Audie Murphy is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, just across Memorial Drive from the Memorial Amphitheater. A special flagstone walkway has been constructed to accommodate the large number of people who stop to pay their respects to this hero. A native Texan, Audie Murphy was the most decorated soldier/hero of WWII as well as a well-known & respected actor. He wrote his autobiography To Hell and Back, then starred in the movie of the same name.
