I loved my stay at the Disneyland hotel! The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated Disney theme. The staff went out of their way to make the whole Disney experience magical; from the Mickey mouse ricecrispy treats dipped in chocolate to advice on how to make our vacation more enjoyable. I was always greeted with a happy smile and enthusiastic help! I highly recommend to everyone who make the journey to Disneyland to stay at one of their hotels! A+ all the way!

You can just feel Walt in the walls of this building. Ive been in a lot of hotels all over the world but this one has a special feeling. The service is top-notch, the restaurants are outstanding. There is nothing else better than going to the Disneyland hotel having a drink and watching the world go by. All apart of the happiest place on earth!

We stayed here for a week vacation and it was an amazing Disney experience. The room was large and clean with several great amenities. Maid service was great every day and the view from our room was fantastic. The tiki bar in the courtyard has some great drinks and the Hawaiian burger is something you have to try.The steakhouse on property is also delicious and has very generous servings. They also do the room service which makes ordering in your room after a long day in the park worth it.Overall, the rooms are worth the money and the magic hour is a nice perk to enjoy some less hectic time in the park.

We are a Disneyland family and love it here. We have stayed at all 3 of the Disney hotels and would rate this one as #2 out of the 3.Here are our pros and cons of the Disneyland Hotel:Pros:1. Location - close to Disney Downtown and a quick walk to the parks.2. Pool - great pool area with lots of pools, a few slides, and a kiddie area (w/life jackets & lots of life guards). Lots of lounge chairs w/umbrellas. Pool side food & drink service.3. Pretty gardens - Disney details everywhere. Disney character shaped bushes, fireplace w/lounge chairs, patio dining.4. Other activities - Goofys Kitchen, hotel sponsored activities (outside movies, art activities, washcloth animals with hotel staff, etc.)Cons:1. Rooms are starting to feel a little old.

Dont get me wrong, the family had a great time, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The three stars are due to how dated the building is. It lacks some of that magical charm that other Disney locations offer. The convenience of being close to the park was worth it.

Absolutely magical. Worth every penny. I cant hype this enough. Characters greeted my sons as we unpacked the shuttle that got us to the hotel. The cast members were phenomenal!! Everything from this hotel is so convenient! Walking distance to everything, downtown disney stroller rental, beautiful pool. It was our first disney trip and we cant wait to go back! The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. The view was amazing.

This place was amazing. We stayed at the adventure land side of this hotel facing downtown Disney and it was perfect!!! We were able to see the fireworks at night without leaving the comfort of our room. The 11th floor gave us all of the snacks and beverages( including alcoholic drinks like wine and beers) we needed to keep us going in the morning and the rest of the day. All included with your stay. Ron and Dave from the check in desk were so great at accommodating us, even getting us a late checkout to not have to run back to our hotel to check out. I honestly could not recommend this place much more! Definitely coming back!!!!

Our family has gone to Disneyland quite a few times now bit this was our first time staying at the Disneyland Hotel. We will never stay anywhere else! The hotel was amazing, great pools, food, drinks. The location is the biggest perk. You are literally right next to Downtown Disney where you can just take the Monorail right into the park. Our room had a massive wood carved headboard that played music and twinkled with stars and fireworks. Magical.

We stayed in the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite on the top floor and enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and had a view of the fireworks. The two bedroom suite has three complete baths and the bedrooms are private and separate from the main living areas. Very much a pirates theme, but not overdone. There is a view of the pool, and this is the closest tower in this resort to the theme parks. Robes, slippers, and toiletries included. There is a steam room in the master shower as well as jacuzzi. As nice as this was, we prefer to stay at the new California Grand that has better access to the theme parks, is more updated, and offers better amenities, but also harder to get reservations.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in the Fantasy Land Tower. The rooms were great. Big, clean, with beautiful furnishings. The beds were comfortable. The headboards were fun. They light up and play A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes when you turn it on. Really cute. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful but the characters roaming the lobby were the highlight of our stay. Chip grabbed my sisters hand and pulled her over to a video game table and played a matching game with her while we checked in. Goofy joined them a little bit later. My sister is 27... Lol! She was so impressed by that interaction, she made it her goal to purchase a little Chip stuffed animal as a reminder of the fun time they had. The location of our hotel to Downtown Disney was great. We ate breakfast at the Earl of Sandwich almost everyday due to the yummy, affordable food and the closeness of it to our hotel. I would definitely suggest you stay here. Also, its just a short walk to the monorail station which made getting to and from Disneyland much easier.

The pools are amazing. However, the dont have food service at the pool. You have to go to the bar area to order food and then you can bring it down to the pool. You are also able to do a mobile order as well. A pro: being able to see the characters walking around the hotel. A con: the hotel is super pricey, for what you pay, I would have expected more amenities. At check in, our room wasnt ready by the 3pm promised time. This was especially challenging with a tired toddler. We had to wait almost an hour for our room, hotel staff was not very helpful or friendly during this time.

The location convenience, magical details, option to charge everything on room key (even at the Parks / Downtown Disney), and Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel is worth your money alone. The staff is helpful and friendly (in fact, they seemed more upbeat than several park cast members this trip). The Frontier Tower was clean and maintained, but there wasn’t a whole lot of “magic” upon entering the building. The room was quaint, and my two year old loved waking up to the “fireworks” headboard. It did sound a bit off and was incredibly loud, but it was a lovely touch to the atmosphere. Room Pros: separate sink area from shower / bath and toilet, comfy beds and pillows, robes, refrigerator, plenty of space, cute little Mickey details, fantastic housekeeping service. Room Cons: no microwave (only upon request, which I imagine has a price), scratchy towels, needs paint update, limited and expensive room service options. I have stayed at other neighboring hotels, but nothing beats on property when you have a little one with you. Is it worth the price? I struggle to answer this because yes in some ways and no for other reasons. I could have spent half the price (and free parking) if I had stayed at The Howard Johnson Hotel, which I stayed at last trip, and they are conveniently located, offer a cool water park, and have newly updated rooms in Building 1. Bottom Line: if you have the money, pay extra for the better view, and just do Disney in style if it’s a BIG Disney trip!

Heres some photos of Goofys Kitchen character brunch on a weekend. Food was excellent, but the characters were coming around every 5 minutes for our 90 minute stay for brunch! Our family was greeted so often our food was cold because we were having so much fun interacting with the characters and playing with them. Some people will be turned off by the price, but the character interaction was well worth the price because it was ongoing and the boys loved it. It was definitely a trip to remember!

I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel to attend a conference there. I didnt have an opportunity to attend either of the two theme parks this time but I very much enjoyed the hotel and Downtown Disney. I loved the special headboards on the bed. With a press of a button on the lamp on the night table, little lights shine and twinkle across the headboard. and illuminated a Disneyland scene, complete with a fireworks display. There was some renovation going on but the grounds were very attractive. The staff too was wonderful. They were always friendly and accommodating. Compared to Disney World, Disneyland is much small and less variety, but I have to say that the closeness of everything Disneyland was a nice change.

Staying at this property is definitely provides benefits as it is a pedestrian resort and you (and your kids) can definitely walk to the park entrances. My kids are 5 and 8 and it was easy enough that they could walk back from a busy day at the park. As always, Disneyland and the Disneyland hotel do not disappoint! Planning hospitality first, a little back story, my wife and I were married back in October 2017 here at the Disneyland hotel. And we love coming to the park at least 1 every three months or so. Well we always check the little liquor store they have and we always check for bottles of wine that have our year we were married there and no luck. But we went this past weekend and the cast member that happened to be working on Saturday 2/29/2020 found one for us! Sometimes something so small can mean the biggest thing. This was perfect for us as it took us almost 2.5 years to find it. I would strongly recommend visiting the Disneyland hotel even if you are there just to look around. You can find lots of hidden treasures around the hotel!

Its really nice. As it has been remodeled more times than I know, good changes are made. Professional staff, always. Themed rooms. A bar in the midst of it that keeps a family oriented theme. A double of Kentucky bourbon helps the Disney coolaid go down. Close enough to the park for walking in and out. For cost conscious folks, this is a very nice yet better price than other offerings on the resort property. Guest Laundy requires credit/debit card use on a Change Point machine. Want a secret? Stay home. Make your castle your home. May the LORD bless you and keep you.

Great location if you plan on visiting Disneyland and California Adventures, especially with small children that may need a nap. Guests staying in the hotel have access to the magic hour at the park, which allows you to go in 1 hour before it is open to the public. Magic hours vary on days (either Disneyland or California Adventures). The Fantasy Tower rooms facing the entrance of the hotel allow fireworks viewing at night (channel 16 for the music that accompanies the fireworks). We took a family vacation just before Christmas 19 and spent 4 days + 3 nights in the Frontier Tower. This was our first time staying at Disney, and while there were some minor dings, the total experience was amazing. The hotel property was clean and manicured down to the last detail. Plenty of pools and a few water slides central on the hotel grounds if its your thing. Theres also a cool outdoor tiki bar and grill that Id highly suggest checking out later at night, as there was a live acoustic band when we were there. You know you want to sing some Moana. The staff were also exceptional, from the front desk to housekeeping and room service - saints each and every one. The only dings as I mentioned were minor: one being the room was a little outdated; second, the hallways felt like meat lockers. However these dont really detract from the experience as a whole - we loved it and cant wait to go back!PS: Make reservations to Goofys Kitchen if you have kiddos. Its on the hotel grounds, but its packed and for good reason - cant go wrong with a character meet and greet plus a decent buffet. You can also order burgers from Steakhouse 55 directly from room service and skip needing to make dine-in reservations 90 days in advance!

Adventure tower December 20, 2019 room 2052. It was a great view of the pool plenty of activities to do. The pool and Jacuzzi areas are super fun and relaxing. Life guards on duty til pool closes at 8pm so no need to constantly worry if kids drown while taking a dip or conversing with company.

This is by far my favourite of the 3 onsite hotels. We stay club level and the concierge staff is wonderful. There is a very intimate feel to this hotel that you do not get at the Grand Californian. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. However, we have noticed over the past 5 years, some have become quite worn. Definitely not indicative of the price one pays for a room. However, location and pool are top notch. We always dine at Steakhouse 55, which is lovely. My top choice of the 3 hotels.

I have been staying at the Disneyland Hotel for over 35 years. I have never had a bad experience with anything. Everything from the moment I arrive has always been perfect! I would never stay anywhere else!

Definitely NOT worth the price. The hotel is over 50 years old, and you can tell. Outdated decor, but some with nostalgia here and there. We were surprised that there was NO microwave in our room! Coffee shop on site has terrible coffee, and yuck muffins. Staff is super nice on property though. We were VERY impressed with the many lifeguards watching all the pools, never taking their eyes off the kiddos! You are paying for the convenience of being able to walk through downtown Disney to get to the parks. We definitely will NOT stay here again. Same nearby hotels for half or less than half the price as the Disney hotel.
