Awesome little mountain not far from town. Skiing, snowboarding on one side, private homes on the other. Wonderful, down to earth, friendly people all around. Nice area.

Great hike whichever way you go about it; you can park at Proctor Academy or at the SRK Greenway crossing on new Canada Road via rt 4

Ragged mountain is a very good intermediate resort with fast lifts running to each of its two peaks. The only downside is that the cell phone coverage can be limited.

Ragged Mountain offers great skiing not only for intermediate and advanced skiers, but also more novice skiers, like me. There are plenty of blue and black trails to keep my kids happy, but having skiied at Mount Sunapee which offers only blue and black trails from the top of the mountain, I greatly appreciated that I could ride the lift to the top with my kids, and truly enjoy gliding down the mountain on any number of green trails. For my family and me, Ragged offers the best of both worlds: 5 stars for that! On the down side, we experienced a long wait picking up our tickets last season--even though I had purchased lift tickets online and had only to retrieve them from the cashier at Ragged. But there was no separate line for pick-up, and the limited staff, camera equipment (photos for passes), and counter space offered no streamlined way for anyone to get their tickets. After waiting and waiting, I ended up apologetically heading to the front of the line to ask if we could please just get our tickets handed to us and be on our way, and the staff obliged. This year, I purchased Raggeds low-priced, pre-season 4-pack, and am hoping to be on the mountain in no time once we arrive!

Im not really sure where to begin. We can start with the manager at guest services. From the moment we started interacting she was nothing but rude, her attitude was not customer oriented. Next up was the lifts. The lift attendants were nice enough to just stand and watch the crowd figure out how to go about things on their own. It was to bad I didnt bring my ice skates, I would have had just as much fun coming down the slopes. The trails were covered with ice although the staff pleaded the conditions are really nice actually. I was truly disappointed with Ragged.

Amazing grooming. Weekdays got the place to yourself!
