I love going to the zoo. There is a lot of walking, so be prepared, but it is always a nice place to visit. We bought a family + 1 (plus one is for a guest) year pass, its for a good cause and cost effective.

We visited this before we walked the zoo and after. I got some collection coins and we went into the shops and looked around. Great beginning of the zoo!

My children absolutely live this zoo. Easy to walk with good places to eat. Seems welheelchair and stroller friendly from what I can tell. I suggest using Parking Panda to get a great parking spot near the restrooms, a food court area, and the American bison. Our faves: primates, big cats, the Amazon, elephants, pandas, small mammals, and birds (last time we went their habitat was closed due to construction). Best of all...its free. My family lives a little over an hour away, but its worth the gas of a day trip.

Gift shop, food, and plenty of parking at this entrance
