A unique little gem of a learning experience. The hands-on theremin and synthesizers are sure to inspire creativity! Lots of fun merch is available on the way out.

This place is a complete letdown. They can’t muster putting something other than a dead hollowed out box of a dead synth in the window display. the fee for the museum is $8.50. presumably they came up with that number after some deliberation among themselves. i have an idea; let everyone in for free and use it as an opportunity to educate and promote the brand. they’ve decided on the opposite.

Amazing timelines of Bobs life and the history of synthesis with touch screen kiosks with tons of archival material. There is a fascinating immersive dome that explains how electricity turns into sound. Chance to play a theremin and synthesizer and learn how they both work. There is a display of Bobs workbench and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a delightful gift store will all kinds of Moog-inspired items. They limit photos and video which is understandable to keep the wonderful surprise of this delightful place.

Really enjoyed this. Its a perfect little museum. I was impressed with what they could do within a small storefront. Almost everything was hands on and a wonderful experience for all. I really didnt know anything about this before going and I learned a lot. My favorite part was getting to play the theramin. Fun for history or music lovers. Also the staff was very friendly and charming.

So fun and interactive! Its the smallest museum Ive ever been in, but I spent hours in here having a blast, interacting with all of the displays. You can get a full history of Robert Moog, and his invention the Synthesizer. They also have 4 unique instruments you can play, the Theremin, a Visual Modular Synthesizer, and two different Synthesizer keyboards. The museum is still new and in excellent condition, admission is very affordable at $6/ticket.

Stopped by today and had a great visit! The guy at the front desk was very informative. It was fun to get to play the actual synthesizers and learn about sound and how Moog’s creative process began. Lots to absorb and since it’s hands on you really can be engaged with everything. All the interactive features makes the museum feel much bigger than it really is! I can see kids enjoying this since they can touch and play with pretty much everything. It’s also sensitive to the hearing impaired, there is a projector video with text to match the audio, as well as the interactive flat screens with text and audio. I’d come back again just for a rewatch on the sound production piece!
