Immersive rooms with fun puzzles. The props and sets are amazing. Rooms are on the smaller side but they flow really nicely. I did three rooms and they were all family friendly. Evan was a great game master and host. Definitely recommend ️️

Compared to many other escape rooms across the country, Escape Quest was one of the most well decorated and designed rooms. The lobby itself is really well decorated and there are actual professionally done videos and signs, instead of the usual white marker board and self drawn signs. However, I’ve given four stars because the room we did (black widow) had many loosely tied together clues and puzzles that didn’t seem very logical at times.

We always have a great time at this escape room location.We’ve played all of the rooms and they each have different and fun aspects to them. The game rooms are well thought out, feature a variety of styles (locks, magnets, pressure release, etc), and have thematic decor that matches the theme.The rooms are clean, maintained and the staff is fun to interact with.We are experienced players and have played all over the globe.

We played the room Pitfall. The room was well decorated & immersive. The puzzles had a good balance of easy & challenging ones. The owner was very friendly and welcoming!

We brought our staff of 10 and had an amazing team building experience in the Bunker room. It was tough and required all hands on deck, and we thankfully escaped with 8 minutes to spare!! The booking of the event and logistics were well done, the representative was attentive and helpful and made for an overall GREAT experience! We want to go back and try more!! Definitely recommend this!!!

In a time of COVID...what an amazing experience.i have done escape rooms before and this was the first time with my family. Well organized, clever clues,and challenging with some fun jump scare moments. I recommend you try this immediately. We will be back.

I really enjoyed the themes and decoration of these rooms. The puzzle we did was medium-difficulty for an enthusiast/veteran group like us so we got out relatively quickly but there were a couple challenging parts. Overall it was a little easier than expected but otherwise a very good room. I would take newer players here and feel comfortable that it would be a great experience.

First off I would like to thank the staff and the owner! They were awesome and really work to give you the best experience. My favorite room of the currently opened 4 was the Kings Ransom. I am an avid escape room addict and liked the different physical puzzles in that room. My lease favorite room was probably the Black Widow room. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because they have physical space limitations due to the down town Alexandria area foot print they are in. I am super excited to getting back to the area when they open their new location in MD!

The inside of the building is really nice and has a uppscale mysterious vibe at the front desk. They have hand sanitizer and masks for you. I felt safe and comfortable.We really enjoyed the room and was able to solve it. The only thing I dislike was solving a combination lock and opening it to be another one inside..a bit of not creative or lazy. Wish it could be an item that you need to use for XYZ.Overall, we enjoyed the room and would come back to try the other ones!

One of the best birthdays Ive ever had!! The rooms are so well done and exciting down to every detail! Loved the story lines and the staff was very personable and inviting. We had Mike and Craig, who were really awesome (and funny!) Elegant and clean, relaxing waiting area. So much fun, I cant wait to go back!!!

Had a blast here! First of all, I accidentally reserved our spots without putting in the 25% coupon code in that theyd had on their website. Hudson (spoke via the live chat on their website) was able to take that 25% off for me. Thank you!! In addition, all of the staff at the location that we spoke to directly were kind, funny, patient, and relaxed, lending itself to a nice environment.We booked the Black Widow room (though they all looked fun) and it was a little different than other escape rooms wed done, but in a great way. We were used to running around and finding props used for clues, which is exciting but kind of removes some of the immersion at times. The way this room was designed was more about solving puzzles, which I loved! Theres a fun surprise that none of us expected. Overall, wed love to come back again and probably will!!

As a first timer I must say this by far exceeded my expectations as well as that of my husband who accompanied me in the lost temple adventure. Everyone should try this and it is well worth the money & time! Not expensive nor boring or easy but the perfect amount of mystery, fun & excitement. We will be going back for the black widow as soon as possible.

First of all I went to say thank you for the most wonderful experience we had there. We went to one of them down in Fredericksburg and it was to easy this one really gave us a challenge. The staff there was amazing. Will be returning soon to do another room

WARNING: The difficulties listed on the website may not be accurate. We picked the easiest room which turned out to be the second hardest (The Bunker).The staff was super friendly, our host had a great sense of humor, and when he saw how bad we were struggling, he was mind enough to give us extra clues. With his help we were able to solve the room with a whopping 6 minutes left in our hour. I highly recommend this place if youre a fan of challenging your mind!

Had the pleasure of trying out the new Expedition Unknown room in their new Bethesda location, and this game does not disappoint! As an escape room enthusiast that has done over 100 rooms, I can honestly say this is one of the best in the area! The puzzles are thought out and very creative, and the room was decorated spectacularly. You can tell how much time and effort the owners put into creating this room and making sure that it is the best it can be. We will definitely be back to try the upcoming rooms!

The location had great decor and really set the mood well. Lots of comfy couches to wait on, interesting pictures to admire, some board games, clean bathrooms. And, most important, staff was awesome!They were friendly, informative, didnt waste time giving a boring speech when covering the rules, but definately communicated them clearly.They were definitely enthusiastic about the job and really made me feel like I was about to have a great experience. Which we did!

Seven of us did the Black Widow room, and had a lot of fun. Its the hardest of all the rooms so we did need a couple of clues. This is my fourth escape room and Id say I had the most fun with this one because there was a cool, unexpected element to the room. I loved the design of the room and attention to detail. Overall, Escape Quest is decorated nicely and ambiance is kind of dark., which just added to the grimness of the being there to do a Black Widow escape room. Overall, Id recommended this place.

Went there as a walk in couple. We went to the 7/10 difficulty room. It was fun and really tough.When Mariah, the lady working there, told us that it is a family business, we were shocked because of how talented and well thoughtful the owners and staff members are.Will come there later for sure. I am waiting for another difficulty level room to come.

We took our family of 4 and had a room to ourselves. We barely made it out alive! We cant wait to go back and try a different room.

This was my first escape room, so no real basis for comparison. We had a small group and the difficulty was greater than I expected. I dont know how we would have solved the escape without clues.

I liked my experience here. The place had a good atmosphere and the rooms are great. Finishing a room though has little to no fanfare so my win felt a bit boring. But all said and done. I would recommend again.

I did the King’s ransom room with just my friend and I, and we were barely able to finish in the hour. The room did a great job making us both feel immersed and the puzzles all felt fair. Definitely the best escape room I’ve ever done!

We were a group of four adults and two children ages 5 and 10. Everyone had an amazing time trying to figure out the clues to unlock the mystery of the room. Each room has its own theme and story line, which add to the drama and intrigue of the game. We had great fun as a team!The staff at Escape Quest Alexandria were highly professional, friendly, and courteous. We were greeted by a young lady who welcomed us with a smile and went over the game rules. Next, we were led to our room, where we watched a video with details of the mystery of our room. With two minutes to spare, we figured out the mystery challenge for our room and our gamekeeper greeted us with a great smile as we escaped!All in all, this was great fun in a very welcoming environment -- this of course, is due to great organization and careful selection of staffing. I highly recommend Escape Room Alexandria!

I have done several escape rooms and this was the cleanest most organized one I have been too. Everyone left feeling a good time had and we would definitely return. So many more options/stories to try.

We had a fantastic time. We had 4 adults and 2 kids ( 9 and 11). We did The Captain’s Quarters for 6 people. The kids were able to participate and was challenging for the adults as well. We only had to ask for help twice but once it was just not pulling hard enough on one of the locks. We had a blast and the staff was very nice and helpful.

Great experience for first timers. The staff was amazing, they were informative from the start of calling getting information about the facility to walking in the facility. I called 3 separate times (only because I am so undecisive) spoke to 3 different representatives who all explained in detail what to expect and what the room entails by phone to also mention kids are invited into the facility if the entire room is booked really helped me make my choice. Nevertheless, walking in and being greeted by such a welcoming staff was very inviting. The escape room chosen was based on the knowledge from the staff members and how it would benefit our family from ages 4 to 65, not to mention a birthday surprise for my mother-in-law, it was a great choice! The facility was clean, spacious, smelled great and decorated beautifully. The room chosen was decorated strategically to fit the event which brought out the anxiousness of wanting the challenge. The room was very fun, interactive, yet challenging (King Ransom). It allowed the youngest players to the oldest an opportunity to engage and interact in the activity while collaborating successfully. Because of the amazing critical-thinkers in the room, we completed the task and saved the King!!!!!!! The staff was just as excited as we were when we won the challenge, that made it even more special. Thanks for an awesome experience Escape Quest Alexandria, we will be back FOR SURE!!!

My friend and I stumbled upon this place on accident during a day trip wandering around Old Town Alexandria and Im so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and the rooms were designed in such a believable and creative way according to their themes. It really felt a step above most Escape Rooms Ive been to. The building as a whole is really cool looking and the puzzles were fun. I cant recommend the place enough and I definitely intend on coming back to try the other rooms!

Charged my card despite a canceled booking that was well within the full refund window for reservations. 45 days later, I have yet to receive a refund (despite several calls and a clear explanation of why I need this to be resolved). Completely unprofessional.When someone takes money from you without providing a good or service, the common term for that is theft.I absolutely wouldnt trust these people with my credit card info again.

Place is decorated really well right from the start. We did Temple and it was well designed. My group really enjoyed themselves.

This was an exceptional experience for us. This was our first time in an escape room and we had so much fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It can be a little dark so youll need the flashlight on your mobile phone to read some of the clues.

We are from AZ and have had done 30+ rooms. We did two today here and appreciate the discount for repeat customers. They have very good rooms and a good challenge but we were 2 for 2 . When we come back we will come back for another challenge.

The room I did was decorated very well but a lot of the puzzles were just simple lock combos and finding numbers hidden in the room which isnt the most exciting. Still had enough to keep it interesting. I did one of the easier rooms and Ill definitely be back for more of a challenge!

The staff here greeted us with smiles and kindness and patience. I brought 6 middle-school aged boys - who were a bit boisterous. We had to change our room selection at the last minute and Escape Quest staff was very accommodating. Highly recommend!

One of the best customer service experiences I’ve received anywhere. We were in from out of town without a reservation. We were walking by and felt like we wanted to try it out. Mo, The assistant at the front desk was super professional and friendly. When we told him we didn’t have a reservation, he spoke with his manager and they came out and allowed us to get in a room. Made a special exception for us. We were really shocked they did that and very appreciative. Hopefully they’re reading this and know that they made the last night of our anniversary weekend very special!

First experience in an escape room and teally enjoyed it. Could have used my glasses because the clues were written in very small script, otherwise it was very fun. No other escape room experience to compare to so 4 stars. May deserve 5.

Great fun - much better than I expected. Did create group interaction and fun. Lots of math clues and symbols. Once we figured out the approach, it was fairly easy.

We went to celebrate a college graduation and had fun celebrating our victory of escaping. Clues really made us think but we enjoyed working together as well as thinking out of the box. Were already planning our next visit.

Wow. I took my 13 scouts there and the experience was great. They gave us a 35% discount off the list price and allowed us to take up two rooms without putting anyone else in with us, which was really awesome. The game masters gave good hints and both the Kings Ransom and Temple themes were interesting for these middle schoolers. The adults hung out in the very comfortable lobby for an hour and relaxed and they couldnt have been nicer. I had previously gone to one in Ocean City that was about twice the price and the room there had a lot of broken pieces so it was not as nice an experience. One kid was a little scared by what they thought was creepy music, but everyone else had a blast. Parking is easy on a Sunday and easier on that end of King St in general.

Excellent adventure! Very well run--the staff was great, check-in was quick, and our session started on time (unlike a similar place weve been to). Five us did The Lost Temple and had a lot of fun working together to figure out the clues. Will definitely come back!

A really great way to spend an afternoon with tweens and teenagers. Mike was a really great host/gamemaster, who was really great about giving the kids a “little help” when they needed it. My crew of kids loved it and would go back every week.

Me and my friends loved this place! we had never been in an escape room before and ended up in their hardest room. They helped us with clues and we ended up making it out with 4 minutes to spare!

This was my first time at an escape room, and it was amazing! The staff was very friendly and relaxed (Ive heard stories about escape room employees in the past, but the Escape Quest crew is awesome!). I went with some coworkers, and our room was the Captains Quarters. The room design and props were great, and the puzzles were very well-thought-out. Challenging, but we managed to escape with seconds left! It is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. Would definitely recommend for any group outing!

My boyfriend and I did this along with two other couples, one of whom had never done this before.The hints were mediocre. The gentleman who explained the game, was focused more in his mediocre jokes, rather than explaining the game and setting expectations for those who had not attended in the past. I would not recommend this to my friends and family.

We had so much fun, it was our first time and did the hardest room but got oh so close! Cant wait to do it again. We lorth the money and great way to spend an enjoyable time with friends.

A fun experience to enjoy with a group with puzzles ranging from simple to complex. Only issue was I thought there were some areas that were not tied together well with the theme or other puzzles

The Kings ransom escape room was very fun and challenging. I wouldnt reccomend it for your first escape room due to the level of difficulty, but it definitely is worth a shot. We will be returning to try the other rooms. Its also a good idea to have at least 4 people playing. Our group was large so we were able to work together and make it out within an hour, but less people might make it frustrating.

This was my first escape room experience. I thought it was mediocre and far too expensive. For starters, the room was SO HOT. why was there no AC. We were 6 people in a very small room. Also, the room was not very interactive, a bunch of locks with combinations. Not exciting at all. When we asked for a clue they gave us clues to things we had already figured out- frustrating. Would suggest you try elsewhere

The Black Widow room was very fun and quite challenging for beginners. Although the clues were mostly standard locks, the integration of the theme was above and beyond typical lock based rooms. Although I wanted a more mechanically based room, I did not feel dissapointed. We also used a discount for 30% off at the time, putting the per person at $25.
