This center has plenty of space for exhibits and events. Great for graduation parties. Well kept property. The events held inside the auditorium and outside on the patio are always relevant to the Latino community. Beautiful displays of local art.

I came in last week to check out the museum part of things. Admission was fairly cheap and we had the entire place to ourselves. Photography of most art pieces is discouraged (as I soon found out). So allow yourself enough time to admire the artwork. As it turns out, we came in during the last week of the Cholo/a special exhibit. It was considerably large and certainly captured the essence of that particular culture. I look forward to seeing what will (hopefully)soon take its place. The rest of the NHCC was mostly inactive during our visit. However, if an admirer of symmetric architecture, the building can certainly serve as an exhibit all on its own. Definitely a place worth stopping by. Especially if you seek to learn more about a culture and identity that is so heavily ingrained in the DNA helix of the state.

This center is that best one run by the state of NM. They have over 700 events a year since the new director ( R. Avitia) took over about three years ago. We just went to see the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. The photos are from that show and the building and the Disney Performing Theater. We also attend many of the Thursday night movies and a few of the plays and operas (including Spanish zarzuelas). On top of that, they rent the place for weddings and other events. My daughters wedding reception was there and it was perfect. I hope that NM state continues to fund the place.

Nice place, nice small/intimate theater stage with good number of spectator seats, even has a balcony. The Center also has a concession area. However, if you plan to host a function with any kind of food after the event, there is not enough tables in the hallways for the visitors to sit and eat.

A friend got us started going to their annual Festival Flamenco - which we go to every year in June and has become our tradition. The show is amazing time after time. The cultural center also puts on other performances and events throughout the year. Definitely something we believe should be supported and is a great contributor to keeping culture and history alive here in Albuquerque New Mexico. Thank you!

The ushers were unprofessional, unhelpful and disrespectful of the musicians. After the performance had started for several minutes, ushers seated latecomers; ushers sauntered around during the performance; one usher actually disrupted a row of people to get to a center seat. The NM Phil should consider another venue.
