Spent some time wandering in Aiken, SC yesterday. They were closed when I arrived, but I did take some memory pics. The outside is well maintained with beautiful flowers surrounding. Across the street is the little train depot, great place for photos and meet ups. They do have train that take visitors around to see some of the sites. Check the schedule online for more details. Seem to be a very cool interactive place for kids.I will update once I actually go inside. I recommend to start your tour here for inside tips from the locals.

Model trains paired with history were fantastically put together. There was a live bluegrass session going on downstairs during my visit which seemed appropriate for the location. Cant wait to see the full sized train cars that are currently being remodeled.

If your interested in model trains this is a great spot. Also had very knowledgeable and friendly staff which was able to provide me with information about the surrounding community.

Fun little museum. Great for kids. Interactive displays, and staff showed my daughter how to drive the train and gave her a paper hat. We were able to learn a lot about the history and have fun too.

Fun for the while family! Lots of interesting history as well as interactive educational displays for kids. Will definitely bring my family back!

Extremely rude and unfriendly staff downstairs and some dusty train dioramas highlighting the history of railroads in America and Aiken. I enjoy history but this place is not worth the visit if you are in the Aiken area since there are so many great places in Aiken. Hard pass.
