Its never a bad day when you end up at Westside Improv. Still the Brest Improv youll find in Wheaton...on Front Street. Seriously though, the Improv teams playing here are of elite status. The atmosphere here is infectious. Everyone is so passionate about their craft. Jeff and his crew have plenty to be proud of in the space theyve created.Theyll also teach you Improv. Dont be afraid, its mostly painless.

I absolutely love this theater. This beats any trip down into the city for a short trip of funny and original improv. They have shows every Friday and Saturday night for only $8.00. They are also the only improv studio in Wheaton which is BYOB.

Westside Improv Studio has changed my life and can certainly do the same for you. If, by some chance, you dont need a life-changing experience then it can certainly improve your day by attending a show on Friday and/or Saturday night. There are so many fantastic teams to see and the best thing is that you will NEVER see the same show twice. Take that, network reruns. My new friends and I just finished our Level 1 Improv class with great fanfare...maybe that was just the dream I had last night. I recommend this class to everyone. EVERYone. Jeff is a tremendous teacher/guide. He took a group of rag-tag adventurers and made us into confident performers looking to get even better. If Improv sounds intimidating to you, Jeff will put you at ease in the first 15 minutes of your class. Do this, you Will not regret it.Come to Westside and say hello.

Love this place! My husband and I enjoy the city for shows, but its so nice to mix it up with this local place and frankly, weve been to shows here that have been better than some of the ones weve seen in the city! Stay awesome West Side!

It is a small & intimate place which is okay. However, my concern was that there was only one Entry & Exit. They were one & the same which could be a problem in the event of an emergency. The staff was nice!

Westside Improv is the best. Grab a six pack and come out for a show. Youll have a GREAT time. This place has an amazingly positive vibe, and its a lot more family friendly than improv studios in the city. Also an OUTSTANDING place to take a class. Owner Jeff Ash teaches the introductory 8-week class with charm, wisdom, and tremendous encouragement. Taking that class was one of the best decisions I ever made, and all my classmates would agree.Do yourself a favor and check out Westside Improv!

Such a fun and inexpensive night out! For $10 a ticket and BYOB the price cant be beat. Id highly suggest buying tickets ahead of time online because it is a small space and tends to sell out (or becomes standing room only). Bring your own cups or bottle opener too, if necessary.Student groups are often sandwiched between more polished professional groups. Suggestions are welcome to start a scene, but audience members are rarely brought on stage--youre there for the laughs, not to be the center of attention. Whew!A fun, inexpensive, unique night out out!

I signed up for Improv class to find some levity following a heavy/emotional job working with Human Trafficking Survivors. I not only found laughter, but also connection with myself and others that easily gets robbed from us in this tech-crazed society. Week after week we played and I was challenged to drop from my head to my heart in order to lead from that place of freedom (as children so readily do). I find this to be extremely difficult after becoming a mom with a multitude of responsibilities, plans, incessant repetitive questions, activities and more. Improv was a refreshing break to pause, live in the present and to merely show up. Sounds simple. It is and it isnt. The practice of presence in class helped to bring it out into the real world. You learn to show up with no expectations/judgements upon yourself and others. From there laughter arises and refreshes us as we engage with the absurdity of life. Jeff is an unbelievably gracious and compassionate leader! He gently held all of my doubts/insecurities and handed them back to me (without pressure) and with an encouraging belief that I could rise above and beyond all of those heady lies. When I did, courage bubbled up and awakened a part of me that has been asleep for way too long. If I didnt know any better, Id say Jeff is a therapist using Improv as a disguise! ;-) Saying YES, AND..... to this class will make you a better mom, daughter, wife, friend and person. Go for it!

The hidden gem of the west suburbs! Teachers on par with the best of The Second City and iO in Chicago. Everyone from the top down is so welcoming to newcomers. Wonderful shows for a reasonable price: $10 Friday and Saturday nights. Totally floored after making this discovery—only regret is, I wish I had gone sooner!

I took the intro Improv class last year--tons of fun. The instructor, Jeff Ash (who shamelessly wrote a 5-star Google review of this place--because hes funny!), is truly amazing. He will make any beginner feel comfortable and make Improv accessible. You will love it! The weekend shows are also a lot of fun, and the venue is electrifying. Its a great way to spend a Friday or Saturday night in downtown Wheaton.

Very good experience here! The first act or two are newer students honing their craft and at times more awkward than funny. By the time you get to the last act (who come before who I assume are the two owners/teachers/leads), you are hysterically laughing! Excellent value for the dollar ($10 tix) and BYOB is great. I will be back here again. They give the right vibe as you head into the basement and get seated. They completely sold out the place and it was a great improv atmosphere. A little surprised they did not query the audience more for input tell me an adjective that...
