Paradise Pier was the last of the Disney Themed Hotels we visited throughout the years, each great in their own right. We loved everything about this Disney hotel from The Summery Beach decor to the wonderful views of California Adventure. The staff at the hotel like all Disney employees are very kind and courteous and very helpful from the time we checked-in till the time we checked-out.

There are many hotels and resorts in Anaheim and within and among the Disneyland properties. Disneys Paradise Pier Hotel is a smaller and older hotel but with great amenities. If you get a room on the 3rd floor, you can get a private balcony with access to the pool and outdoor area. You can also watch the fireworks from just outside your room. The front desk team is awesome. Very friendly, and very kind: Stefanie, Julie and Julie, Katie, Candace, and Yesenia. They definitely represent the spirit of Walt Disney.Rooms have two Queen beds and a sofa that turns into a bed. They also give you a cott.We were greeted by chocolates on the bed and big chocolate dipped Mickey cookies. They give you several beach towels, lots of shampoo and other amenities. There us a safe and a refrigerator in the room as well as a coffee maker.

Super clean and quiet, easy access to the park. The life guards are on point, saw them pull a couple of kids out during our stay, so quick. Nice that they’re on duty all the time. The fruit water in the lobby is delicious and convenient, you walk by on your way to and from the park, great reminder to stay hydrated. Tons of characters on check in and bell services were so great. Had an Amazon Fresh order delivered and they held it for us since we were in the park. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a magical time here. Not sure what more you could want. It really is super close to downtown Disney (~5 minute walk). The lounge on the first floor is nice and convenient with reasonable pricing. We watched the fireworks from the pool deck which was great since then we could put our kiddo straight to bed after. Rooms were nice and housekeeping was excellent. No complaints.

Up until last year, my girlfriend and I were annual pass holders because we just love Disneyland. Thats right! L O V E. From the members with most of their excitement when you first arrive (weve run into a handful of cranky workers before lol), to when you leave at night. It usually brings us joy just walking into the theme parks with all the music playing. The bonus comes mainly from being able to get onto rides because some of the lines can be a pain in the rear.I could confidently say that our favorite rides were the Tower of Terror, Incredi-coaster, and Toy Story Mania. Pretty much all the main rides on this side. I cant say Cars land is great primarily because we hardly ever went due to the extremely long lines 2hrs+ (ALWAYS). With the new lands supposedly opening, Im sure well become pass holders again, but the question will be when considering the pandemic is still a grave concern for everyone. At the end of the day, the prices may skyrocket over time, but I see it being worth it in the end because all you have to do is drive, park, and wait. The remainder of the time is spent just having fun enjoying all the little and big things they offer.

We went to Donalds Seaside Buffet at PCH grill in the Paradise Pier hotel for the character breakfast. This character breakfast did not seem as popular as the other character experiences as we were able to get a reservation about a week before our trip. We had reservations for 9:30am and were seated about 10 minutes later. This later breakfast was perfect as we were one of the last ones to be seated and the restaurant was not nearly as crowded as it could be. The breakfast selection was great- chicken & Mickey waffles, banana french toast, standard eggs, bacon, sausage & potatoes, a made to order omelette station as well as a few other lunch items. For dessert there was soft serve ice cream with Mickey sprinkles :) The characters took their time and each table and really made every guest feel special. We were very pleased with the presentation of the food and the timely service. We never felt rushed. The characters that came around were Minnie, Daisy, and Stitch. Donald was available for a picture and meet & greet at the entrance of the restaurant (he did not come to tables). The best part was that at 11 when it closes for breakfast all those characters make their way to the lobby for about 20 minutes where they really have some fun playing around. This was a fun time for everyone in our family.

Paradise Pier is a solid hotel choice, but probably on the older side of Disneyland on-site properties. Not bad at all, very clean and what youd expect from Disney. We only stayed overnight, so we didnt really take in any extra amenities (pool, restaurants, store, etc.) on property at the hotel. It is a short walk to the far end entrance to Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Hotel. From there its a ride on the Monorail into Disneyland or a walk through the Grand Californian Hotel to enter California Adventure.

Stayed here recently as it was the cheapest option from all the Disney hotels. Check in staff were really friendly. I found the rooms to be a bit dated with decor but it was spacious enough. It could do with an update. Overall it wasnt too far to walk to Downtown Disney. The room rate does not include breakfast so youd have to grab some nearby or at the hotel restaurants. The location involves a lot of walking which is fine for us but families may want to keep that in mind.

The hotel seemed very clean and the service was excellent, as expected. A few things that lowered my rating:The elevator system. We spent a lot of time trying to get an elevator from our floor down to the lobby. Multiple elevators would stop for us but they were completely fully of people. There are no stairs available for use (only emergency stairs with an alarm on the door). So we ended up calling an upward bound elevator, riding it to the top, then going back down to the lobby. This was a frustrating waste of time.Noise in the rooms. The toilets are very loud flushers, so you hear the toilets of the rooms above and below yours whenever they’re flushed. Pack your ear plugs.

Wonderful play to stay at Disneyland! Its close enough you dont have to take any other mode of transport to get to the parks, but the monorail station is on the way in so you can take it if you want to. The walk into the park takes you right into Downtown Disney so its great for mornings in to stop at Starbucks or Jamba Juice and even better on your way out to stop at great restaurants for dinner like Tortilla Joes or the Jazz Kitchen! The view from our room was amazing! We could see right into California Adventure. The lights looks so beautiful at night. We could watch the fireworks from our room each night and could see World of Color too, although it wasnt as good as it is if youre in the park. Its something you need to see straight on and not from the side as our view provided. The staff were Disney fantastic! They gave us all the information we needed when we checked in. We even added an extra day on to our stay because we liked the hotel so much! (We canceled our other hotel). The rooms are spacious, clean and on Disney theme. The bathrooms were large and very clean! We didnt have one complaint about out stay at Paradise Pier! It was fantastic and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

All in all nice hotel everything you would expect from a Disneyland Resort Hotel. That being said its my least favorite of the 3 onsite hotels because it is the farthest away in terms of walking distance and not as nice inside as the other 2. The Room was very clean and tidy we stayed club level and honestly the only way to go if staying onsite. We saved a ton of money by having breakfast in the club also taking snacks from the club to the park for when we were hungry. They also offer lunch and a desert hour at the end of the evening. Service was top notch and staff was super friendly.

The Paradise Pier was a delight. Matthew checked us in and was so sweet and friendly, letting us know some really great tips to maximize our vacation. The room was a reasonable size and had a mini fridge, which was convenient. It is one of the furthest of the Disney properties and we didnt find out about the short cut through the Grand Californian until the end of our second day. You really feel that extra distance when you are logging 8-10 miles walking around the parks all day. The pool and hot tub were soothing for sore muscles, but I immediately had to take a shower after because I was itching so much. My favorite element has to be that it is Little Mermaid themed. Ursula is my all time favorite Disney villain and Little Mermaid holds a special place in our family as it is my sisters favorite and she had that as the theme for her wedding. If I were planning a longer trip at the parks and didnt feel pushed to try to see everything in just a few days, I would definitely stay here again.

We did the Character breakfast. We saw Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Stitch, and Minnie Mouse. They were all very friendly, and my kids enjoyed the beach-themed dance party (every 15-20mins). The all you care to eat buffet was standard: eggs, bacon, sausage, Mickey waffles/pancakes, oatmeal, biscuits and sausage gravy, omelet station, and a soft serve ice cream bar. There was also a yummy Mexican dish I dont remember the name of. It was all yummy! It was worth the price to not have to wait in line to see so many characters (as 2 of my children are under 3 = free!) and to get to interact with them several times adding up to a lot of minutes.Overall: definitely do this once! Maybe a different restaurant is more your style (the different ones have different characters/food), but still amazing!

The walk to the Parks from this hotel was not too bad, it was not too long even when you need to get through the Security Checkpoint which is thorough but doesnt take so much time, then get entertained as you pass by Downtown Disney District. Recently stayed at Disneys Paradise Pier Hotel room 642. The cost including taxes & fees was approximately $450 per night plus $50 parking per day. The room was somewhat dated but clean nothing special, what you would expect for a $150 per night room not $500! My really problem was the shower. The temperature would very from very hot to very cold on a 40 second cycle continuously. One of the worst showers I have ever had at a hotel. So I told the front desk about the problem and said that they could move me to a different room if they wanted to. Their response was no move they would have maintenance repair the problem. So later that evening I checked with the front desk to see if the shower had been repaired. They indicated that the shower had been repaired. Great, only problem the shower was not repaired. The same cycling of temperature the next morning, my day of departure. I could tell that maintenance had worked on the control valve because I had to push hard on it to get the water to shutoff completely. No more Disneyland Hotels.

Our daughter who was 7 passed away in Jan 2019. We took a trip to Disney World in May and had a less than stellar experience. Disney offered me to return to Disney World and I declined and asked for Disney Land. I was given three nights in the Paradise Pier hotel and 3 days at the park. I shared w the hotel our tragedy and they were extremely empathetic toward my family. This hotel has been the greatest experience we have ever had in our lives. Our remaining daughters birthday was over the moon magical we came into our room and their was a basket w Disney Frozen dolls, Olaf and candy she was so amazed. We had a character dinner w Goofy and it was out of this world fun. On our final night a knock at our door was yet another surprise a huge Sunday for the three of us so we leave on a sweet note. This is not the first hotel you think of when it comes to a Disneyland stay, but in my opinion, it is officially the best. Where the Disneyland hotel has the name and some amazing amenities, and the Grand Californian has the walk into the park, the Paradise Pier Hotel is truly the most magical. Just around the corner from Downtown Disney and a short walk into the parks, its great for families and the magic of a view while still being a more affordable option of the three. The view of the park is absolutely worth the little extra money in my opinion, because it makes you feel like you never left. Thats especially important if youre visiting in the off season, when hours are shorter and refurbishments are ongoing. Same goes for the extra magic hour-- extremely valuable to get that every day youre going to the parks, and you can only get it by staying at a Disneyland resort hotel. (My advice: plan your trip so that you have more extra magic hours at DCA; they rotate days of which parks do it, and the one in California Adventure gives you access to far more rides). And at the end of the day, you get to enjoy downtown Disney and all its aspects as you head back to your hotel or grab some food. I didnt have to move my car from the parking garage for five days while I was there, which means no awkward shuttles with multiple stops, no parking garage nightmares with an additional $25 charge to park per day, no trams with long waits, plus all the extra Disney magic of being able to stay Disney and explore the resorts.Five stars, Disney. Five stars.

The staff were always pleasant and helpful. While the hotel is on Disneyland property, its a bit of a walk to the parks. Id say about 10-15 minutes. This wasnt too bad, but after 3 days of the park, it was a bit much for my feet. There is a shortcut to the if you are leaving the parks. Make a left after the Sephora in downtown Disney. Walk through the Grand Californian hotel and go out the front. Just cross the street and you are back at the hotel. This shorcut is designed to only work one way as there is a gate that requires a hotel key, but somebody let us in. YMMV.Id definitely recommend this hotel in the future.

The hotel is clean and was smoke free during my stay. The staff was friendly and outgoing, especially when providing my family with answers to questions and a birthday button at the reception desk. The decor in the room was themed to the hotel, however I did notice a bit of wear on the furniture and also the bed linen (throw) did have huge stain on it. I enjoyed the hotel but they could use a bit of attention to the cleanliness of the linens before handing rooms to guests and replace damaged furniture for the cost of the rooms. The wallpaper was also coming off the wall that had the Donald duck picture on it. Minor details but they should reflect the costly room if this is their moderate hotel of the three on property owned by Disney.

Best part of staying at this hotel is magic hours to both parks. If you value that extra hour then it helps to justify this hotel if you dont pay anywhere close to full price. The house keeping missed cleaning up garbage on the floor in our room 3 days in a row. The first day we visited the flavoured water station was missing so we couldn’t fill our water bottles. We stayed with a premium park view but only the 8th floor so you really could not see the world of colour so that was a waste. On the positive I have never felt so safe in the pool there we’re always way to many life guards on duty. Overall, If you really value the magic hours then give this place a second look, just know going in it’s a pretty standard hotel without much Disney feel or perks. Previously we have stayed a Camelot inns across from the parks and it’s about the same quality and distance to parks but with a free breakfast. The character breakfast here was your standard buffet but way over priced ($46 per adult, $22 per kid, $35 for your Donald picture).

This is the cheaper option of the three Disney Hotels but it doesnt mean this place is cheap. Only a 5 minute walk to Downtown Disney, great rooftop pool/bar and spectacular views of the Fireworks and Water shows. A great stay!

There were a few minor problems, the room was very nice! It has a nice store And some great restaurants. The best part of staying there is the pool area. From the pool area you can watch the fireworks at Disneyland!

I t was true to form with the Disney excellence. Nice pool and food/drink options. Very efficient elevator system.

Four elevators in lobby and yet with the touchscreen system you end up having to wait longer to get to your floor than with the older system of getting on elevator and pushing button inside elevator. Hotel needs some updating, it is starting to show wear. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I reserved and paid for a premium view room. I arrived at 10am and was told that I was downgraded to a standard room and charged accordingly so I asked if I could check in early, was told no. When I questioned why I couldn’t get the room I wanted or check in early when I was there so early, they quickly backtracked gave me a”premium room” but it was a handicapped room. If they needed the room for a handicap person, they should have told me and offered me early check in. The decor is old, they have these cloth “beach balls” they put on the bed that are dirty and old. It just wasn’t worth the money I paid.

Its ok. Expected a bit more for what you pay. Anywhere else you go and you spend that much you would be treated like royalty. Not at Disneyland.

Some of the staff were excellent while others were not - I had an issue and had to call a couple different people to finally find someone who could help me - I know everyone was under a lot of stress because the park was closing and so was the hotel but the staff need to remember that those of us that were staying there were away from home so we even had more issues!

Its a pretty standard hotel experience. The rooms are clean and I like the fixed shampoo bottles in the bath. Comfy beds and the views from our window (if youre facing the park) are amazing all hours! You can see a little bit of World of Color. Just an FYI, festivities go really late in the evening, like 11pm some nights, so youll be hearing music and cheering/screaming from the park. If youre a light sleeper, request a room on the other side of the building. The workers were nice, even gave us free fast passes for our anniversary (they give you buttons too) so if youre there for something special, be sure to tell them at the counter when you check in!The food at the Surfside Lounge was our only dining experience there, but it was SO good. Their breakfast is super delicious! The bacon and pancakes was a highlight! Definitely worth it!The heated pool and spa were definitely a highlight! FYI, they close really early for fireworks every evening, so dont get caught with a 15 minute dip around 7/8 pm like we did. Call the lobby first and ask when they close each day. Its silly that they close, but whatever. The location is very ideal; walking distance to Downtown Disney and the two parks. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the gates, so plan ahead. You get stopped for security on the way into DDD, and sometimes theres lines in the morning, just FYI.Its also fairly close to a few restaurants outside of the park, and a CVS where you can get hotel food and park snacks. We loaded up on cereal and milk for breakfasts at the hotel to save money. Our biggest complaint by far is the elevators. They are so confusing and slow to arrive, and sometimes they skip over your floor! Its a touch screen computer system that you can only access from the outside of the elevator, like the lobby area of every floor. So if you accidentally get on the wrong elevator and it isnt going to your floor, you have no buttons on the inside to change it. You have to get off and try again. Its ridiculous. There are 4 elevators and sometimes it takes several minutes before one of them finally opens that has the floor you chose. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel hated it. When youre trying to meet up with family or get out early for magic hour, it can make you late! This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I highly recommend the hotel management hire a software engineer who can fix the algorithm of the elevator to be more efficient. With how much Disney makes daily, this should be pennies to fix. PLEEEEAAASE fix it!!!!!!!!!Overall it was a great vacation. :)

Disney Hotels are the best and Paradise Pier does not disappoint. Great view, amenities and the extra magic hour is worth it all by itself.

The cast members (employees) were helpful, polite, gracious and went beyond the norm. Our room had a wonderful view of the Park. The handicap parking is in useful places for registration and our stay. My daughters and I were celebrating my birthday and the Paradise certainly helped is celebrate. Thank you.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Paradise Pier hotel. We stayed with the Beach Combers club level access which was an AMAZING add on for our trip. It includes free food (breakfast, snacks all day and a desert hour, wine, beer, and the friendliest staff. There was even a trivia night which was a blast. Rachelle and Donnie were two of the best and accommodating staff members who really went the extra mile. We had a blast at Disney and will definately go back. As an active duty military family, we truly appreciate the amazing discounts Disney extends to our service members, making this trip not only more affordable, but that much more special with the added amenities.

Customer service was excellent upon arrival. However hotel didn’t advise until I enquired that the fireworks were not on during our visit. Considering we booked this hotel for its rooftop view of the fireworks, we were extremely disappointed. Would have been nice to be offered something by the park or hotel as this was the only time of year we could travel across the world to visit, and knowing anytime within the 4 months prior to arriving would have been ideal. Obviously the fireworks are park related - but it was something that could have been advised (rooftop shouldn’t be advertised if there’s nothing to view). There was car rental onsite which was great. We were given two small beds when we requested one. Lifts were a bit slow. Didn’t get to the character breakfast as we preferred to beat the crowds at the parks. One magic morning is not enough considering the money we spent.

Just stopped in there for dinner while attending while attending the cheerleading Nationals in Anaheim we had a quick bite in their lounge the food was average my cousin who was with us that has allergies and could not have seasonings on her hamburger. Because shes allergic to all seasonings so what do they do they put seasoned fries on her which contaminated hamburger and her whole order had to be remade. Other than that service was good waiter was very apologetic. accidents happen Im not going to hold it against them I would try the place I can

Nice to be so close but not the top notch place it once was. It seems pool has signs that have not been painted since put up. Everything faded and worn. Beds were so squeaky but comfortable. Toilet broken on one side. Elevator assignments were challenging as it couldnt tell how many were waiting. Staff was kind but felt like the unwanted sibling of the three resort hotels.
