right side of a plaza so its easy to miss.

Had a couples date night and enjoyed the time. Wish there was more Axe throwing than waiting for your turn. They pair you up with another group and instructor. diffidently a must do, but not a do again.

This was so entertaining. I went with a few work colleagues and definitely was a little nervous at first because I had never thrown an axe. The session last about 2 hours and you are trained how to properly throw an axe at the beginning of your session. Once we got the hang of it, we were able to actually compete against each other. They also allow outside food & non-alcoholic beverages. And they have a bar that serves beer and wine. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning!

An incredible time, with friendly, helpful staff. I cannot emphasize how cool the workers are. They will tell you how to improve, and theyve seen it all. Go get a little sweat on with some satisfying thunks.

I went here with my work group and my instructors name was Josh, we had more fun throwing axes than any other group activity that we have currently been on. If you have a group of friends, or your family or work I recommend this highly!

What a fun and different evening! Great activity for groups (6 in our group). A trainer gives you instructions, guidance and keeps score for competition games. You can purchase beverages and light snacks here as well.

My friends and I had an amazing time here, we were greeted warmly and felt welcomed by all of the staff. Maverick was our Axe Master and he did a fantastic job, he was very enthusiastic and was really interested in teaching us all the proper techniques. We will definitely return!

We had a great time. And no one injured. The staff was great. They took lots of time to ensure everyone in our large group had a chance to succeed and stayed safe while throwing large heavy sharp axes around. The place was casual and comfortable with plenty of seating and drinks available for purchase. The one key item to remember is to have closed toe shoes or socks to wear with the loaner shoes which have limited sizes available.

Been to Chops and Hops in Ft Lauderdale... They have a much better atmosphere due to it being more like a bar than a facility. The equipment (axes) here was beat up for sure. It is what it is. The axepert we had was great.

Good fun. Safer than you think. Our axe master, Maverick, guided us throughout the entire event. He paid more attention to the people that needed it and displayed a real sense of leadership for the group. Everyone (3 girls, 3 guys) felt at ease and had a good time.

My group was apprehensive prior to securing our time slot, the usual typical jitters of tossing any sort of dangerous item always leaves you with a bit anxiety. While I knew there was no actually harm myself, there was still that petite voice in the rear of our minds telling us otherwise. Fortunately we had an amazing axe master, Maverick. From the very moment we walked into the building we were greeted warmly. His approach to teaching us the overall safety measures and ensuring each of us would be able to enjoy ourselves was top notch; in fact I would be hard pressed to find another activity guide near his level. Not only is Maverick witty, ensures there is plentiful avenues to enjoy ourselves with competition or overall venting our frustrations against the wooden foe known as a target board; he is genuine to the core.When we book next time, which will definitely happen, Maverick will be the one man we are going for! On behalf of my group, we implore you to inquire for Maverick. He is the man!!

On a whim, I decided to check out this place with a group of friends and I honestly had no idea what to expect. I never dreamed that I would have so much fun throwing axes. From the start I felt comfortable and safe in this environment. Our “axe master” Derrick was the best. He took his time showing us the ropes and made sure we had a good time. A solid five stars and I will definitely be back.
