Fun little venue. We went to a youth performance show and were very impressed by the performers on the whole. Got to hear some jazz, pop, and rock music. It was only $3 to get in for a hour and a half performance. They even pay the performers a little bit, which I think is great. We plan to go again next month!

Simply the best performance venue in Albuquerque, bar none. World music, jazz, bluegrass, music classes, etc. You can find it all here!

Good place.Nice, high stage set up, plenty of seats. No alcohol served, but maybe thats a good thing.Buy a muffin.Dirt lot parking fills up fast. Dirt is not good, especially when it rains or tiny bit of snow gets mixed with the dirt, makes for muddy or messy parking. I really dont want to track the dust or mud into Outpost Performance Space. But that kind parking is OK, even if dusty - unless you get lucky and find a place on the street, usually in the residential nearby areas a couple of blocks away.Go there for the jazz.Be selective. Not a big cache of local jazz musicians performing in this part of the country,; greater Albuquerque and Santa Fe, that is. Whether theyre good musicians or not, that boils down to the same old, same old, over and over again, which does get old. However -Some of the jazz performers at The Outpost Performance Space are making a stop to play here while on their tours, as they will also be playing elsewhere in the country. Thats the particular jazz that I seek.

I love this venue. I havent been much but it captures the music scene in ABQ well with such a variety of events and concerts. I think they do exceptionally well providing quality art, showcasing both seasoned and upcoming artists, while still grasping the intimate feel of shared music. Bring a date, friend, or yourself for a special night of music, conversation, and maybe even a cookie or two.

Artist friendly, people friendly, community friendly... Its the place to be for a soulful experience!! Performances at the OUTPOST are OUTSTANDING!! It is one of New Mexicos tucked away gems. Outpost performances intimate space of world class and community soul is something you dont want to miss out on... Furthermore... with all that Albuquerque has to offer in its historic value...the Outposts appeal of classical jazz and blues is incredible!! Youve not had a full experience of Albuquerque without a contemporary and classical soulful experience in the intimate settings of the OUTPOST!!

A local, long standing performance venue in Albuquerque. Seats about 150-200 (?) In an intimate venue, chairs laid out on three sides of the stage. Nothing fancy, but all sweats are good to very good, and the sound is very good (mostly because it is small). We saw an Iraqi Oud expat zRahim AlHaj who now lives in New Mexico, along with an Iranian and Palistinian in the group. Wonderful evening of music. Highly recommend both the venue and AlHaj.

This is Albuquerques hidden gem. If you have not been to the Outpost space, you have to go...today.The Outpost space is a nonprofit performance venue that brings unique music from around the world to the Duke City. They provide inspiration to our community through educational courses and provide a breadth of musical experiences that are otherwise lacking in NM (the Lensic excepted). Also, the music is much more personal than the larger performance venues like Popejoy Hall because you can literally sit a few feet from the musicians and the Outpost is able to bring a more diverse set of musicians with much more interesting styles because they do not need to fill a huge hall.I love this place and hope it continues to thrive in Albuquerque. We need this place.
