Its a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside and is so cozy! The coffee is delicious, and they have so many different fun flavors. The muffin I had was also amazing--dont know if they make them in-house or if they have a Muffin Man, but either way, wow. The barista who greeted me when I walked in talked to me like I was a friend she was excited to see. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Lovely and spacious coffee shop! I had a great experience here and my cold brew was delicious and smooth. The barista is an absolute sweetie and knew many of the customers orders when they walked through the door. The place has a variety of workspaces, from couches to armchairs to tables. Will definitely return!

I was there today at 3pm and the shop was closed...and online it said open till 4pm :( AND THE HOURS WERE NOT ON THE DOOR!! :( I tried to call and text the number but there was no answer. I LOVE THIS COFFEE SHOP! But they need to post their hours clearly on the door -- would make them alot more business!!

Super duper friendly, and very catering! Drinks are made super quick, and are made delicious! Great place to burn through some studying, or just to hangout in general. They have great snacks, and an array of art for sale. I often leave a few clicks happier after having visited.

My favorite new coffee shop! Before Christmas I was searching for a local coffee house that roasted locally and had a good holiday blend. I stumbled onto this place and have been back several times! Excellent service! Awesome vibe! And great cup of joe!

Cute small and local coffee shop right in the middle of Wilmington. Both times I went the place was near empty making it a nice place to sit and work or catch up with a friend. Coffee was nothing special, they have an extensive range of flavors and latte types but I was unimpressed with the espresso flavor and the milk was overaerated and there was far too much foam.

Love this coffee place. The baristas are always super friendly and make great coffee. They offer a keto selection including keto donuts and bagels that I highly recommend! The atmosphere is laid back. Great place to do some work or meet with friends.

Good coffee, but dont visit if youre in a rush. Waited in line with many customers waiting for the barista to take my order, while the owner stood behind the counter sipping coffee and chatting it up with a female customer. If you own a coffee shop, help your employees make coffee, rather than stand there and sip coffee, while watching customers wait for an extended period of time because the one employee you have working is struggling. Mind blowing to me... Wont be back... At least at Starbucks theres a sense of urgency and the manager isnt leisurely sipping coffee behind the counter doing absolutely nothing....

I really liked this coffee shop. I went with my husband and we both enjoyed our coffees. The staff was super friendly and the decor was really cool. I got the cookie butter and cinnamon latte with almond milk, which was super tasty.

Quality coffee. Yummy pastries. Spacious indoors. Overall very clean and inviting. There are a couple tables outside that overlook South College Road and the carwash. We had a tall coffee and a scone and chocolate muffin. A neat little place that doesn’t disappoint.

Old North is cozy and friendly. I love the local art on the walls, and my latte was delicious. I’d like to see them offer real mugs for those who are staying in house to enjoy their coffee. It would add to the experience and be an eco friendly move.

We are from out of town, and decided to stop in for a coffee after a long drive out to Wilmington. We were definitely not disappointed! We both got delicious drinks and enjoyed the relaxing environment of the shop for a few minutes before leaving for our appointment. Well definitely be going back the next time were in town!

I loved the atmosphere there as soon as I walked in. Also, it is very spacious. It was Veterans Day and Megan asked me if I was a veteran so I got my hot green tea for free. This coffee shop does not have a level of comfort to it that customers desire. I’ve either been too hot while trying to work there or there has been an uncomfortable seat to do work at. While they have a bulletproof coffee (butter + MCT oil in black coffee), which is rare for a Wilmington coffee shop, their black coffee is nothing to write home about.

The bulletproof is my absolute favorite! This is also my favorite coffee shop in town, by far! Super friendly and always delicious coffee!

First time here and I will definitely return. I had a delicious French Vanilla Latte. Perfect coffee flavor, not super sweet like a fast-food drink and not the obnoxiously strong S. B.-style that many places serve nowadays. Quiet, but warm and welcome atmosphere with a few comfy places to sit.

Traveling tip: ask the locals where the best hole-in-the-wall coffee shops are. You wont be disappointed! I ordered a nonfat dark chocolate mocha latte and was genuinely impressed. My drink is right up there, if not past, Starbucks version! I am so so so pleased. Super nice people and a chill environment :) definitely planning on posting how pleased I am all over the Internet. I wish they had tshirts though!

Good coffee, chai, and other coffee drinks, nice folks and they even use reverse osmosis water for their drinks, since our local water supply is tainted. They will fill gallons of the clean water for you for 30¢, if you bring your own container.

I’ve been on a mission to find the best espresso in the Wilmington area. As of this posting I’ve tried half a dozen places. So you can understand this review, let me tell you what I’m looking for from an espresso:It shouldn’t be bitter. It should have a thick crema. Ideally the crema should be somewhat brown, not blonde. However since the crema color is affected by the darkness of the roast, this isn’t automatically a bad thing.u2028u2028I always order a double shot, since they’re easier to pull and to be more consistent with when making. A double shot should produce around 60 mL of espresso and should take 25-28 seconds to make once the first drop hits the cup. When the espresso is coming out of the machine it should stream out with roughly the thickness of spaghetti. If it gets to straw thickness or drips out, one can tell the shot has not been dialed in correctly and that the grind size is inaccurate.At Old North Coffee the process was fully automatic. The barista never personally ground the coffee or tamped it. The extraction itself was quick - less than 20 seconds in my estimation. The front of the machine is blocked from view, so I was unable to see some things about how the espresso was pulled.The crema was a good color and reasonable thickness. The espresso itself, bitter. I am giving it 3 stars because it beats places like Starbucks and Port City Java. But if your desire is for a straight espresso, I wouldn’t make a special trip. Instead, try the Luna Cafe. That place has the best espresso I’ve yet found in town. See their listing for my review.

What Old North Coffee lacks in food it makes up in quality coffee and outstanding environment. There is a pleasant organic decor with plenty of seating and coffee shop beats.

First time visiting but wont be the last. Its unimaginable that a coffee shop such as this would be so quaint. I loved the vibe, the music and the staff. Seating is comfortable for a loner looking to do some quiet computer work or sip a cup of joe or a group looking for a spot to brainstorm. I find this coffee shop much more accessible than Starbucks for two reasons. 1. When visiting, you dont feel like just another customer, the staff is friendly, helpful and have a larger variety of specialty coffee and teas; 2. When working on your computer, there is much more space provided and I felt comfortable having a telephone conversation without having someone practically looking over my shoulder. If you are not into the chain coffee shops and not into crowded /noisy (often no seats available), then Old North Coffee is the place for you. Try the Dirty Chai, you wont be disappointed. However, you will come back. Exceptionally clean, spacious and free Wi-Fi
