This museum is completely free. We had the entire building to ourselves. There is a kid area with creative toys, a room that projects your movement onto a screen and a wall to wall chalk board. There are three different rooms to view. The artwork is beautiful. I recommend this to anyone looking for something to do in Albany

Albany Museum of Art is a perfect place for a familys day-out.

So blessed to have our local art museum make the most of sheltering in place to our young artist!

The place itself was very accommodating, comfortable, and everything promised delivered. Staff was polite, helpful and knowledgeable, friendly, & humble. Great event venue for any venue, something for everyones taste inside & outside. Loved the experience.

I’m not really a big fan of this museum. They rarely update exhibits, and this place doesn’t have much to offer. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

I began working here a year ago and Ive loved every minute of it, from the great people I work with to the visitors and the artists who come in. Youre missing something unique to Albany if you dont drop by sometime.

This is a gem. The staff is helpful and went out of their way to make my school group feel welcome. Great display.

Went to a lovely wedding reception where I caught the bouquet.

If you are planning on renting out the auditorium available there, beware of the time that they give you for an event. Especially if you are planning a wedding or reception here. They only give you 8 hours per rental and everything must be done within that 8 hour period OR you pay $100 extra per additional hour. Facility is very nice but fairness.... not so much at first....Once I spoke with the Director she helped out best she could to accommodate. ALSO IF YOU ARE HAVING A WEDDING HERE THE DEPOSIT IS $450. MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOU WANT TO PICK YOUR REFUND UP OR ELSE IT WILL TAKE SERVAL WEEKS TO RECIEVE IT IN THE MAIL. Overall OUTSTANDING staff. Ms.Yvonne Jones is very great. She is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. All staff are very helpful and nice. GREAT Venue will encourage Others to RENT HERE for Events.
