Gallup Park really has everything an outdoorsy person can love: water, trails, boardwalks, direct access to the B2B bike path, fishing, boat launch, canoe rental, and an amazing rubberized playground for kiddos (or young-at-hearts). Oh yeah -- and swans top off the experience.

Came here for kayaking and it was an amazing experience. It was very peaceful and there is alot of the pond to explore. It was very clean, peaceful and quite. The wildlife was aggressive, plenty of ducks, geese, dragon flies. I will definitely be back. We were on the water for 2 hours for $30 with 2 separate kayaks

Great park, clear trails, fun playgrounds. Lots of options for family fun. The hiking trail was clear and partially shaded, there were plenty of fun stops along the way. Really neat one way wooden bridge too. Lots of water for kayaking, fishing, canoeing and more. Clean playgrounds with picnic tables to enjoy. Bathrooms were cleaning and well kept up. A great place for a fun outing with options.

A gem in AnnArbor for a weekday / weekend fun. It has multiple options for every one. Walking / Running / biking trails, multiple play areas for young kids, unmarked fishing spots, canoeing / kayaking, picnic shelters, peddle boating ( currently may not be available due to COVID19 ) and a tiny butterfly park. The adjacent nature area extends the trails for miles offering pure nature experience. There are multiple small bridges connecting the trails. A sand pit for preschoolers is perfect for sand bath or building sand castles. Access is from Fuller Road, multiple parking spots but gets full during summer days. Weekends are always crowded but even weekdays attract lot of people. Early mornings are best time if you want to avoid the crowd.

This is a beautiful park with lots to do for all ages. There are 3 playgrounds, with one being quite large with a lovely scenic view of the river. There are walking paths and fun sculptures of animals throughout the trail that you can play as a scavenger hunt game as you locate each animal. Canoe rentals are also available. A great place for the whole family!

I met and worked with a Gallup, he was neither kind nor courteous to me, just professional. I was different. I learned long ago to be kind and radiate compassion even if I was thought odd, thus I fill my heart and health with the outdoors. The Odawa, Ojibwa, Potawatomi, Wyandot and other tribes lived, traveled and revered the lands and lakes. That Gallup park was given and allowed to be public and accessible for/to all by certain privileged and wealthy families is all of the Earth returning naturally back for all people.I’ve traversed the “park” since the early seventies and I recommend the healing of the outdoors for all. Michigan is an Algonquian word for “big lake”.

Love this area on the shoreline of the Huron River. Weather it be picnics or just a lovely nature walk on the B2B trails that pass through Gallup Park. Encounter much wildlife in this area as you walk along or over the river with its connecting bridges and islands. Also close is a canoe, kayak and paddle boat livery inwhich they take you up stream with canoes, kayaks and tubes and allow you to take the river back. A great place for family fun and gatherings located just outside Ann Arbor.

This park is not only beautiful. But big! I have to say that my view on what a city par can be has changed drastically. Gallup park is expansive, open and just generally beautiful. All the equipment looks new, there is more than ample parking and the lake view is pretty great for the location. The only issue i have is that the bathrooms were locked and the portapotty was atrocious. I would rather leave the park for a gas station than use the facilities there. Its possible that i just experienced the one bad portapotty, but it was really REALLY bad. Other than that, the park itself is amazing! Isk how i lived in Ann Arbor for two years without ever visiting it before!!
