The lodge is gorgeous. We stayed in a little cabin in the woods, which was lovely. The water and sunset views are lovely. I wish the lodge sold firewood.I guess we stayed in off season. I couldnt get a hold of the horseback riding people. It seemed there werent many water activities to do.The on-site restaurant (foggy bottom) has a great patio view, great food, and great service.... Only downside is they dont serve alcohol and are closed on sundays.Loved the nearby marina where you can buy alcohol and feed huge fish and geese.Would stay again.

My family and I stayed in one of the cabins with another family. Although the price point was fairly high, the accommodations were very nice and clean with plenty of space. The outside space was excellent, with a fire ring, an outdoor fireplace, and 2 picnic tables.We rented the cabin for 2 nights but were unable to make it the first night, and the resort went above and beyond to accommodate us in this regard.The lodge is very nice - we didnt eat at the restaurant but it was busy so I imagine its probably pretty good. Many people in our group took advantage of the kayak rentals, mini golf, etc. and all had good experiences.

We stayed in one of the cabins for one night. I look forward to returning one day, it was a pleasant experience. Price point was a big high for what you get, though ($140 for one night, two twin beds and a sleeper sofa). The TV and AC worked great, and we had brought our own cooking supplies, so were able to make our meals there. We tried out the pool and the playground. The lodge/resort looked nice inside, but we did not experience staying there. Would like to come back and explore the lake swimming and fishing.

Had a great meal at Foggy Bottoms. Hunter took great care of us. Tucker Tower was amazing. Had a nice drive around the lake. Beautiful place

Our church recently held our annual Womens Retreat at the Lake Murray Lodge the weekend of November 6th-7th. We all had dinner Friday night at the onsite restaurant, The Foggy Bottom Kitchen, really great food and an amazing view right over the lake with inside and outside dining. The lodge exceeded our expectations with beautifully appointed rooms with balconies overlooking the water as well as a relaxing lodge to sit by the fire or outside on the patio. If you have a group event, Teresa Ellis is wonderful to work with. She was always accommodating to my every request. She and her staff made the process of booking to checkout smooth and convenient. It has been fully renovated and you wont be disappointed in this incredibly peaceful place. I highly recommend if you want a nice getaway!

Family of 4 with an infant. There was some mix up with my reservations but the front desk quickly took care of the problem. As I sit here on the balcony overlooking the lake I am so grateful to be able to have a place like this to bring my family and make wonderful memories. The front desk staff are so helpful going out of their way to help us. We didn’t have paper plates to reheat leftovers in our microwave but the lady at the front desk happened to have a plastic plate and gave it to us. The Foggy Bottom Kitchen has amazing food and great staff/service. We are in the lodge this trip but will be trying the floating cabins next trip. Thank you lake Murray for providing the place for my family’s adventures!

Really enjoyed our first stay in the cabins.We were told by the staff they are going to be updated by next year. Cant wait to come back and see the renovation!

Really enjoyed a business trip to the lodge here. The accommodations were so nice and the views were beautiful! It does not feel like staying at a state park, but as a resort I highly recommend it. The staff are nice and helpful and very convenient that they offer a restaurant on site! I want to go back and visit the rest of the park some day!

This is one of the nicest lakes around. The water is so clear compared to many southern lakes. It is big enough to find a nice secluded cove to spend the day at and enjoy the serene atmosphere. There are several campgrounds that surround the lake and even an ATV campground. The marina has boats you can rent and also a brand new lodge you can stay at. Theybhave a splash park for the folks that rent cabins or stay in the lodge. We spend one day at the water sports area and all had a great time. We tried the horse back riding and the family loved it. We highly recommend this lake for your family campouts, or weekend getaway.

This is the second time we have stayed there. All rooms have a lake view. The ice machine wasnt working one day, but after we told them, they fixed it quickly. The staff is very nice. Fishing from the dock at night was great! It was a great experience both times weve stayed!

Brand new and beautiful lodge for those who prefer to enjoy the outdoors with full modern amenities. Every part has a lakeside view. There is a fitness room, mini golf and an outdoor pool/splash pad. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, I was not impressed with the food at the restaurant.

Resort king rooms are spacious and have great patios and excellent views of the lake. Good pricing. Room refrigerators are the small dorm type; our freezer section was unusable as it was badly frozen over.Front desk, water sports, and Foggy Bottom staff are very friendly and helpful. Front desk personnel and maid service do not wear masks, though there is a partition at the front desk.Grounds are pretty in some areas around the Lodge. All native grass areas are yellowed, sad-looking, and poorly maintained, including trash that needs to be picked up.

Its such a beautiful and picturesque . Awesome scenery but Google gave us a straight and easy way to get there but on the way back Google maps gave us wierd directions and we were disoriented and scared like the children of the corn. Other than that I would definitely be back in the future ️

Friendly staff, nice modern lodge with spacious seating and overlook of the lake, we was able to check in early, that was awesome. The rooms are spacious, 36 TV, pull out sofa, mini fridge and microwave, we love view of the lake from our room, able to sit on your private patio and watch the boaters. Be mindful you’re on cement floors so if have wet feet, be aware it’s a bit slippery.Our only complaint is wifi is spotty (they block Fox News app,SMH)We would stay here again, wish they had a tiki bar nearby for adults, that would be kewl.

This place was simply awesome! Came here for a convention and was very surprised at how great this property and grounds are kept. Our rooms were clean and the perfect temperature at all times! The views of the lake are beautiful. The kids that work at the marina are so helpful and extremely polite. We spent 3 days here and have zero complaints! I have to also say that the water activities are priced very fair. Best of all although we brought repellent, it was not needed! No bugs! We have since then been back 2 other times once for the day and another over night trip and we will be back again. Great place for families!

Clean and comfortable cabins good place to fish and have family outing .

Beautiful lake but hotel and all camping & RV are sold out well in advance so hard to get a reservation. We will plan ahead!!! Parking and lake access all around the lake is via a phone texting app and not easy to compare prices.

Had a great time, staff was very good and attentive. Beautiful area, missed five stars because the room was not vacuumed or swept very well plus the AC kept going out

Lake Murray Resort is definitely a hidden gem in the Oklahoma and Texas area. An absolutely beautiful lake, campground, lodge, and restaurant. We visited for a family reunion and had the most relaxing time and the water was so refreshing. If you’re with the three letter cell service provider be prepared that you will have no internet and very spotty service for texting and phone conversations. Don’t worry because the lodge and restaurant offer free WiFi that will save the day when you need to get back on the information highway. The cabin we stayed in had plenty of hot water, great air conditioners, and cable tv. Be sure to bring your silverware because none are included. There’s a convenience store real close as well when the cooler starts running low on beverages and ice. Last but not least I found the staff at the lodge and restaurant to be VERY friendly. I highly recommend!

We didnt stay there. We ate at Swadleys Foggy Bottom restaurant. Great food. American home style food. Reasonable prices for a lake lodge restaurant.

The people were nice. The room was great. Beautiful sunny view the day we arrived. The morning after was also beautiful even though it was foggy. It was great.

Here for Xmas with my family. We were able to get 2 of the new lodge rooms. Very nice accommodations.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was honestly one of the best places ive stayed. We had a beautiful view from our room and it was very clean.

Checked out early...Very disappointed, the beds are uncomfortable, the doors are hard to use and there is no elevator if you’re booking a room in the large cabins. The picnic area was almost unusable with spiders in every place you look. Also, the power went out during most of the day and most card-enabled doors didn’t work.The view was good and the restaurant was not bad.

So close to Dallas a great spot for hiking and jump in the lake. Flat not too techical MTB trails.

Why dont you make sure all rv and tents places are clean?

Kayaking was very cheap, though not a crazy huge area. Bathrooms were clean for beach bathrooms. Really great area for swimming with all sorts of inflatable slides, big tubes, etc. Beautiful park

Wonderful place!!! The facilities are so nice, as are the people! The watersports area and mini golf are fun and very well kept and the pontoon sunset cruise was relaxing!

Swaddlies Foggys at the lake was very enjoyable. We sat outside so we had a very nice view of the lake and the geese. The service and food was very good.

Beautifully nestled ON THE LAKE, 1st class accommodations, tvs are small but rooms are nicely laid out and patios have a gorgeous view of the lake!!

Awesome staff, fun park. The trail area smaller than most parks Ive been too. I you keep a good pace on a dirt bike you can cover it in less than a day. The parking is in an assfalt lot separate from the trails so dont expect to park under the trees anywhere unless you pay a bit extra for a tent camp spot then you can get under some trees. We booked a cabin, cabins are really nice but they are 5 or 6 miles away from the trails so be prepared to load up at dusk and drive over to the cabin. All that said we loved it and would do it again. The trails are easy so it makes a great place for my kids to practice for racing.

My husband and I have stayed in the new lodge and loved the experience! We will return as a couple back there. However, the cabins are a COMPLETELY different story! We rented out two cabins for a larger family get together over new years week. We knew they wouldnt be as nice as the lodge, but my goodness, they were horrible! They were filthy, so many things were either broken or patched together, the chimney in one of the cabins was so filthy that the smoke came back into the cabin causing the smoke alarm to go off constantly (and, yes, the flue was open), and the general feel of the cabins was just very uncomfortable. I do NOT recommend you staying in these cabins. They are way too expensive for what you get. We will be taking our family trips someplace else from now on.

Mom and I were up in Ardmore and saw the signs for the restaurant. Foggy at the lodge. So didnt eat there today but will return another day.

The Staff was Very Respectful and amongst other things there, I couldnt STOP Lookin!!!!

Love this place we had an annual meeting there and it accommodated all 400 of us perfect. The floating cabins are very nice and clean.

Second time I have been here is been fantastic.

Lake Murray is beautiful. It feels very clean, beautiful water and lots of amenities. I just wish they would start remodeling their old cabins, they are pretty old, and look as if they have been repainted 2 dozen times on the inside. I would stay at the lodge if you stay a night. Its new and beautiful. Other than the cabins, the park is amazing!

Its new and all rooms face the lake. We stayed for two days. Their restaurant food was great. Real home cooking.

The cabin is not worth the price charged. The cabin was neglected (TV not working, oven door not secured, outside of cabin dirty and picnic table burned) staff did fix TV and even however the resort price tag did not meet resort level of service and experience ...not a good value for the dollar

Its a great place for family fun. Nice clean rooms in the lodge and nice cabins. Great area for the children ( pool, water spots, miniature golf). There is a golf course for adults. Horse back riding. There are so many things to do. My family enjoys having our family reunion there.

I like this place because it has a restaurant inside with tables on a terrace in the lake. The food is okay, sometimes they dont have everything on their menu, but I like to eat sitting on a terrace watching the sunset on the lake.

We enjoyed staying here. The new lodge they built is very nice. The restaurant has good food. I love the coffee there. The new boat dock is nice and has picnic tables on it and a bench. I love sitting in the balcony of our room to watch the sunset and sure rise.

One of the best places to visit for a family vacation. Beyond welcoming staff and very clean and pristine parks. The water park is an added perk. Loved it. If ten stars were possible that would be my rating.

The renovations have really elevated the lodge. The view is world class. Given the pricing for rooms and food it might be a world beater.

I was up there for a conference with my job. My room was excellent. The view from my room was amazing. The food was decent. However several of my co-workers had issues with there air conditioning not working in the lodge bedrooms. Maintenance had to come and unlock the A/C panel. I will say this the house keeping could use some revamping. The bathroom where the conference was on had one sink with soap, the trash bin in the bathroom was always over flowing and at one point there was no paper towels. The cleaning lady started clearing my room before I had even checked out. Luckily for me I came back in time because she had the item I was coming back for on her cart in hall. Im giving them 4 stars based on my overall experience and not a couple of isolated incidents.

Great little cabin. Wish you didnt have to bring all your cooking gear, but it worked out ok. People at the lodge were super friendly.

They have what they call natural look. Basically its unkempt grounds, no mowing, a copperhead, pygmy rattlesnake & rattlesnake haven! Its really tacky! They make enough on camping fees, visiting fees to certain areas etc.. that would more than cover cost of mowing around the lodge. Wonder how many people get snake bit every year?

Staying in one of the cabins. AC wasnt on when we got here and it took forever to cool off. Got stung twice just outside the front door my Hornets. Maintenance had to come by several times to dress things that were wrong with the cabin so we got to enjoy their company. I have stayed in better places for Less.

We rented three cabins and each was suppose to sleep four. The twin beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable. However, the fold out couches were horrible. Obviously, the mattresses have not been replaced in years. Not only were the mattresses soiled but they were flat. We were able to sleep one person on the coaches while still folded up in two of the cabins but the couple in the third cabin was miserable all night. We should have asked for our money back and driven into Ardmore to a hotel but we were exhausted from being on the lake all day and the younger children were already asleep. When I told the front desk clerk how upset we were about the sleeping accommodations, she said that the lodge had replaced the coaches just recently but we must have gotten the last three cabins yet to be upgraded. Lucky us.

The new facility is beautiful & well ahead of what we are used to with Oklahoma lake resorts & lodges. The meeting facility is top notch for what we need & is very clean. The staff goes well above the call of duty for the events we attend here twice a year. Our interaction displays courteous & helpful state employees, which is not all too common in most any state. They work hard & provide supportive smiles along the way.

Fantastic place to visit in Oklahoma if you have some family time to plan. UFO Buster Radio approved!

It’s our little weekend getaway in the winter. The new lodge is very nice but we have lost the ambience of the old lodge. If it is a long weekend we will prefer the cabins to the lodge for the privacy and kitchen.

We had a very enjoyable visit. The lodge rooms are spacious and renovated. The bed was very comfortable. We were sorry the pool was already closed for the season, its still pretty warm. We hiked several trails which most were well maintained. We tried doing the Lakeside trail but it seemed to mostly be in a flood plain and was extremely difficult to follow. With all the recent rain I can understand. All in all we had a very nice time, so relaxing.

Had a great time there this weekend. The staff at the lodge was very friendly.

The first time Ive been here since it has been remodelled or I should say rebuilt it was done right. The service is out standing. Everything clean and new.

Attended a wedding reception at the Lodge and it was very nice. Lodge was recently remodeled so its very nice and clean. The cabins however, are exactly that, cabins. Dont expect anything more. They definitely need updating, especially the bathrooms!! I would not take a shower in there!!

Beautiful lake. Plenty of spots for RVs and camping. The resort is pricey.

Ive been to this result twice, goofy golf is fun. Prices are fair, and no bad treatment from any staff or employees. Even the park rangers were nice. The tenants are generous as well, and allow viewing the lake from the house docks. They have a park there which was full of friendly people and open space. I did have an issue at the tennis courts when it began to get dark but we resolved the issue by adjusting a light time with a tool, dont know if it wasnt allowed. Was just trying to have family fun and play Newcomb. Resort was beautiful as well as there docks and restaurants. Definitely recommend, campground/cabins are always well cleaned as well. 10/10 would go again, but maybe in the summer brrrrrr.

Beautiful facility. Our room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. Landscaping was gorgeous. Staff were very nice. Surrounded by the lake. Family place for sure!The only negative for our stay was the on site restaurant. Poor food, poor service, overpriced for the experience.The rest of the resort was still good enough to get 5 stars from me.

The Lodge was an excellent place to hold a wedding reception. They had a large room that held 150 people with ease. We hd it on New Years eve, most if the guest stayed in rooms at the lodge , a few rented nice cabins for the night,which was really convenient. There was plenty of parking and quite a few handicap parking spaces. Had a great time and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Good food nice view

This place is really dirty. I cant imagine why people would want to come here unless they have never been anywhere else. The cabins are dirty (see picture below) and I would describe the park as minimal at best.

What a wonderful relaxing place to go for the weekend. My husband and I went for a couple days as a getaway. So quiet sitting by the shore and watching the water come up to the shore. The Rake was wonderful the food was delicious to have a little restaurant right there. The lodge and cabins are all redone. Everything is brand new and it is wonderful.

Staying in the lodge is a luxury lake visit; staying in the cabins is a warm and cozy lake visit. Either way you will enjoy your stay!

Vacationed here during the summer with kiddos and had a great time. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cabin near the lake. There is a pool/water park thats a blast, quite a few playgrounds, bbq pits, mini golf area, and a kick butt floating obstacle course. You can also rent boats or wave runners. Price is super reasonable.

The breakfast place has no toast, no coffee spoons, there is only one toilet for the big restaurant.Two things they do are really tacky, they use food tray for coffee creamer instead of basket.They tape a plastic spoon on all pens to prevent customer steeling their pen.
