Great place to bird watch or just take a nice stroll. Highway noise is prevalent but did not spoil the natural beauty of this park.

Great place to view birds in their natural habitat. We saw brown thrasher, geese and gosling, red winged blackbirds, and great white egrets.

Public works looks good.

This is a somewhat hard to find little gem of a park on the outskirts of Alabaster (the most conservative city in Alabama). Nice for watching the egrets, herons and other large birds who make the place a home for themselves. Not much else to do except watch the model airplane club fly their airplanes.

Good for birding. A work in progress. Not the most peaceful patk...They have a wooden walkway and observation area next to wetland. Native plants have been planted to encourage native species. Noisy due to model airplane club sharing the space. But they were there first. There is also a police shooting range and city garbage truck parking recently approved there.

The park is flat featuring one short trail and a boardwalk allowing access to a bird watching platform. If you are not into prairie plants or birding you should at least be interested in airplane models when visiting the park.

Its a beautiful natural view in the middle of a semi-industrialized area, but it could stand to be larger with more walking trails.

Nice peaceful place to escape to

Unique habitat mix in central Alabama, including Tupelo Gum swamp, beaver marsh, wet meadow, and open grassland/prairie lot. Lots of birds rarely seen anywhere else in the area.

This is great place to view wildlife or fly an RC plane. You may need to be a member to fly at the club.

Was a beautiful park until corruption by city government allowed it to be destroyed.
