This is a great place to escape into the woods, get off the pavement onto the pea gravel trails (foot traffic only), and stand on the edge overlooking the stream. Features some nice, old trees--even pecan trees. Recommended.
So many mosquito it was had to enjoy. If this had not been an issue, we would have greatly enjoyed the trails.
One more cool area for me to explore in Plano!
Within reach of subdivision homes; comfortable walking trails, access to Nature Conservation Park which has turtle ponds, quiet and longer walking trails. Great for a short half-mile walk or 5-6 miles. Access to public restrooms and water services only missing items
This is a great little piece of nature, right inside city limits. Its a wonderful place to take the kids when they need to run off some energy. Its a system of dirt trails that enter off a paved trail, so there isnt easy parking. There are some plaques around that offer nature facts. As the park is about preserving nature, it has no restrooms, and nothing with wheels is allowed inside the park. One side of the park borders the creek, which is particularly fun to see after a big rain.Remember to wear bug repellant, and be prepared for mud. Also, watch for snakes in season. Theyll mostly stay away from you, but try not to make them feel threatened.
A great place for a quick walk which is close to nature as well as civilization... Be mindful of the wildlife and dont litter.. We love to go there with our toddler
I didnt care for the area for a couple reasons. One being its not as big as I thought itd be. The other, being that its another park area for the homes that surround it. Theres absolutely no parking. We parked on a street at the middle entrance; which runs along someones home and then carries you down behind.... its a stone path and then sidewalk that runs left to right... from one side of neighborhood to another... and then theres a nice big sign area and dirt path that leads to trails in the small wooded area. Theres a view of a creek alongside the back of the trails, but its limited. Theres no real access to the creek.... and the trails are really just a couple small loops. There were 2 geocache to find...
I was really impressed by this place. I like the fact that its surrounded by water and that its got a granite Trail instead of a cement paved trail. It seems very peaceful and quiet. You cant hear the cars from the trail. The only thing I didnt like is that it was a short Trail. If they had something just like it there was a lot longer that would have been fantastic.
Great main trail plus trails into the woods. Many informative markers. Lots of shade and many large trees that add to the look of a forest.
A beautiful wooded trail amidst the middle the city hum-drum. The loops are short but can be done several times over if required. The Rowlett Creek dances along the trail and area is serene. This trail calls me over and over again and I see myself wandering in these woods every now and then. Plan to take my camping chair next to.e and a flask of coffee and sit by the creekside and be with birds and squirrels for a couple of hours. ️
Trails well groomed, shady
It is a lovely shaded trail.
Awesome park. It’s a nice 1 mile waking park with fully covered trees. Feels like you are in the forest.
Nice walking trail goes to a small park.
Rly nice
Tranquility. Saw a beautiful coyote crossing the street too. They are getting bigger compared to a few years ago!
Loved the trails they have. The kids also loved it.
This is a really nice nature area for jogging. Even when it is hot, the trail is in the shade thanks to all the trees. The trail also has access to Connemara Meadow Preserve if you follow it across the street, east of Alma.
Well kept up and easy walking on cement. Very peaceful but strange parking in a sub. Fun
Great walk!! Just hope dog owners were more responsible and clean after their dogs
Fun trails that have interesting information posts about the area along the trails. Quiet and peaceful.
Good place and good food.
Very good trail in Suncreek neighborhood.
Beautiful trail tucked away in a residential area.
Beautiful shaded trail. Lovely views. Real mature.
Lots of construction. Looks like theyre building up a neighborhood where the trail used to be. Bummer
Keep your dig on a leash. Saw three copperheads on thr trail.
