Even with all the Covid precautions you dont lose any ability to exercise how youd like. Plenty of things to do still and its very easy to make a reservation.

The NCRB is a well equipped gym with an indoor pool and Sauna. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and its free if youre a UM student! As gyms go the NCRB is very clean and well organized. If youre a UM student looking for a good workout on Campus, I would definitely recommend choosing the NCRB over the CCRB, absolutely worth the bus ride!

Recently renovated. Great variety of facilities. Free weight is too small though.

Clean and newly renovated. Much less crowded than the central campus gym. Pool is nicer and doesnt smell like sweat.

Very nice newly remodeled gym. Very spacious with multiple levels. They arent lenient if people forget their ids they are strict with their policies, but they have great customer service. They have many things you can rent to work out, ranging from weight belts (leather or nylon), gymnastic rings, badminton, basketballs, and so much more. They have accommodation just about for all as well.

Theyre a good gym, just too small for the amount of traffic they receive during the college semester.

Very nice, clean, new machines, very nice (but slightly stuffy) track and a very good positive inclusive attitude.

Nice facility if youre close to the area. Very good sauna which gets really really hot.

If youre someone heavily interested in boxing or other similar sports, youll be heavily disappointed with the NCRB. Theres only one heavy bag (the bag itself is fine) and one speed bag. Not a single reflex bag in sight. The speed bag is almost always out of order, and it usually takes many weeks before its fixed. I assume it gets broken due to uninformed users trying to adjust the bag height- something easily fixed with a simple infographic (since some staff apparently dont know how to adjust it either).Tldr: lack of boxing equipment, terrible upkeep. Rest of facilities are fair.

Keep in mind the membership seems like it is monthly (and is labeled so) but is actually a 2 month at a time membership. This is difficult to communicate admittedly but I feel a bit mislead so I have to drop my rating a little bit. Additionally, there is no free parking and the gym itself is pretty small.

The renovated building is just top notch! They have a wide variety of gym machines and sufficient quantities even for peak hours. The swimming pool and locker room areas are modern and have a clean look. The best part is this being in near proximity to residents near north campus, who no longer have to commute to central campus to go for a swim!

The renovations did not make any improvement. There is no area to just be doing your own exercises. All the downstairs space is only for weights and upstairs is for cardio. There are 2 hallways where people try to use matts and do their exercises buy its annoying because you are always in the middle. there is only one nice room that looks like a multipurpose area, but IT IS ONLY FOR CLASSES!!!! and it is so small that they only allow 10 people, which means if you are not there 10 minutes early you won’t be able to join the class that you are paying for! the year and a half it was closed was definitely not worth it

Its a newly renovated facility with weights, cardio, cross fit, and swimming areas as well as sports courts. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, and knowledgeable enough to answer any questions.

Way better with the renovations complete. Makes it very easy for students and faculty to stay fit. Needs more parking!

The new NCRB is so nice. Obviously it is now better than the CCRB but I am willing to drive up to north campus with me and my friends just to play basketball up there if the gyms on central campus are closed.

Somehow, the University spent 16 months and who knows how much money making this facility smaller and with less weight training equipment. At least it looks modern.

Facilities are outdated and are always uncomfortably hot and absolutely packed most days. Should be 24/7 but instead doesnt open until 10am on weekends for some reason. But what other option do you have if youre unlucky enough to get stuck in Bursley?
