What a year 2020 has been for all! And, I wont write why!The free parking lot has no time limit for visitors (business hours) and youll get to be in the parking lot right next to the Downtown Disney entrance (Simba, not that much walking!).The only happiness we get is by continuing to go to Disneyland, even though its the Downtown Disney District only. At least we can see all the Disney peeps and feel the love! If you want to go; make sure you know masks, social distancing (and that includes seating, anywhere), are state regulation and required. The wait times for eating or shopping are long and youve got to make a reservation to enter any business, including just shopping. Look for a big sign right next to the line to get in the store and itll have a scan code or an employee to take your phone number. Youll be texted when its your turn to get in the line; it really is the safest way to go and keep it open to the public. The entrance lines to enter Downtown Disney look so long its almost a clue to leave, but, dont, youll get in really quickly considering the amount of people waiting next, in front, and behind you. Please try to be extra nice to the staff, theyve got to stand all day long, in all kinds of weather and keep the rules and regulations up to par; and handling so so many people a day, can be very challenging.Ive added a few photos and you can sense the loneliness of the empty parks. They miss us; they really do! And, I cant wait to run around the parks when they do open back up!

Parking is $10. There was a long line just to get in but it moved at a decent pace. They are super strict about the masks, couldnt even take it off for a 10 second picture when absolutely no one was near us. Probably wont be back until things are normal again. Definitely not like it used to be sadly

Really great experience overall! The cast members were amazing at ensuring guest safety. They were spread out and making sure masks were over guests mouth and nose. I would highly recommend getting a reservation in downtown Disney, for a place to eat and a guaranteed spot in the shopping center. The restrooms were clean and stocked, and the virtual queues did not take too long. It took about 1.5 hours to get into world of Disney, and about 2 hours to get into Buena Vista street. That may sound like a long time, but joining the virtual queues before lunch and then going to lunch makes the timing perfect.

The staff did an amazing job ensuring all restrictions were adhered to by every visitor. Masks are required and temperatures of everyone was taken.Measures have been taken for people to eat in shaded and designated areas. Park staff engages with everyone ensuring masks stay and and people are distanced.Every shop that is open had staff counting the amount of people who exited and the number of people allowed to enter. We enjoyed our time and felt safe!

Downtown Disney was wonderful! The parks and Downtown Disney have been closed for so long. It was nice to enjoy the holiday decorations, music, and festive atmosphere that the Disneyland Resort provides. They did a great job marking the lines for proper social distancing, tables were kept clean and were immediately wiped down and disinfected. My husband and I had fun shopping in the stores and looking around California Adventure park. Its worth the visit.

There was a line BEFORE entering the park that was checking for correct masks (some guy got stopped for wearing a bandana, not allowed guys!! Obviously), maintaining distance to check for temperatures, a mini line to pass through a metal detector, pass by a doggy (drug doggies) and lastly to check your bags before entering the park.. all under 10 mins... outstanding work. These guys are the best!!

Considering were still in the pandemic, it was a nice feeling to be back at the happiest place on earth. To see all the employees and guests follow CDC and local health guidelines was reassuring. Physical distancing was really enforced during our dining experience. There were markers indicating where to sit and stand, wash stations throughout, and hand sanitizers for all guests to use. The restaurant even gave us a plastic bag for our mask and a single use hand sanitizer wipe to use. Some retail stores will require mobile wait time, which I thought was useful. Great job, Disney cast members! Thank you All for keeping us guests safe as much as possible.

So with disneyland being closed due to the pandemic, downtown Disney is the next best thing to get your Disney fix. Or at least thats what I thought.First of all to get to downtown Disney you have to go through 3 different checkpoints, the first one is the temperature checkpoint that line is very long and moves very slow, the next line is to walk through a bomb sniffing dog, and then finally the line to check your bag.Once inside in order to stick with the line theme cause you know Disney loves a good theme, youll have to stand in line for every single shop you want to go in, but before you can stand in line you have to get into the virtual line. Whats a virtual line you ask, well its a qr code that you scan, then Disney will text you when its your turn to get in line, once you receive the text you have 60 minutes to get back to the store and claim your place in line. Yup line after line.

The staff always makes sure you are following the social distancing and wearing a mask. The only times you can take off your mask is if you are sitting down eating in the designated areas. You can’t walk around eating. They have a line that you get screened for before you enter. They check your temperature and do the normal bag check. Out of any place I have gone to since the pandemic started Downtown Disney District has enforced the rules the best by far. I’m very pleased every time I go here. I can’t wait for when Disneyland reopens.

Ch
Review №17

First off to get into the downtown district it is a min of 45 minutes to enter. When you arrive you better hunt down all the qr codes for any stores you want to visit as it will be a min of 60-90 min to be allowed to stand in line to enter. Then comes the fin of the line to the store. You can expect about 30 min at least to enter the store of your choice. Having to use smartphones to be able to have an experience completely killed the magic that is Disney.

They opened up Buena Vista Street in DCA so we decided to go to look at the decorations and eat some food. It felt really safe. The line to get in took about an hour but you never were in one spot in line for too long. And then there was another line to get into Buena Vista Street and that took about 20 min but they did a virtual queue for that so you didnt have to wait in line. They reminded people to wear their masks properly and people did. There were a ton of hand washing stations and no touch hand sanitizer. Mobile ordering food was awesome and quick and we had an overall great experience. Cant wait for the park to open once its safe to do so.

The Downtown Disney experience has severely changed due to COVID-19. While I appreciate Disneys efforts to make the place as safe as possible, it just didnt have the Disney magic anymore. Waiting times to enter stores were over 1 to 2 hours. Numerous restaurants and stores were closed (for good reason). But it was nice going into California Adventure for a bit. Again, it wasnt great, but it was nice seeing some parts of the theme still. I wont be coming back at all during the pandemic. But afterwards? Definitely.

Headed to Downtown Disney For Reservation at Naples for 5PM on a Friday. We landed in Simba and bypassed a 1 hour wait to get inside because our reservation was only 25 minutes out.Upon entering the main gate, there are uniformed police with K9 smelling every single person who enters. As we passed through security, another K9 officer was busting someone for marijuana vape pen. I take it they dont want ganja in the air, nor weapons, as everyone enters through metal detectors and a bag search.People generally wore masks and it wasnt crowded relative to pre-covid days. Limits are also placed on the number of occupants in the shops. We waited about 30 minutes in line to enter World of Disney Store, we walked through and into California Adventure, and the waiter at Naples was more than excellent.Overall, I have to give it a 5, because it was the best experience Ive ever had at Downtown Disney. Showing up near the reservation time and experiencing shopping and walking afterwards was a wise decisions.

Also had an unpleasant situation were someone came running up to my wife to confront her because her mask had briefly dropped below her nose while nobody but me was within 20+ feet from her. Downtown Disney was great as it always is as long as youre okay with following the rules of covid. All the Disney employees were very courteous and making sure you knew exactly where to go they had strict security to get in which was fast.the only thing is Ive been there twice actually in the last two months is unless you drive there and park where the designated area is to park youll be okay. But I used Uber and both times I had a lot of problems getting picked up because both drivers did not know where to go to get me and it caused issues as far as having to run across to the other side of the hotel and get picked up in the illegal area because they did not know where to go so I think Disney needs to do something to help with that because I dont plan on going back until Disney reopens like normal just because the transportation with Uber was ridiculous.
