It’s basically the only park you can go to in Alamosa that’s clean. The other ones but they have a lot of drug users in the city and they’re always throwing around used heroin needles etc. This is probably the cleanest park. Don’t forget that Pavo is really high in Alamosa so don’t bring your dogs here Without the proper Pavo vaccinations or you might risk your dog dying. There’s a big homeless community who likes to hang out behind the library so that one corner isn’t that best, I usually avoid that and cut across the grass. There’s a great skate park and you can ride your BMX and you can jog around and even along the river. There is shade and picnic tables as well.

Stopped for a picnic lunch while on a road trip. Very nice park. Bathroom doors dont lock and there are no stall doors - made daughters uneasy.

Clean. Nice facilities. Only 4 stars due to bathrooms facilities (no toilet seats, no stall doors, no toilet paper or paper towels). But bathrooms were clean.

Clean and well kept. Has two gazebos with picnic tables. Tennis court, and volleyball.

Great little park! Plenty to do for the kiddos with a restroom, tennis courts, playground, swings, basketball courts, & open space.

A little worn out, but the gravel trail around the park is neat!

Pretty good little park, has plenty of playground equipment for young children, bathroom facilities available in the spring summer and fall basically until freezing temps hit. Also basketball volleyball and tennis set up. Great for older kids. Covered Picnic areas also

This is more of a heads up to any other skaters that are thinking theres a cool skate park at carrol park, there isnt. We thought there was a skate park here, since someone posted multiple pictures of one. Those pictures are actually from the Monte Vista park.

Beautiful park kid friendly

It is a nice grassy area where you can walk your dog, let the kids run around, just sit back and take a quick break, have a small get together or many other activities.

Quiet wasnt to crowded

Theyve got a treasure here in Alamosa. The park is quite large and has a lot of great features. The new Senior Center is just across the street and the library and SLV museum are a short walk.

Real nice would come back more often definitely was better than some of the other parks in town
