Very hard to shop at calibers, due to the fact that the staff follow you so close. I believe they racial profile. I left this behavior in south Dakota years ago. Shop at right to bear arm in Albuquerque. Better service and prices.

Cutler, busy Saturday: A tad pricey, but newer, well run range. Staff attentive, competent, and safety aware. Observed a staff member patiently introduce a 5 person newbe group/family to firearms and safety. Friend I was with rented a handgun (you have to buy their ammo), then received full credit when he purchased it. Sales staff very knowledgeable, not pushy.

Steep prices on basically all the products in the store. Firearms included. Unless you have the membership discount. Staff is decent 90% of the time. I like the freedom allowed in the range compared to the city range. However some people take this a bit far and the staff never steps in to reign them in.

Dont ever rent here. For three people to rent one lane and two boxes of the cheapest 9mm it costs over $100 in total. This is just too much, Ive been going here for a long time, and recently I took a couple of my friends who are new shooters to rent a lane and a rental 9mm handgun + ammo. For all of us, plus the lane, the rental, and the ammunition, it was well over $100. It shouldnt cost that much to go shoot some 9mm rental at an indoor range. On top of this they charge you extra fees for swapping calibers and guns, this just adds to the total price, even splitting this price between three people it was still totally unreasonable. Also, the optic on their rental MPX wasnt charged and couldnt turn on/wouldnt work, making the $20 fee just to rent the thing on top of everything else totally unreasonable if the red dot isnt even functional. The staff here is also very unfriendly and unprofessional, Ive worked many retail/customer service jobs and these guys are really unfriendly. Theres a few nice guys who work here but the majority of the staff is inhospitable and rude, they also treat everyone who walks in like a potential threat, it doesnt make for a good environment. I wont return here again, the unreasonably high prices paired with the unfriendliness of the staff has turned me off this place for good.

I stopped by the Cutler location this past week. Right when I walked in I was greated by the staff. I was in the market for a new Rifle. After browsing the rifles for a few minutes they had a 2 separate employees came up to me and asked if I wanted to hold a rifle or any questions in general. They were very helpful with helping me make a decision on purchasing an AR-15. I ended up leaving the store with a membership from a young lady that was very helpful and informative. Overall I felt very welcome and had a great experience here. Awesome customer experience.

I have absolutely ZERO experience with firearms and self-defense training. But after a frightening experience while hiking in a remote location, encountering an individual who presented a threat to me, I knew one thing: I do not want to be unprepared should a similar situation present itself in the future.I went to Calibers today not sure what to expect, and not sure what I needed to protect and defend myself in the future. Not sure whether owning and training with a gun was the right solution for me. After talking to Jordan, who was extremely attentive and helpful, I scheduled a one-hour, one-on-one training session with Daniel on the spot. And couldnt have asked for a more knowledgeable instructor or more informative session. Incredibly helpful in raising my level of mental awareness, and realizing how much more there is to learn in terms of self-defense training. Prior to simply purchasing a gun and assuming I am somehow safer or better prepared to defend myself, with no training whatsoever.I will definitely be scheduling additional classes with Calibers, prior to considering whether to purchase a firearm for personal protection or not. And I feel very positive about the prospect of training with such a knowledgeable, helpful staff of people. And making the right decisions, well-informed and properly trained, about my own self-defense and protection in the future. Whether that includes a firearm or not. Thanks, Jordan and Daniel! Really appreciate your feedback and expertise. I would highly recommend you guys to anyone just considering their own safety and self-defense training, to lay down that mental foundation and preparedness before anything else.

Ive read the negative reviews; WOW!! Ive never had anything but a great experience at Calibers. Ive been shooting there for over a year and purchased two pistols. Their gunsmith went out of his way to help me get an issue resolved with my S&W 1911 PC, which now is the best shooting .45 ACP Ive ever owned. My wife appreciates that she is treated with respect and absolutely no condescension. The sales team seems to be very female-friendly.. The folks there are always very helpful and willing to answer any question they can, and will tell you when they dont know the answer. I have, however, witnessed a few customers who come in with an I already know everything about guns and am smarter and better than you and everybody else in here attitude. Usually, the dont buy anything or even shoot. They just swagger around trying to impress themselves. As a range member, I really do hope those folks have a NEGATIVE experience so the rest of us who are interested in learning and improving our shooting skills dont get exposed to their gun macho attitude. We do appreciate the friendly atmosphere and helpful service we always receive at Calibers. Keep up the good work!

Second time at this establishment and would not recommend. Besides the prices being a bit high, all the employees are extremely rude! I would recommend finding a different place. Gave us a few lanes to shoot in and one of the employees said we were not allowed to switch lanes. As we all were trying to practice, one employee would be leaning over our shoulder and judging and threatening to kick all of us out( we are not trained and came to practice, but it was hard to do so ) if you liked being bossed around its a good place for you.

The range itself is high quality and offers 30yds (most go to 25). The shooting lanes are wider than Ive seen at other indoor ranges. The staff are friendly and helpful, not always something you see at indoor ranges. Their firearms selection is impressive and prices are reasonable.I stick to the 5 stars. Good work!

I enjoyed it alot more that the city range. I felt safe and since its been years between my last day at a range I felt comfortable without being shunned or treated disrespectful like I did at the city range. City range were a bit of a boys club in which strangers or outsiders did not feel welcomed except by the office help. At Calibers you pay more but it was worth it because of the better atmosphere. At Calibers the range officers checked up but werent condescending or snobby . You follow the rules and they let you enjoy the experience. At City range I felt like a prisoner in which the guards treated you like criminals before being convicted . Rude , condescending, and like I said before if you were not a buddy of theirs then you didnt matter to them.

Barely Adequate I guess.Every guy there has a condescending price tag fetish, and an apparent need to compensate for something. They are literally most of what gives a bad name to enthusiastic shooters in the world. The range itself is adequate, but compared to the pricing on other indoor ranges here, there is little choice. The benches should be a felony, and the dividers are way too shallow, its at least a dozen times in an hour session casings fly in from the adjacent slots. Blow-back from even small arms is felt constantly. Half of the range is constantly closed, even if no classes are going on. So when there is a line, youre just going to wait. Anything young, and dressed like a street walker is going to go ahead of members and long time patrons though. The short bearded guy is just an idiot, but the larger tattooed guy, and the old man are helpful and polite even if they dislike you or your gear. However, short bearded dude, makes this entire place feel like a Montana Citizens Militia annual picnic. Hes unfortunately always here. Unpleasant to the point that me and my friend are already seeking to spend more at their competitors to use equally as marginal facilities to not look at him.I mean, thats only ten customers, and ongoing negative references to the business reputation, but hey, some of us only spend $800 on a weapon and not $1400. How dare we!Unlike the other staff, he wont hesitate to give out bad information assuming youre an amateur, despite you having not asked for said advice. The other staff, except old guy and tatted up big dude, seem to TOLERATE the people who make their jobs a reality. As for feeling like you business is wanted or welcome, well, thats apparently too tall an order for minidong brigade.Seriously, we already go the public range, and hour away on weekend to not go here. When we all find one closer, no more money from us.A note to the owner, you are responding to negative reviews in writing , and yet nothing has changed. From one businessman to another, you need to decide if a couple of staff is worth the reputation of your business. When I write this rudely, and promise a net negative word of mouth, it means Ive experienced consistent issues, not isolated events.

Recently completed the CCW course at Calibers. Like most places, there is some good, and some room for improvement.Good : This is a one stop shop if you want to minimize your hassle factor and invested time for getting through the NM State nonsense for your permit. They will fingerprint you on-site (for a fee), they will loan you a weapon if you need one or if you wish to qualify with a caliber larger than you have (note that you have to purchase their ammo, which is a fair enough requirement).Room for improvement : During the lecture part of the class, they pull you out 1 by 1 if you have signed up for the fingerprinting. Expect this to take 3-5 minutes. I would rather have listened to the lecture as that was an important part or the course. They also didn’t do a good job of reeling in those who were “students” who felt compelled to expound on their personal experiences of dealing with self defense situations. It was a bit cringeworthy to listen to some of the experts who were there to take the class. (I suspect that there is a lot of this in any CCW class you take).Possibly the only questionable portion of the class was the sales pitch that you will listen to by a representative of US Law Shield. USLS pays CCW vendors to include a sales pitch from them on their legal defense plans that they sell. Don’t get me wrong… I’m not disparaging the product, but I am not in favor of paying $100 for a class only to be subjected to what was the CCW equivalent of a timeshare pitch. This may, or may not serve you well, depending on your inclination to obtain a plan. It would have been good to get an overview of all current protection plans being offered, and not just the hard sell USLS pitch.I am overall, more satisfied than not. There is some low hanging fruit in terms of improvement, but the convenience of getting everything done in a 4 hour class made this a viable choice. If they continue to push the USLS representation “club membership” (or however you want to refer to it, as they claim it is not insurance) I suspect that I won’t be returning. I’ve heard that once, thank you!

Two stars because there customer service was good before, but DO NOT forget your ID when leaving the store. I was visiting out of state and went shooting with my father in law. They forgot to hand us back both of our ID’s and I’m from Florida. Realized it was missing after I left the state, called back to see if my father in law could pick it up and was told no. When my father in law went to get his license he knew my situation and they gave him my ID anyway after they told me they wouldn’t. And a replacement was already purchased. Time and effort wasted and won’t be back.

Just to comment on the fact that 37 customers had a very poor opinion of this business & its employees. Many of the positive reviews were years old, with some 5-6 years old. Management needs to take steps to improve interaction of the employees with customers, unless the business is making such huge profits it can afford to antagonize and lose 1/3 of its potential customer base. The only other possible scenario is that Calibers may be a front for BATFE & as such are more concerned with the agencys mission than in good customer relations, :o)

I’ve given Calibers 3 swings at my business, and they’ve managed to (*irk*) me off ALL 3 times! Three strikes- you’re out! Sales staff are primarily entitled millennial D-bags who act as if you should be as impressed with them as they are with themselves and seem to have no awareness as to whom (the customer or the retail sales clerk) should feel previleged for the interaction. Last straw was an FFL transfer I attempted to complete today. Shipment tracking indicated that my rifle had been delivered to Calibers, so I took the 45 minute drive into town to pick it up. When I arrived to pick up my rifle, I was told that it hadn’t arrived yet (A bold-faced lie!). When I explained that shipping tracking indicated that my rifle had been delivered at 1:29PM (about 3 hours earlier), the clerk conceded that it had arrived, but that “they” had already left for the day. There were at least 4 employees working at the time, none of them appeared to be too busy apart from trying to look cool mishandling some gun or another, and I was provided no further intel on who “they” might be or why “they” would be a critical element to my completing the FFL transfer.I was asked if I’d received a call indicating that my rifle had arrived, and I explained that I had not - even though it had been delivered hours earlier. The clerk then scolded me for coming in before receiving the call that they were ready to turn my rifle over to me. The only reason I had chosen Calibers as my FFL transfer (in spite of my two previous crappy experiences in that store) was due to my perception that their location, hours, and staffing would make it an easy and pleasurable experience to pick up my rifle when it came in... instead I was told to go home and wait for them to call me when they’re darn good and ready to deal with me, and only then would I be presented the previledge of making ANOTHER 1-1/2 hour round trip into town to pay them $40 for a $20 service. At this point I have no choice but to endure one final visit to Calibers-Albuquerque, as my new 50-BMG is effectively being held hostage by a Tacti-cool boy-band who very likely just needed more time to pose for selfies with it for their Instagrams. I promise to keep it together while I’m in there, but it will be the last time my shadow will ever pass that threshold and I’ll do everything within my power to see that Calibers doesn’t see a single cent of the tens-of-thousands of dollars my agency spends on guns and ammunition every year.

Where do I begin... I walk into the lobby of this gun range and was immediately told to remove my pistol from my holster. I was quite shocked. Of course i made it a point to look for signs posted about holstered firearms. There were none. Might I add that there are tons of assault rifles hanging on the wall and one guy behind the counter was carrying a pistol on his hip. There was a customer carrying one too. I was rudely asked if I was law enforcement. I replied no. Funny part is that there was a police officer standing right there! He didnt bat an eye. Moving on.Then I stand there for literally 20 minutes with an empty holster, looking like an idiot, waiting to pay my range fee. FINALLY got that done. Walk into the range and you couldnt even see the floor from all the casings! Anyone with half a brain knows that is a hazard. Good thing I had my boots with half inch tread. I live in Texas and came here for the holidays. I did thorough research on gun laws in New Mexico. New Mexico is a gun friendly state. Nowhere near how strict Texas is. But these guys and their shop are anti 2A. I couldnt believe how they played favorites. I DO NOT recommend this place. Unless you like being stripped of your firearm and 2A rights.

I recently used this store for my FFL transfer through an online firearm purchase I did. I always get delayed when buying a firearm so I know the process pretty well now. I got delayed on Monday and was told to wait for the call to get it or come in Monday and get it, pretty standard. Well I get the call Saturday to pick the gun up, so I rush to calibers with wife and baby excited and anxious to show her what I ordered. I go to the counter and tell the guy what I came for and how I was called to pick up my gun. He gets the gun and this is where it went down hill. Everytime Im called to get my gun its come in, tell the guy, he gets my gun, I check it, then I leave. Not here. Gun was brought out, I was told to wait while he goes over paper work and to train some new people on the system. I then wait. And wait. And wait some more. All while baby is screaming in the car with mom who by now is livid and wondering what Im doing or buying now. So I tell them. I was then told I could wait at my car and it would be brought to me. I said ok and went to the car. After like 5 minutes of waiting outside and explain to my wife we decided we should all go in. So now were waiting in the store for my gun when the guy comes up to me and says that I was delayed again. And said the fbi does this from time to time. That was a lie. And Im now confused. I have never been delayed again. I never heard of this. My wife asked a manner about this issue, when he looked it up they had rerun my background and had cancelled my proceed. Thankfully he fixed it and I got my gun but this was the guy training the other guys who told me I was delayed. Instead of an apology the guy kept blaming the fbi. I will not be using them any more for my purchases

I am pensioned & retired from the US Army, & retired as a former Colorado deputy sheriff. I chose Calibers as the shop to have an internet purchase shipped to for two reasons. The first because I took notice of how often gun stores closer to me have been broken into. This was a major consideration because SOMETIMES thieves take more than guns (though it is not reported in the news) & the thought of accurate information regarding number, type of firearms, addresses at which they were located, etc. falling into the hands of felons was of great concern. The second because they were the first FFL dealer that popped up on the internet sellers web site. My first review was based on the time it took for the items I ordered to be logged in. However, when I went to pick up the items, I had an excellent customer service experience at Calibers, 9320 Coors location. Dan was extremely patient & helpful in helping me navigate the keyboard I needed to use to fill out the necessary forms. The NICS check went extremely smoothly & in a surprisingly short time. I was even given a break on the transfer fee which was the icing on the cake. Maybe my initial impression was based on a few individuals who were not having a good day. We all get those. But the experience on Sunday, 1 October 2017 was absolutely great. Dan was extremely professional, helpful, patient and courteous. Kudos!

While there, an employee of Calibers came in and started telling me and my friend that we were holding the gun wrong and showed us a ghetto, 1984 Miami Vice grip. I refrained from laughing and told him the we were fine and continued to help my friend. However, the employee would not leave us alone. I eventually pulled out my wallet and started laying down all five of my Instructor Certification cards and explained to him that I am an Instructor and I know what Im doing. At this point, the employee started telling us that we could not be there to shoot because I had not reserved a Range Time with Calibers. I explained that I was not there to Qualify my friend as a Student, but merely there to assist him with his marksmanship. The employee kept at us until we were both so distracted that we could not continue working on his fundamentals. I express to all of my Students not to go to Calibers and will go out of my way to tell this experience to anyone who is considering going to this establishment.

Store - Good selection of firearms and accessories at fair prices that they frequently restock. They purchase used firearms as well, but do not necessarily offer the best price in town.2. Customer Service - Their staff as a combined unit contain a huge array of skills and knowledge. The guys working the counter are easy to talk to, friendly, kind, and eager to help out if you have any questions. I cannot give enough praise to the level of professionalism the staff at Calibers has, especially towards women and new shooters.3. Gunsmithing - Josh is fantastic. Ive had him work on a few of my firearms. Hes very knowledgeable, and was able to make great recommendations for me based on issues I had with my firearms. Every modification hes made makes a huge difference.4. Indoor Range - The range is fantastic here. The temperature is always comfortable, air circulates nicely, and someone is always helping to clear spent brass out of the way. The price is steep at $20/person/day ($15 for a 2nd shooter), but women get 50% off on Thursdays and everyone gets that deal on Monday nights. Targets are set on rails with various distances that max out at 25 yards. A few things that could be better is the lighting at less than 5 yards is a little dark at times, especially if you have an extremely small target at this distance to hit. Holster draw is prohibited without a draw card that you get through their trainers and must be supervised during a small window of time. Given the liability and safety concerns, I do understand the need to restrict holster drawing, but it would have been nice to practice my draw and fire drills at my leisure without restriction. Again, service is king here and whats nice is any time I had a question while practicing, I could simply step out and ask and someone would come by to help if needed. Its an ideal place for a new shooter to get introduced to firearms. (Rentals are also widely available at $10/$20/$30 for handgun/rifle/machine gun. As per industry standard, you must purchase their ammo to use with their guns. If you bring your own firearms, you may either bring your own ammo or purchase theirs. Eye and Ear protection also available to rent while there)5. Classes - to date Ive taken the Handguns 101 for Women class and AR-15 Intro class with Jimmy Creed. These classes were excellent in presentation, pacing, understanding, multiple learning style applications, and live fire practices. The education goes a long way in reviewing the key elements of firearms that every shooter should know by heart in a very structured format. They wont miss things that are critical to your learning. I cant recommend these classes enough.6. Personal Training - Ive been lucky enough afford personal training at Calibers (15-20 hours on pistol, 5-10 on rifle). I evolved from my initial goal of dont kill myself accidentally with my gun to refining my skills for competitive shooting. Calibers employs several highly certified instructors, but I have kept my training with Jimmy Creed specifically as I find his teaching style very easy to understand, patient, and effective. The one-on-one training is very affordable and you get so much more than what you can get in a class. The one-on-one attention means you are watched closer for mistakes, improvements, unsafe habits, and limits confusion that may occur in a larger class size. You also get the entire range to yourself. This afford you the ability to train in unique environments like low lighting, cover, unusual positions, multiple target acquisition, etc etc. When I am practicing on the range on my own, I get compliments on my level of control, confidence, precision, and accuracy. Many are shocked at the level of pistol skill I am able to exercise despite having shot for less than a year. This 100% comes from the investment I made to get trained by Jimmy Creed. Again, worth every penny and more.

I spend two years and three months in Pakistan, I must confess that training and practice at Calibers saved my life. Jimmy is a great trainer at Calibers although I only worked with him, there must be other great trainers there, as well.

They have a really nice range no doubt about it. Just really unfriendly staff. Really annoying. They charged me twice on a 54 dollar transaction and said they would have their ceo look at it on Monday (it was a Saturday when I talked to them about it). I called on Tuesday asking to confirm that they had looked at it and got a well if they said they did it then it happened. Dude, really? All Im asking to do is check and see if you all had talked with my bank or however card transactions work. Im fully aware it takes a few days to process. Thats why I called to confirm. Probably will use my two free range visits, and never return.

Worst place to shoot in ABQ. Range management is terrible, they allow people to shoot shotguns in the pistol range, which makes the place dangerous and untenably noisy, very unpleasant for teaching purposes, brass is swept only rarely - staff are mostly rude and unhelpful with a few exceptions. A lot of seriously stupid people shoot there. Also, it is unwise to spend too much time in any indoor range, especially one this poorly ventilated. I was coughing up black crud for days after shooting there for an hour. Also - the owner should stop spending time writing responses that sound like BS and fix his obviously very profitable but unprofessional business.

My mother and I came in to rent and shoot at the range, and were helped by a problematic employee who insisted that she use a gun a bit too large for her hand, then patronized her for her hold on it. I rented a Walther PPK. The employee did not mention that the firearms backstrap / grip safely area tends to cut into the hand. 100 shots in the range later, I come out with a bleeding hand after doing my best to adapt to the firearm. I showed the employee my hand and said how the small firearm hurt me, and he nonchalantly said, Yeah, I know, and dismissed my opinion that future customers would appreciate knowing about the problem before committing to the rental and the ammunition. The patronising and the inability to offer so much as a bandage to a customer reflects too poorly on the professionalism of an individual that handles, wears, and rents firearms. If youre looking for an appropriate place to rent and shoot, I wouldnt recommend this business at all.

I lost all respect for Calibers in Albuquerque when shooters were allowed to tape a picture of President Obamas head to their targets! What do you think would happen ifI did the same with President Trumps head.Update: This took place when you had the range off of San Pedro. There were the usual employees watching the range.

By far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Had a gun shipped there, but when it was time to pick it up, the employees were patronizing and would not release the product, wrongly stating that only a vehicle registration or a hunting license of all things (which costs around $30 more) would prove my current address.Sorting the other posts by recency, it is VERY clear that, within the past year anyway, a trend of poor customer service and rude behavior by the staff has caused many people to cease doing business with this establishment. Add another to that ever-growing list.

This place is horrible, I went in looking for a stock for my AR, I told the guy I wanted one to use on my 1000 yard competition gun. My daughter has started shooting out to 800 yards and I was looking for a solid collapsible stock so we could both use the gun (she is nine). he showed me a Magul MOE I asked if there was something that was tighter since a loose stock makes long shots hard, he reached over the counter and handed me a DPMS 24 inch bull barrel AR-15 and said buy this, then walked off to help someone else. Thanks but no thanks, I already have an AR that reaches out to 1000 I came in for a stock not a full gun. what an arrogant bastard. I am not sure what the rest of the sales people are like but that one needs to go...

I have frequently shot at Calibers on Coors. I had heard stories about the staff being rude and arrogant. But had never experienced it first hand until today. My friend and I went in today. I was shooting and he was shopping. My friend came into the shooting area wearing appropriate safety equipment to talk to me about buying anual memberships. An employee, Greg, immediately came in shouting in an overly agressive, unnecessarily hateful, and completely unprofessional maner telling him he was not allowed in the shooting area and inaccurately shouted that he had told my friend this before. This employee continued to berate and harrass my friend even after exiting the shooting area to the point that my friend had to go outside to escape the assault. I understand the necessity for rules and their enforcement, however, this was an unnecessary display of immature, over agressive, self important behavior from an employee who apparently has no concept of customer service. I will not be purchasing a membership, or be back to any Calibers location in the future.I will however be telling every person I meet this story, and recommend they not conduct business at Calibers either.

So ive had good and bad experiences at Calibers. But I gotta say my last visit, if I can help, it will be my last. I walked in with the intent of purchasing a compact handgun for back-up purposes. As I am a 10 year law enforcement officer. Well my first mistake was actually admitting I was looking for a firearm at all. As soon as I asked for a particular caliber this guy at (Coors location) raised his eyebrow at me saying ahhh are you sure. Then proceeded to give me his opinion, which was not asked for, nor welcomed. An opinion which included a half ass story about a guy getting shot in the head and surviving? ....cool? Anyway, look I dont doubt Caliber employees have a lot of training and can watch the hell out of a YouTube video. But when you put down a customers possible purchase before knowing the purpose of the firearm. Or even knowing what my background is before putting your two cents in, is just bad business. I love talking guns dont get me wrong, but I dont like being talked to like im a f****ing tourist. Now im not one to tell people im a cop or start laying down my extensive training and EXPERIENCE. But I came real close with this guy. But needless to say I did not buy the handgun I went in there for, not because this guy convinced me at all, but because I simply felt too damn annoyed. I never complain or even put reviews on line but as this was not the first time this happened I felt compelled. As law enforcement Ive never felt welcomed at Calibers as law enforcement or a gun owner. So ill take my business elsewhere and not burden Calibers with my money haha. Ok im getting off my soap box.

I decided to drop in one day go to the range and after I saw they carried alien gear haulsters I special ordered one thinking it would be in pretty fast. The employee I placed it with sounded like it would arrive pretty quickly. So thats why I decided to order it threw the store l. It has been 4 weeks and still nothing I have called and left a message with the special order department and nobody has returned my call. I called alien gear trying to see what is going on. They told me is should be in. They were nice enought to ship a new cluck 3.0 and I received it in 3 days. I am about to just cancel my order but I have already waited 4 weeks. I already have been shopping arround for a new firearm a store to give them my business and not calibers due to my experience so far. call g tre Ie call. I e alien gear and they got me a new haulster nlbain 4 day

Basically calls there costumers stupid. The fact that this is a gun shop and does not allow open carry. To quote the store manager some of our customers are not gun savy thats why we dont allow open carry, and continues to say that if you can not arrest people you are not allowed to open carry. What does gun safty have anything to do with arresting people. If you ask me the Calibers is not gun friendly.

Calibers is a fantastic shop with very knowledgeable staff. Read a lot of reviews that Calibers is anti-2nd amendment by not allowing open carry in the store. While I was in purchasing a new Sig Sauer pistol, I inquired about the open carry policy and learned that they absolutely support a right to carry a weapon. They feel that it is for the safety of everyone that customers do not openly carry a gun (even though it is legal to in NM). While I was in there I saw the staff politely ask a customer who was open carrying to case his firearm as they offered a loaner case and explained the open carry policy. If you hold a CCW certification they completely allow carry in the store. I also learned that the staff all go through a rigorous qualification to carry a firearm in the store! That thought put my safety concerns to rest. Overall it was a wonderful experience to shoot and purchase a weapon at Calibers. Will definitely be going back to shoot!
