Our favorite place to camp. It’s a little less busy and it’s peaceful. There are lots of great playgrounds for the kids, good showering facilities, and the beach nearby is sandy and the water is very shallow with no motorized boat traffic.

We visit our friends who camp for a week every year at Chief White Crane. Beautiful campground. Even when it completely full, the campground is not chaotic or noisy. The facilities are always stocked and cleaned daily. The views are amazing and it is such a relaxing atmosphere. The prices did go up even for day passes from last year. It was $6 for the day 4pm to 4pm.

We love coming here as a family. The beautiful cottonwoods whisper in the wind, making the whole place very peaceful. Other campers are not too close and the shower facilities are very clean. This week the kids caught 11 fish! Pretty fun for first time fishermen!

Chief White Crane is my favorite spot to walk and camp. Quiet campground with great facilities right next to Lake Yankton and very close to Gavins Point Dam. I take my dogs there to walk the trails often and always see wildlife. Ive even found a few geocaches in the area.

Its clean, well cared for. RV camp sites have cement pads, picnic tables and fire pits. Lots of grass and trees. Although no full hookups and no wifi its a great place to get away for a few days. It does have clean and modern bathroom/showerhouses. Plenty of fishing lake or river.
