Wonderful exhibit, sadly closed during Covid times. Even though it feels shut down, you are allowed to walk around the fountain and up to the top portion and view out. Easily to miss this section since it is on the edges of the cemetery.

At one point this was just basically a type of retaining wall but then it was transformed into a beautiful memorial. There are several pieces inside that commemorate female veterans. The building always get plenty of natural light from the ceiling which makes it feel relaxing. The staff are kind and informative.

It was an honor for me as a service member to serve with the finest women soldiers in the United States military. This memorial signifies the great sacrifices that our women service members have made for this country. This is a great place to bring your friends and families To learn about the history of our women service members who serve their country with distinction and with honor and sacrifice. I salute all the women soldiers who served with they totally deserve this memorial and this honor

The building is open from 5-8pm daily. This is respectable memorial which honours and spotlights essential contributions of female serviceman to the U.S. Armed Forces during various wars and periods of conflict. The memorial building is has neo-classical features and includes exhibition halls and galleries where you can read stories and see artefacts and learn more about how females have participated and played intricate part of the US. Armed Services throughout its history.Just a few minutes walk from the main Arlington National Cemetery Visitor Centre, you can conveniently visit the Women in Military Service for America Memorial before making your way up the hill to the President John F. It was an honor to be sent as a Representative from the Great State of Texas at the dedication in 1993 of the Women’s Vietnam Memorial Statue. As a Navy Veteran it was most humbling!

One of two main monuments in Washington that celebrate women in war. While the other one near the Lincoln Memorial casts women as nurses, this one is a more general tribute to womens services during wartime. In this way, I find this one to be a far better one.We need more memorialization of women and the services theyre rendered!

Amazing place and my experience left me speechless. The site is very well maintained. It provides a great visual for those that just don’t know about us and it also provides a home for all of us that might have no where else to call home in the male-dominate environment.

Visited the museum for my nieces US Army promotion ceremony to LTC. The museum was a very fitting location for this event. It was humbling to see the many acknowledgement of military women serving in a very bold way. That day I was proud of my niece and even more proud of all women who serve/served in the USA armed forces.

I love the people who made and continues to make this a wonderful place to visit and I highly recommend that every female, young and old, military and non-military visit WIMSA! And please help support us with your kind donations.

The museum was booked for a catering event on the day and immediately following the services for Colonel Prevette. The meal was outstanding and the facility and displays were amazing. I was so proud as a woman to realize that so many had served our country and they were being honored with memorabilia and with so many displays. A great...

The small exhibits were clearly crafted with love and attention to detail. The videos and visuals were moving and informative. I was disappointed to see that this tribute to the women who have served receives no federal funding. Even through the cemetery was crowded, I was alone for much of my time in the memorial. If you are visiting Arlington, this memorial is certainly worth walking through.

I want to say thanks to the nurses that cared for me in 1970-71. Whether they were at a hospital in Vietnam (Cu Chi), Japan (the 249th), or here in the USA (Walter Reed and Valley Forge) I was always given the best of care.
