We had an awesome time. It’s a tour around the place and they give good explanations on the animals there. Recommend it a lot if you have kids. At the end they let you hold an alligator and a snake.

This place is awesome! Lots of interesting animals and you can get really close to most of them. Staff was very friendly and whether you do the self guided tour or the guided one, youll have a good time. Feeding the animals is super awesome, and Im not sure what was more fun...feeding the tortoises, the Gators, or the bongos, but it was all awesome! Theres plenty of free parking and the gator decor/signs are cool and funny too...all part of a great overall experience. Keep up the good work Croc Encounter, you rock!

This is a pretty cool place! Definitely worth doing the tour since you get to see the guides feed the animals throughout the tour. Also there is a few buildings you cannot go into without the tour guide. You can buy celery as you enter for $5 so you can feed the various other animals there as well. I recommend that as it is very fun especially for the kids. Also make sure you go on a warm day if going on the winter as the crocodiles and alligators will be more active. Call ahead and talk to any of the employees to ensure it will be a good day to visit.

This place is awesome. The owner was nice enough to give my son a bag of carrots to feed the animals after I was reluctant to do so but he didn’t want my son to experience the park without feeding the animals. We were in awe the whole time there. Really recommend the self guided tour. There is a whole grass area with tortoises that you can go in and feed them that we really enjoyed, it’s a bit muddy so just be careful. The best part by far was getting to hold the baby gator, my son was so happy.

I had read the reviews before going on this field trip with a school and it seemed to depend on what time you got there whether you got to see much. We were there at the wrong time. The gators and crocs were not in a performing kinda mood. They were not interested on the chicken on a stick being offered so it was a lot of staring at them in the water which you can do in most suburban neighborhoods around here. Only one of the 4 guides we had was engaging and interesting. I wouldnt spend that much money for what we saw.

Review №47

Pulling into this place I was a little skeptical -- not too crowded nor many cars and the introduction area/gift store is a small hut, fairly bare bones. The tour guide was wonderful from the get go: fairly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately as the tour started we couldnt find any crocodiles around -- cold weather is essentially what keeps these guys hidden apparently. Further, the tortoises werent hungry at all, but Im not sure if thats due to the cold or if they had eaten already. But from there on out we saw plenty of creatures. The goats and pigs and some other guys were quite friendly and hungry -- so, if youre worried you wont be able to use the feed for the alligators/tortoises in the beginning, youll have many chances later. Next time I hope to visit in warmer weather, though, so that the animals are more active and hopefully hungrier!

It was a pretty nice experience. The tour guides where very helpful. It was our first time doing something like this so ita hard to compare to anything else like it. But the snack area couls have been a little better. The girl that was suppoaed to be helping us with the snacks had a bit of bad attitude with my child. Also, there needs to be better fans in the aitting areas. That would greatly improve the experience if there was a fanned, shaded area to stop and have snacks and a cold drink with the kids in the middle of the experience.Easy to find.Parking is fine. Bathrooms are in the parking lot so go before you go in to keep from getting the kids all excited and having to take them back out to the car and then back in.Warn your child that when you near the croc area the gating is wide enough that it is dangerous for kids to stand too close too the gate.Cost is a little high for what it is. It was about $40 for an adult and child. The gift store is actually priced fine for what they have. Not outrageous like most.

The place is somewhat small. They have guides that speak at different areas throughout the encounter. The women were not very good with children. Their tone of voice was not warranted and displeasing. It is important to understand that most of the visitors are children and while they will need redirection, word choice, facial expressions and non verbal gestures are important. The male tour guides were great and a pleasure. One even needed to redirect the children ( the one that is going to be a teacher) but did so in a proper way. I liked the show at the end with Casanova and the snake.

We have had the opportunity to get to know this place thanks to a school trip.If I could define this place and the people who work here with a single word, I would say: Extraordinary.First of all, we would like to thank the young ladies: Jayde, Carlie and Shelby who are an exceptional team and above all very brave women. They have shared their knowledge through a guided tour that was full of fun jokes and interactive moments with the animals, which caused us many smiles and made us have one of the most educational and enjoyable days of our school history. The rest of the staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Everyone is very well trained to work with small children and with curious parents who want to learn together with their children (thats a plus, considering past experiences in other places where employees are not child-friendly).The security measures are excellent, I personally was afraid when parents have mentioned to me that this place contains more than 30 different species of alligators and crocodiles, but nevertheless, we all could enjoy enormously a place very well maintained, clean and with the best measures of security, so at the same time you can witness the natural beauty of reptiles.Surprisingly you will not only find crocodiles and alligators, the property also has giant tortoises that are outdoors waiting for you to give them a snack (snacks to feed the crocodiles, lizards and turtles are for sale at the main entrance for a decent cheap price ).Lemurs, kangaroos, piglets, snakes (non-venoms), iguanas, chameleons, antelopes as well as a wide variety of reptiles are available on the property for your convenience.
