The space is small for the size of the university. This building can definitely use a renovation.

Building is old, and equipment is very old but they will have an update starting this year. Many type of elliptical machine, treadmills, weights, classes such as yoga, planking, cycling. Have rental equipment at a decent price. Lockers are a little expensive. You MUST have Your STUDENT ID!! Or you will be denied entering the building. NO EXCUSES. So dont start a argument with the staff. Trainer are great, I had two young ladies, they were very encouraging nice and a great sense of humor. The bathroom for women are like walking into my old high school gym yeah. Needs update very bad. I saw mold on the sink. Many lockers have spider webs because the staff doesnt clean. Some equipment works some dont. Get there early, or after 4-6 gets crowded. I will post pictures later.

It doesnt matter what I say, this place is falling like Jenga at an old folks home.

Old building with low ceilings causing it to get humid. I wish there was more air flow and a newer variety of equipment.

Pretty antiquated facility, but run well enough. The pool area and locker room is abnormally stinky, and the track above the basketball courts gets pretty hot.

Registration desk was helpful. There was a bit of a back up due to a registration mixup with another member, but they resolved it and were polite and apologetic about the delay. Facilities arent too bad. Hot as blazes in the workout area. Giant ceiling fans to cool down the room are loud and not so effective. Glad they are looking to do a renno.

If an outhouse with a couple rusty dumbbells is a 1-star gym, then this is a 2-star gym.

Apart from new equipment, CCRB is just about the same as it was 40 years ago. Thank God they are going to tear down the place and replace it next year.

Not the best recreation facility on campus as both the NCRB and IMSB are better as this one is outdated which some basketball rims bent and no private showers unless you go the bell pool locker rooms.

Review mostly based on convenience, as I work on central campus. It is, obviously, always packed with students, who dominate everything. Some are well-behaved, others are animals. Prices are fine, equipment is good. Fine hours. Can smell funny, but it is convenient.

The facilities could use an upgrade, but they are certainly doing everything they can to make it better. Sometimes, its a bit tough to communicate with them but it works out.

This is a great facility that has many equipment & space to work out. It has an international size swimming pool, fitness classes, squash rooms, basketball court, running tracks & 2 locker locations. The one big down side is that its always hot & muggy with the exception of one of the rooms I have been to.

Older building, reasonably priced fitness classes.

Lots of machines and weights. Good pool. Ample basketball, racket ball, and squash courts. Gets crowded right now mostly because of the closed intramural building, though wait time is never rediculous (10 min tops)

Honestly the worst University Recreation Center I have ever been to. While the equipment is fairly nice, the building is old and outdated. There are no amenities offered. The ventilation is awful. The lockers are not great or spacious. Overall, the recreation center is in desperate need of an update to the 21st century.

As a graduate student, it is nice to have access to a free gym, but I would never pay to come here. Go to the YMCA instead. Too many bros slamming the weights around. Bring your headphones, the weight rooms get very loud.

Newly renovated, the CCRB is as wonderful as it has always been in terms of versatility and ease of use. The best work out facility on campus.

Not the most up to date and fancy gym but it has all the equipments you need. The ventilation could have been better but you cant beat free for students.

The fact that a 10 pound plate fell from more than 6 feet high onto my Vibram shod foot, injuring it to the extent that it still feels bruised 3 months later, has trumped the fact that I otherwise greatly enjoyed the facilities.Accident Details: Upon reracking a 45 pound plate, the weight rack vibrated slightly causing a 10 pound plate to fall because the 10 pound plates were overracked at that moment. I had headphones in and didnt hear the 10 pound plate slip and had no time to react to move my foot, so it simply fell directly onto my [essentially bare] foot, causing injury.Responsibility: Surely it is not the responsibility of gym patrons to look out for boobytraps during their workout; I did nothing wrong. Who is to blame then? The manufacturer is [fundamentally] to blame for not making their weight rack intrinsically safe by, for example, angling the posts upward slightly so that small perturbations would not cause overracked plates to fall. The gym is [immediately] responsible for not recognizing that the weight racks are not intrinsically safe and doing something to help make them extrinsically safe by, for example, putting some paint on the endpoints of the posts to indicate to people to not overrack.Regardless, it bears repeating that this was not my fault as it shouldnt be my responsibility to keep an eye out for boobytraps while Im working out. I dont know what type of safety measure would be best to remedy this situation, but injuries like this are senseless and preventable, and they result from carelessness and carelessness, alone.

The gym has almost everything, but can be very crowded in the early evening. My favorite activities, by time spent, are waiting for a squat rack and waiting for an incline bench.

It has what you need, the only thing is that the equipment for weight training is distributed among different rooms and that makes difficult to perform supersets and alternate between strength machines, cables and free weights, also there isnt a hack squat machine and special equipment to train calves.
