ZaPow is a pretty cool pop-art themed gallery. Its right in the heart of the South Slope area so stop by and check it out. Lots of fun stuff.

Had a lot of fun exploring this gallery! They had a wide range of artists work to look at and buy. I saw several things I really liked!

Craft beer, cold brew coffee, and lots of cool art to look at. What could possibly be better? We even had the honor of meeting a couple of the artists, who stopped by to replenish stock of their prints!The staff was super friendly, and even gave us a free map of the area when we mentioned we were from out of town. 5/5, would absolutely visit again!

I had a bunch of questions about how a person gets their work into a gallery and the owner was incredibly kind and patient with my questions, showed me around and discussed several collections she had in (all of which were amazing). If you are looking for illustration-based artwork with a touch of whimsy and humor *everything* here will delight you.

Very unique and fun gallery of mostly illustration art. Where else can you wander around in a delightful space with a great coffee or a fine beer to get culturalized.

My husband and I spent about an hour here checking out all of the amazing art. We ended up buying a few items, but there were so many other pieces that we loved as well! We would definitely recommend visiting.

A fresh blend of local artists and genres at very fair prices. From memory, you had some pop culture pieces, abstract nude models, metaphorically characterized escapism, classical satire, visceral surrealist personas, abstract landscape, and much more. If you like works that tread off the beaten path but not too far, youll want to pay ZaPow a visit.

Lovely little bar & coffeeshop with a great selection of nerdy pieces. I was hooked the second I walked in and heard Across the Stars from Star Wars playing on the speaker. My kind of place! We stopped in on Saturday evening and had a few beers while checking out all the art - they have a nice selection, and even a few drink specials (at least on Saturday night) which was nice.

Well be back!Loved to stop here, but I made the mistake of taking a picture to look up the artist later when I wasnt with my family and friends, and toddler. The man was incredibly rude instead of just asking me not to take any photos. I immediately realized my mistake and apologized, but that wasnt good enough. I was looking forward to coming back to pick up a couple things, but not likely now. People make mistakes. Sorry.

Beautiful and unique art. We found some really cool pieces. You can enjoy a draft local brewery while you shop or just view the paintings and 3D prints. Great place that I will return to in all future Asheville visits! We love our new piece by Randall Smith!!

I had a wonderful shopping experience here! The owner was so friendly and asked us what kind of art we liked, then walked around with us and talked to us about the different artists. We ended up buying some very affordable and unique pieces. She went out of her way to make sure the art was delivered safely to us. I hope I will get to visit again one day!

What a great gallery in Asheville! They give space to the smallest of artists and also sell craft beer and coffee. I saw almost exclusively wall artwork but you might find a different set of artists when you visit

Nice place to look at mostly fantasy/scifi artwork, perhaps with an alcoholic beverage in hand from their bar.

The employees are always pretty awesome and helpful. The art is varied and had a little something for everyone. The coffee is always delicious.

This place was pretty cool, lots of art to look at while you drink your coffee. Some expensive and elaborate, some small and more pop culture. The coffee was just ok, but really I was there to see what the art of Asheville was like.

Zapow is a wonderful and inviting gallery of great pop culture pieces of art. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices of the pieces of art. Owner was friendly and inviting. Will definitely be back to purchase more!

I believe you may never find a gallery like this one. The art is bright, fun, and the talent is incredible. If you like movies, comics, fantasy, music, pop art, and similar things, you should definitely visit.Staff greets you when you arrive and you just feel welcome. There are things in every price range from $1 and up. Things for kids and adults. It really is amazing.

One of the coolest galleries Ive been to. Highly recommended if you like quirky and bright high contrast art. I found something I could imagine buying from pretty much every artist- the curator for this shop has a great eye.

Ive been to the old location and was really impressed, you dont find many galleries that have video games and various other nerd culture art. Would recommend going​ to check it out if you have any interest in art and nerd things!

I stumbled across ZaPow while in downtown Asheville. So glad that I did. The art was a great mix of original images and interesting twists on beloved favorites. When I was there, I picked up a print of Boba Fett and an Ewok eating ice cream together for $15. For folks who arent Star Wars geeks... just try to picture a fierce bounty hunter contentedly eating ice cream with a tiny teddy bear. Its adorable.I had a question about one of the pieces, and it turned out that the woman sitting at the reception desk was the owner. She was great -- polite, friendly, and helpful.This place is a gem. If you like comic books, super heroes, sci-fi, and/or original art, its well worth the trip.
