We showed up early (around 1030 PM), and it was not busy which allowed us to get our drinks and find a place to sit. We enjoyed dancing as the crowd grew. It was a lot of fun with a great music selection. I also really appreciated the efforts the staff made to ensure the safety at that location. I routinely saw staff members walking through the crowds with flash lights and they were attentive throughout the club. Next time Im in town, I look forward to stopping by again. :)

As a new visitor to the city I wanted to find a spot to relax and have some drinks, do some dancing and enjoy my time with friends. I only been to the first floor but I had noticed a second floor with a different music playing. I liked the atmosphere and the bartenders were nice and friendly. They suggested some good drinks to my friend and they had variety of cold beer. The dancing floor is spacious and I noticed they offered services like for birthdays and etc. They also had dancing performers and they had skillful lady dancing on a cloth rope. It was something interesting and unique because I never seen that live and it was something different than a pole. It did get packed but not in a bad way and despite the busy hour the bartenders were able to serve me in a reasonable timing. The music was good. They played variety of music. Some hip hop, regatton, and some techno. The drinks were decent price. I do keep in mind its downtown prices. They are also fair with the amount of liquor in the shots. Id definitely go there again. The staff and bouncers were friendly and also gave us a description of the vibe. When I was there I did only see one argument occur but the staff were actually able to handle it in a very good and timely manner that it didnt not disturb anyone. The crowd was a mix and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time and the music. Id definitely go there again.

Went for the first time with a large group and we were all happy with our experience! Everyone was so friendly and attentive from Tim, the bouncer to Bianca and everyone else in between. Bianca helped us coordinate everything leading up to our event and even assisted throughout the night to make sure everything was meeting our expectations. We were greeted at the front by the manager (I cant remember his name) but he did a great job at making us feel welcome. The waitresses made our guest of honor feel special by making a grand entrance and constantly cleared our empty drinks and made sure everyone had what they needed. We reserved the VIP which was comfy and spacious enough for our group. My only complaint toward the venue would be that although everything went well, the prices are very high, even considering the service we received. If it wasnt for that, I would have rated 5 stars. My only other complaint is completely out of the control of the venue (not used against them in my stars rating) but we did have people who werent a part of our group helping themselves to our party favors and treats.All in all, although I am not much of a clubbing type of person, we had a blast and would return if we ever had the chance and would recommend it to others. Thank you Bianca for all of your help and going the extra mile to help me make this event special, that was very much appreciated!

The club setup is nice... when we stepped in the club atmosphere was lit... we are 35 minutes into our visit, the music selection is too sporadic not real flow from one genre to the next

Went out with my friends last Saturday night, extremely different from the first time we went when cake first opened. The cashier in the front didnt have any money to make change for a $20 so I had to go back to her several times throughout the night to get my money back. Me and my friends waited at the bar for almost 45mins with no service but watched the one female bartender serve every new face in front of her and had no clue that there was other people around the bar. When I tried speaking to a manager about the situation they basically didnt care and told us to either leave or keep waiting. We ended up leaving if your okay with people waiting almost an hour to get a simple drink and cant even enjoy a night out then you either shouldnt be a nightclub manager or get more help at the bar. Overall I feel that since cake has opened in some ways its just already gone downhill. Before I felt there was this nice dress code and sense of almost Vegas like nightclub and you had to dress a little nicer to go but no, it seems that its lost some of that appeal that was advertised when Cake first opened.

The best nightclub in Albuquerque! Bottle service is an experience that you’ll never forget! They have the best DJs and most attractive women there! The owners are friendly and accommodating, can’t recommend enough!

This club is a blast! The atmosphere is great, drinks are of high quality, and the Music selection is phenomenal. Hope was my bartender, her service was perhaps the best my friends and I have had at an ABQ club. She kept it fun and was ecstatic to be serving her customers. 10/10 would recommend and will be going back; especially on Latin nights.

Had a bad experience the first time I went. After working with their team they offered and expedited a make it right situation. I was thoroughly happy with their offer, service, and the experience. We Still ended the night at Effex tho. Whoever the woman is that took care of us when we arrived was extremely professional, nice, and definitely took her job seriously. And the bartenders upstairs were awesome too. Thanks cake! Definitely made it right.

Club was super fun!! Great atmosphere, seem like everyone was having a great time. Decor is very sensual and unlike anything Ive seen around here. The upstairs portion had its own dj which I thought was very cool.

Was nice inside. However lady working cover charge area was letting her friends and cousins friends in free. Then charged me and couple after $10.00 to get in. I called her out on it, she laughed in my face. If wasnt friends party there would left. Other posts about the discrimination was very obvious. Wont be returning anytime soon.

The floor is covered in spilled drinks; trying to dance is like flies on a strip. The bouncers are more like mean girls and let their friends cut in line and bypass the cover. This place is lame.

My friend lost her wallet and we stayed when the security guards were trying to kick everyone out. They were extremely rude and put one of us in a choke hold because we were not getting out while my friend was explaining her address and details of her wallet to bartender to get it back !! I will never come back to this place . The security guards did everything off of a “power trip” .

Cake night club was a beautiful, spacious night club. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a great night out. The music made it easy to dance and have fun!

Came back again and it was a bit different than last time. I went in and paid their cover fee but have to admit it took forever to get drinks, either hire another bartender or have better urgency, stars went from 3 to 2 because that is the service you guys offer. Get some glasses or contacts if you cant see the problem you have at this so called night club.

Waited in live for a long time. Got in and noticed it was very hotted humid in the club even on the upper level. Took 40 minutes to get a beer. Bartenders werent very nice. I will not recommend this club, Effex is a lot more fun and has nice decor. Everything in Cake felt and looked cheap. Will not go back or recommend.

Doorman told me the cover charge was $40 on a Friday night. Good luck with that.

Very disappointed. Was excited to try this place out at first. When we arrived we waited in line for a while, and mind you, this line was not long. Once we got to the front I peeked in and there was NO ONE THERE. Why were we waiting for so long? We’ll never know. On top of that they gave my boyfriend a hard time because there were draw strings on my boyfriends Volcom pants and they said they don’t allow athletic wear. Are you joking? Have you not seen joggers or even fashion now days? Meanwhile there are guys on the patio with basketball shorts and wife beater shirts?? Interesting. Also, why we paid a cover to enter an empty club is beyond my recollection. The decor and inside does seem nice but it’s also very foggy and unbelievably hot inside. It takes forever to get drinks, depending on the bartenders and the people who work there, from the security to the bartenders, are not friendly at all. Our group ended up leaving after and hour and ended the night at Effex.All in all disappointing.

Got charged $13 for a vegas bomb and almost $7 for XX. When asked for water bartender was extremely rude and didnt even help. not going back.

Its a great club, fantastic grand opening. Bar service was awful. Took 40 m to get shots, felt like the girls were choosing certain people when clearly they saw people waiting awhile. The male bartenders were less bias and served us great. Music was amazing, but its sucks when a server drops drinks on top of the head of your gf and does nothing about it. They shouldnt be walking in the middle of the dance floor if they are providing table side service. In addition, she should of conpensated for atleast a drink or something instead of walking away.

Its Albuquerque, decor was good for a night club. We got in about 11, was dead. Picked up about midnight. Dress code is disappointing, guys in shorts and tank tops flip flops, but thats what Albuquerque seems to do. Crowd was normal for down town. If you are out of town visiting just know downtown Abq is a little rough at night.The bartenders we had were pretty poor. First girl didnt want to come over to serve us, then she didnt know what they had. She didnt know they had ginger ale, and didnt know they had Seagrams; they had both. Their drinks were VERY weak. They use 1oz shot glasses that they fill 3/4 full at best. Very disappointing.Music was good, second floor was hiphop and rap, first was more EDM vegas style. Lights and ambiance was very good.Cash only to get in. But they take cards at the bar.We had higher hopes for the place, but with the perspective its Albuquerque, was was decent.

The waitresses only choose certain people. Waited forever for a drink and it wasnt even busy. The owner needs to tell them to stop being choosy and take the order of people who are waiting first. Awful experience.
