My family and I walk this trail often. The trail is wide and fairly flat. We have frequently used our bike-tire style stroller with no issues, just a bumpy ride for our toddler. About mid-way through the trail there is an option to continue on the flat terrain through the field or go right into the woods. With the stroller we always stick to the left/straight on the level path. The view is pleasant and it is beautiful to see the foliage change through the seasons.

Absolutely gorgeous area! The flowers go on as far as you can see, and the sound of birds chirping all around made it so peaceful. It was stroller friendly if you have the right tires for it! (I’m sure other wheels would be fine too, just a bit tougher on stroller & bumpier for the littles)

This old farmer’s field has been turned into a wonderful naturally open growth ecosystem! It is primarily tree free so bring your skin protection if it is a sunny day. There is a small section of woods but 90% thick chest high Ohio field plant growth. The path is flat, well maintained & grass covered. A great place to take your dog for a walk with several benches to take a rest if needed.

There isnt much there. A walk path, a little pond and the bog over look but what is there is very beautiful. They do have restrooms at the start of the trail. Benches also along the trail..nice little park. Pretty wild flowers.

If you want to see some amazing native Ohio prairie flowers, you need to come here! Check out the pictures of the more rare plants that were spotted. The Green Herons at the pond made the walk even better! Bring a pair of binoculars to check out other birds and to see better over the actual bog. You wont be disappointed!

A hike is always a good thing. This is mostly level with an excursion option into the woods. Prairie vegetation dominates. Short (1.6 mile) but sweet.

Springfield Bog Metropark in Springfield Twp, OH, is a lovely place to take walks in. Has restroom facility; that is well maintained, picnic tables, two lookout decks and once around is approximately 1.6 miles. We walked as a family this past weekend 06/07/2020, and it was enjoyed by all of us even the grandkids!

Nice easy loop trail. I think its 1.6 miles and mostly flat. There are a few picnic tables near the parking lot. There are male and female restrooms for 1 person at a time. Just watch where you step while on the trail because most people dont clean up their dog droppings :(

I have driven past this place for 10 or so years and just went with my wife over the weekend. What a beautiful place. So many wild flowers, weeds, and insects to appeal to many nature lovers. Bathrooms are nice and the grounds are well kept. Also there are cows and goats across the street. Its private property, but that wont stop me from moo-ing at them. Lol!

This is a good fall hike with dogs, it was a little busy. However, theres not a ton of room to move to the side if you do have large dogs. I think with lack of shade a 70 degree plus day may be rough on the pooches of theyre not acclimated to hot temperatures.

A great quick trail to go on. Around 1.6 mile loop with no sharp elevations or drops. The trail is almost always in great shape. Kind of unique too. Alot of trails go through the woods but this one is more of a prairie with a different type of scenery.

Review №35

A nice relatively flat trail through a prairie. New park so it has some development to do but they are constantly giving it attention. Great place to bird watch and see butterflies. If you go left on the trail, there is a nice little pond and an overlook of a small bog. If you like the NEO rocks trend, I have found one there. If you like Pokemon go, this location is a nest. Remember this location is 99% out in a field, except for a small side trail into the woods if you so choose. Please remember the layout if its a hot day - there is little reprieve from the hot sun.

This property has alot of potential...as residential housing. Yes, the bog is a keeper.. no need to upset that. The pond offers Summit county the potential to score over a million $ for those who would pay for lakefront property. Unless this land is in what is euphemistically known as a conservatory, it should be sold and developed. 1/10 of the land can be kept as a park. Huge waste of development land.

Beautiful walk. My dog and I loved it. The only reason I took off a star was because I could smell the bathrooms from about 80 feet away. I have been to many parks, and this was the only one I was afraid to go near, let alone into the restroom. Maybe it is just time to change. Other than that, our parks are clean, well cared for, and you can tell they are loved. We are lucky to live in such an environmentally rich area.

Springfield Bog is a 1.6 mile trek around the park on easily marked trail. There a FEW picnic areas behind the parking area however not within the park trail area itself. This park come alive with butterflies coyote bobwhites different species of birds muskrat rabbit woolbears grasshoppers turtles etc. If one stands still long enough there is an opportunity to observe many of the animal and wildlife. At 1.6 miles it is long enough for families. Well kept and maintained with ranger and volunteer presence frequeb.mmm Nice well posted environmentally sound hike.hike here frequently.
