The haunted house was very fun. I hope to bring my daughters to this next time I go. I really enjoyed all the hard work of creating this haunted house. Awesome job on the details, so cool!

Im so glad they are trying to preserve the 1910 historic Swenson House. They allowed our bus tour to have a catered lunch there with a private guided tour. Sorry some of the photos got out of order.

What?! I havent left a review yet? OMG, this is more than just an old house & its not just for your grandma. It is really cool if you are into any trade regarding renovation or in to design, art, history, Texas history, photography... It is really unique, its hard to believe it is in Abilene & the Mr. Swenson really accomplished what he did in one life. Haunted Abilene & Christmas are great times to visit or have an event. The Arbor has improved leaps & bounds in the last year.

We visited Abilene midweek in March looking for the prettiest town Ive ever seen. We found one remaining grand old mansion, the Swenson House, surrounded by a working class neighborhood. We drove by admiring its lovely exterior and noticed a gardener working in the grounds. Turned out the gardener, Martin, was the houses biggest fan and volunteer and he gave us an on-the-spot private tour for a nominal fee. What a house! Original furniture inside and interesting history of the builder, a Renaissance Man of his time. Its a darn shame that most other Abilene mansions were demolished but with the communitys support this gem will survive and be a link to Abilenes storied past.
