I enjoyed Spring hill. The course is well maintained. There are some interesting holes, the other golfers are for all purpose friendly. Greens seemed very fast today which is a blast

Well maintained, traps in great shape for the middle of winter.

Nice setting but disappointed with the up keep. I golf the courses from mallard to meadows in Salem this is by far ranks at the bottom. No Pins on the greens and the tee boxes were not mowed.

Played here last Sunday (11/17) and I was greatly impressed with the conditions..especially the greens. As a player with 40 years in the golf business, I have worked in the agronomy side, as a Pro/Mgr, and in Tournament Operations at the Tour level. Ive played or worked on over 500 courses in my life.Ive played and worked on courses in Asia, Scotland, all over the US, Mexico, Hawaii and Canada. So when I say a course has great greens, I have some expertise. The unique aspect about Spring Hill, is that they must overseed with bent when they aerify, because the % of poa in their greens compared to bent is lower then most others Ive played in this region. The result? Their greens are super smooth, and the speed is perfect. Really impressed with the course.Plus, If youre looking for something different to play, Spring Hills set-up is a 6-6-6 (6 par fives, 6 par threes, and 6 par fours.) How often have you ever seen that? Albany isnt that far either. Just an hour from Portland, and the setting is beautiful.Surrounded by farms, Its a parkland style with hundreds of mature trees, elevated, contoured greens with strategic bunkering. A few water hazards that come into play, and the aesthetics are great, so it has tremendous eye appeal. Its also more of a private club experience, but open to public play. Go see for yourself. Spring Hill is a real treat.

The golf was good, the course maintenance was fair, but the value for price wasnt there. I wont orchestrate a return, but wont shy away from it if invited for an event. Like I said, the game was good there.
