This strip mall theater is a fun place for adults. The shows are not kid friendly. The service is kind. They brew not only beer, but also tea and coffee. They also serve snacks, but not a full meal. The shows are all improv based with the house team doing a walk, trot, run format. One interesting element here is that the technical improviser was better than average, wiping the scenes in a way to help the performers. The space is wheelchair friendly.

Great small-space-turned-theater-brewery. I wouldnt have thought it would work, but the cozy/intimate environment is actually really nice for enjoying performances. I like the local community support they do too.

I initially went to watch an improv show on a Friday night. The venue is on the smaller size, but there is still plenty of seating (high-tops, bat seating, and regular audience chairs). The show was funny and engaging and the performers seemed to be having a great time, encouraging the audience to have a great time, too.Pointless brewery has an active improv school, as well. I went to one of their short-form drop-in/open mic sessions on a Sunday and had a riotously good time. They encouraged the audience to act through various scenes and situations (audience members do not need to perform if they dont want to) and the whole experience was within a safe space, which added to the positive environment.I absolutely see myself continuing to participate in these open-mic nights in the future.

Great place to enjoy local performances. They specialize in improv comedy but have a huge range of other shows. Parking can be a bit tricky, so get there early! You can have a chance to see the next big comedian before theyre too pricy!

It was so good that I decided to come back the next evening, and someone I knew was there! I enjoyed the spirits & atmosphere very much. Highly recommended!

I went with a friend and I totally expected to feel awkward for an hour watching people do shady improv. I was really impressed! The improv groups were all amazing and great actors, and I could not stop laughing! They even had a pianist on hand for musical improv, which was way better than I thought itd be. A great pick for entertainment on a Saturday night with friends.

Pointless is, hands down, the best improv I have ever seen - and I live in Chicago. Since I moved out of Ann Arbor, I miss Pointless so much Ive thrown myself multiple pity parties over it. Its a great place for various occasions because you can bring people there and have an awesome time, but you can also go by yourself and its not weird. The beer is cheap and good.

Fantastic microbrewery and solid improv comedy. Its definitely a small and cozy place but in a very friendly sort of way. The bartender was fantastic and let me sample the brews before selecting. The staff was very friendly and the improv cast was fun. Great night out.

Cute little place. Entry fee is on a per show basis, and so it isnt like a door charge where you can get in and chill all night. Instead, the show ends and you get hurried out. They had a nice selection of beers and snacks. The amateur show was super funny.

I only came in to have the beer and it was very good. From a brewery perspective there are certainly better atmospheres if you just want a beer and to talk, but they offer unique entertainment if youre into that

Amazing place to laugh, learn, and enjoy amazing craft beer libations. A place to spend the night out with friends, on a date, or flying solo (note: theres an open mic, so feel free to come alone or in group to try improv, standup, singing, or whatever suits your particular fancy). Its all pointless anyway...

Tiny little improv theater in outskirts of Ann Arbor. they have a bar with beer, coffee and snacks and a tiny little main stage. It is wise to book your tickets in advance and arrive early as the seating is not assigned and the total number of seats is quite small.

I pictured stand-up comedy at a downtown Ann Arbor brewery. First of all... no. It appeared to be a small store front in a Packard strip of stores, which made me pause, but this was the date we had planned, so we pressed on. Im glad we did. The inside was very clever. The ambience felt a little like a jazz club. It was quality. The place was nearly full. This is a popular place, and for good reason as we later learned. When the audience was polled, there was about a 50/50 mix of regulars and first timers that attended. They have a small, but varied selection of delicious beers that rotates weekly. The entertainment was all improv, and these guys are good at it! We laughed so hard, and would have even without the alcohol. We were still reciting memorable lines from the show long after we left. That was a super fun date night!

Friendly staff and yummy beer at a good price. Snacks are a good deal too. The improv was a little painful, with brief merciful releases of hilarity. Overall, too much awkwardness and some no-butting. Tickets were also more than I expected for a 10pm improv show, and less than half the theater was full.
