Audie Murphy is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, just across Memorial Drive from the Memorial Amphitheater. A special flagstone walkway has been constructed to accommodate the large number of people who stop to pay their respects to this hero. At the end of a row of graves, his tomb is marked by a simple, white, government-issue tombstone, which lists only a few of his many military decorations. - from the link.

A native Texan, Audie Murphy was the most decorated soldier/hero of WWII as well as a well-known & respected actor. He wrote his autobiography To Hell and Back, then starred in the movie of the same name. He is best known for his western movies. The gravesite is located in beautiful Arlington Cemetary near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, on the south side of the amphitheater. It is grave # 366-11 in section 46, under a tree next to Memorial Rd.RIP Mr Murphy, you are sadly missed.

He didnt want a different stone from his friends and was the most decorated soldier of ww2. Came from a small Texas town and became a hero. Located right behind the tomb of the unknown soldier and is one of the most visited graves in the cemetery. He has a path that curves right next to his resting place.

By the wars end, Murphy had become the nations most-decorated soldier, earning an unparalleled 28 medals, including three from France and one from Belgium. Murphy had been wounded three times during the war, yet, in May 1945, when victory was declared in Europe, he had still not reached his 21st birthday.
