There are plenty of life guards, and they do pay attention. There is a lazy river which is a lot of fun, an adults only hot tub, which is a nice retreat that allows adults to see the entire pool and keep track of their children, and a water slide that is properly managed for safety. I recommend this indoor water park. There is a family dressing room, plenty of showers in the main locker room, and is a nice family activity.

This facility has a leisure and competition pool along with a larger and smaller childrens slides. There is also a modest, but sufficient number of workout machines and classes.

I have been taking my kids here for swimming lessons. This is the only swimming center for kids in Allen. It is nicely maintained, instructors are very friendly. Lot of Asian parents get their kids here for swimming lessons.They also have gym and membership rates for Allen residents are pretty comparable to ones form near by Cities. I like the place, haven had any issue here.Would definitely recommend it to all my friends in Allen.

This place was great. Such a great family environment. I was actually comfortable with the kids doing their thing without stressing. There are multiple lifeguards that really keep a eye on things. We had such a wonderful time and for the price we can go back often.

Why we gotta pay to go on a rock wall. And this place is kinda of ageist i was tryna use the kids boogie board on the lazy river but they took it from me. And coach wilbanks said im too young to to use the weights and i dont know how i feel abt that

The price is right, but the water is much colder than we thought it would be. Its a little warmer in the Lazy River than it is in the tiny-tots section; our babies actually got out of the water after only about 3 to 5 minutes. Thank goodness Grandma came along and was able to watch them while the older kids continued swim. The jacuzzi is fantastic and the lazy river is really fun, but the water is just a little too chilly. Its a great place to go in the Winter when you want to swim, but you wont be in it as long as you think.

Front desk could be more friendly or they can go BOH so they dont have to deal with customers or residents the old African American lady was rude I got some information wrong but she was not nice at all since we walk in with my kids and nieces she gave us a look .

Good experience, we went here to complete our BSA swim test with our Crew life guard. The place was clean and life guards were clearly on point and making sure that there wasnt any horseplay. Only complaint is that we were using two lanes, one to let people warm up and another for the one who was testing and they told us we had to go down to one even though the pool was mostly empty. If it were busy we wouldnt have even considered using two lanes but given that there were 4 other lanes totally open we felt it was a bit annoying to be forced into one.

Wonderful pools, water heated in winter, good clean facility, friendly helpful staff and lifeguards.

Nice facility. No air conditioning, no scoreboard working, poor sound system. Why do they charge to see your children compete in these conditions? Very poorly run.

The staff was friendly. There was enough lifeguards. Fee is very affordable. Pool was clean and fun for any age groups

I bet some one peed in the pool. Nasty. Next, the diving board is very fun, and same for the slide. But the shower was very bad.

The Rodenbaugh works well for a visit or getting a membership to swim or work out more often. They also offer classes and have a nice indoor water slide. The lap pool always keeps two lanes open for the public and at less busy times you can choose from at least 6. Kids enjoy the large pool with play equipment and smaller slides and have fun in the lazy river.

Its hard to breath in the pool area because of the overwhelming strong chemical smell. Otherwise it was fun.

The pool is awesome, the hot tub is ok, it would be better with harder jets and more jets at different locations high and low. The walking pool is nice goes round and round, gives you a great work out. The kid area is a lot of fun, love the slide. It has a pretty nice work out room, but the showers ugh could be much better specially for handicapped people.

Great place to bring your kids

Its a nice facility. Seems to be maintained well. I was only in the natatorium as we were there for HS swim meet. Its great that they have a large area of seating stands for such an event.

Both my kids learnt life saving skills here and one of them even went on to become an instructor. That builds confidence and the sense of giving back to the community.

I brought my daughter here for a birthday party. It is fabulous! Incredible indoor water park. Very safe because there are lifeguards everywhere focused on their jobs with all the kids everywhere. They kept kids from running or doing things they shouldnt. Theres a giant water slide, a type of water jungle gym that dumps water every few minutes, a lazy river, a spa, and on the other side an actual racing pool with lanes and a diving board. Incredible place. There are also party rooms and everything. I dont live close to Allen but I would definitely love to come back here for a party or something if my kids wanted to have one there.

Fun place to bring the kids

This indoor pool is phenomenal! I went with my 5, 3 and 1.5 year old children and we all had a blast! They provide life vests for small bodies, so each of them were protected. It was just me with them at first, which is acceptable, but if there are 4 children under 7 you must have a second adult. The bathrooms are nearby, theres picnic tables right outside the back doors so you can bring a picnic and enjoy food during any breaks you want to take. Theres a kid area with multiple slides, a dump bucket, ands a tree type structure with water falling continually. The lazy river is very relaxing as well, and I was able to handle all 3 of my children in it with vests! Diving board and lanes as well.

The swimming pool for the kids was awesome - kids of all ages that were with us were able to enjoy it and adults were able to relax in the hot tub.

Its Good, my First time was really Fun but 3 hours later we have to get out of pool because someone pooped in it !!!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Very dirty facility. Incorrect operational hours. They say 5-9 for a normal weekly day but take 45-1hour for the poor to actually open. That being said if you get here at 5 expecting to swim for 30 mins then drive home @530-545 expect to be out of here around 630. The unmotivated personnel at the front desk told me the hours were 5-9 before I paid telling me I could begin my swim @5. Glad I only bought a few month pass. Also when you do come during inconvenient op hours 9/10 times the lanes are gonna be full because of classes. For some reason the private swim class thinks it needs 85% of the pool and forces the rest of us into 1-2 lanes. And this is most of the time, so your stuck waiting anywhere from 15-45 minutes for half of a lane to open up that 4 people are using. Very happy I did not purchase a membership here, would not recommend to anyone that has a tight schedule and isint willing to spend up to an extra hour waiting for little to no reason.......Will be visiting apex soon

If you dont mind HUGE, very loud crowds it may not bother you. The swimming facilities are actually nice but almost unusable. Rarely any free lanes to swim in, they seem to always have the lanes blocked off for some swim class or the high school. Since I work during the day I cant say if its crowded at lunch but before work and after work its always packed.

Great workout room upstairs overlooking the pool area, leisure pool with kids space, a large lap pool, a hot tub and party rooms, showers and locker rooms. There is even a climbing wall. Very reasonable prices. It is also well-kept.

Great kid area with 3 different slides, dancing fountains, and a raining palm tree. For bigger kids there is 4ft water area with a lazy River and big slide. On other side in different pool theres a diving board and swim lanes. There is also exercise equipment on the 2nd story. Only reason not 5 stars is due to the kids side not opening until 1pm (mornings would be easier for me).

It smells of Chlorine so much that you will feel dizzy and want to go out and breathe, swim lessons are cheaper than any other place. I was not motivated to take their membership for the gym for the prices,facilities and the maintenance.

This place is great, you can relax, and have a great workout, and the pool area is magnificent.

My daughter and I try to get out to this awesome pool/indoor water park at least once a week. She loves going down the big slide, which she just hit the height requirement for, and I love the adult only hot tub in the middle of all the action, so you can soak your tired mommy muscles yet keep an eye on the kiddos! Its awesome!

Was checking out the website this week, notice the pool been closed this week. Today Thurs 10/11/1/8 the notice was removed so I drove all the way over just to find out it is STILL CLOSED for repairs! No notice went out! Keep in mind the facilities was closed for a week in SEPT too. I hate that I pay monthly for the use of the pool and NOT refunded any money or extended an extra week for issues like this! If you were to show up an pay for a day use the pool, they would not take your money if the facility is closed, why should they take mine!

Last month they closed the facility for repairs but all I noticed is patch work to disguise missing tiles, and does not appear that much was done. This week the pool is closed again for repairs. The pool looked like it really needs to be resurfaced, the bottom of the pool and hot tub seats are rough and gritty. The hot tub seats sometimes snag you swim suits. Sometimes you can see a ring of dirt on the tile and little dirt on the bottom of the pool. The womans changing rooms are challenging, not enough showers and they seem dingy. I bring flip flops to wear in the shower. They have a shower/changing section for families with children but in the summer they overflow into the womens area so it makes it difficult to shower or change so beware!

Really fun pool for kids. There is a few lap Lanes available for adults. Saturday was very crowded for open swim. Very nice facilitate to change and get ready though.

Great place for kids and fun but the hours are unfair two working parents. Because 9:00 -5:00 working schedule It Dont Fit to work for us by the time we get here they close 6 p.m. so hopefully they fix this so we can be able to take our kids the fun they deserve to have like any other kids thank you.

Amazing facility

The supervisor, Stephen T. Nagy was very, very understanding when I misunderstood the policies on cancelling the membership. He waved the fee I had received, and I got excellent service. When I went to the gym it was always clean and organized, and the staff always friendly.

You can go in moring with pass to be told to move for swim classes. They are rude about it. Some of us cant trad water to hear you yelling at us about it give us time to move. Geez.

Very poor ventilation for the pool area to suck out chlorine fumes. Definitely a safety hazard. The pool lifeguards need new floats. They are ripped with duct tape on them. Definitely would not pass inspection and would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I work out and swim 4 days a week at the Allen Natatorium. It is an excellent facility. The staff is helpful and nice. The work out facility has all that I need to stay fit and I love the pools!

We hosted our daughters 8th birthday party at this facility. I booked our party after searching online (Id only been there once, many years ago), so I had to make several calls with questions throughout the process. Every single staffperson who handled my calls was kind, thorough, and very helpful. The front desk staff were equally kind and courteous to us during the entire time we were there (about 4 hours). The party room exceeded our expectations of its size, counter space, and proximity to the pool, and our guests complimented us on choosing this pool for the party. It was great not having to worry about the kids because I could see the pool from the room, and I knew the lifeguards were posted around the pool, too. The kids had so much fun that my daughter actually received a thank you note from one of her guests for being invited to this pool party!♡ As we had a very small budget to host a party at all, we especially appreciated the fact that parents did not have to be charged just to stay and watch if they opted not to swim. To find an indoor pool with such favorable fees and policies - including not being restricted to just 2 hours or so of swim time - was a huge blessing for us!! I just cant say enough about how great this facility was for our daughters party, and I would absolutely recommend it to friends!!

Agreed, the chlorine smell was strong. My first time, also first time on a rock wall, that said, it was a good place to try it out and see if climbing is something to check out at a bigger place. 5 climbs for $5, no time limit.

A very nice and well maintained pool

I remember when I was little, the first year of using this place was fun. But as the other reviewers mentioned, the chlorine is overpowering. To the point that you would think the pools were filled with bleach. The play structure for the kids around the base is bleached.Im a cub scout helper and we visited a couple months ago so the boys could earn their swimming patch. I opted out of actually getting in the water (bleach). It didnt matter. The next 3 days I was smelling it and feeling the burn.But I guess they have to keep things sanitary.
