Its a really cute, cozy place(inside at least). Food/pastry are decent with reasonable pricing. The outside seating area is run down and you can tell that that the level of care is just no longer there. Gave it 2 stars because of the terrible customer service. Having to take an order from a customer appears to be an inconvinience for the staff, so we wont be back.

I visited this cafe for the first time yesterday and the food was great. I love that its quirky, different, and colorful. Im giving it 2 stars because of the owner (assuming). The lady, both yesterday and todays visit, just seemed cold and not very friendly. After I ordered she told me to wait outside (instead of waiting in the seating area or anywhere else inside) and shed bring it to me. I have not encountered any other staff yet but hoping the others are more pleasant.

Great space! Well designed food and drink menus. And a supportive owner all make for a worthy community addition and one that should be supported.

The Nutella! Oh my gosh amazing. This place is adorable and reasonably priced with the most unique and amazing drinks. A must stop in if you are in the area - skip Starbucks.

The place looks very cute and fun, but the lady at the counter was extremely rude and completely unwelcoming. First time in the area and felt like maybe the people here had more manners and were more friendly than the rest of Marylanders who mostly lack general friendliness, but this lady was par for the course. If we werent hungry and in a hurry I would have just gone elsewhere. It was painful when the tip screen came up because you cant back out of it....but the only tip I wanted to give was have better customer service.

The only cool spot in downtown Westminster. If you’re too uptight, don’t come here. Their coffee is great and so was their food. Will be coming for sure!

The worst staff ever. I have never had a terrible experience with customer service until birdies cafe. Not only is the basic beverages you could make at home expensive but taste like gas station coffee. I don’t understand why they have 5 star reviews as Waffle House has better service. Don’t recommend just go to Dunkin’ ;)

I had never been to this place before. The food was good, but the lady *yelled* at me in front of other customer when I asked where I should leave the plates. I felt extremely uncomfortable...

Birdies is a fun, eccentric little coffee shop in downtown Westminster. The staff is friendly and familiar. We enjoy the sandwiches and breakfast faire. The coffee is also pretty good.

Inviting and cozy environment. Nice local place to relax with a coffee or tea or meet up with friends for lunch. I havent tried the food yet but the menu looked great. I look forward to taking my wife there for a quiet dinner. My 3 year old daughter and I were greeted very warmly and with respect. I also like that they openly support and celebrate the LGBT community.

I absolutely love this little gem in the heart of Westminster! Unique and eclectic, boutique-style cafe. Artsy, LGBT friendly with great food and amazing smoothies! The owner and staff are so down-to-earth and welcoming. Will return as often as possible!

The food was good. A black coffee took more than 5 minutes to be had. I feel like the owner(s) just may be past that give a dang phase in their ownership.

Either the reviews make it sound better than it is, or my experience was abnormal. The food was not anything particularly good or special, considering they were simple sandwiches that shouldn’t be that hard to mess up. Only one person at my table (out of four) enjoyed the sandwich they ordered. Their green tea, by far, is the worst drink they offer - it tasted like water with a dash of lemon and not an ounce of tea. Their spiced drinks, as well, are not impressive. They over-spice them terribly, so I advise ordering something a little less measurement dependent. The service, as well, is lacking. How the staff acts towards you makes you feel like you are inconveniencing them by entering their cafe. Overall, keep your expectations low and you won’t be disappointed.

Drinks are overpriced, sandwiches are burnt most of the time on one side and under cooked on the other. Most frustrating is owners are always rude

Laid back comfy vibe

Coffee is good, but the staff didnt make me feel welcomed at all. No smile offered.I sat outside to enjoy the cool weather and one of the employees came outside and lit a cigarette 5 feet from where I was sitting and started smoking.

My husband and I went for a date night. It was awesome. We had so much fun. It’s a very cool niche coffee shop. The chia tea wasn’t very hot, so make sure you ask that it’s extra hot. My husband taught me chess on their cool chess table. It was a blast. Highly recommend it!!!!

Great place, dont be in a rush. Come in for coffee bevs, simple good food. Parking can be a challenge when busy but worth the effort. Nice & easy shady walk on main street a few blocks up from the center of town. Lots of stores along the way ;-)

Not much of a menu. More of a coffee shop then breakfest shop. Sorry first and last time here. Ask for bacon on the sandwich they give you 1 piece. Over priced for what you get.

One of my favorite places for lunch in Westminster. Its great for a sandwich and a coffee based beverage. For me, thats the veggie sandwich with a chai beverage of some kind.The veggie sandwich is delicious. They never fail to accommodate me when I make a special request, like no tomatoes or cucumbers, and there are so many good choices for bread. Sourdough is perfect with the veggie sandwich.Sometimes I stop in just for a drink. An iced chai on a hot day or hot chocolate on a cold day. They even make their own whipped cream.There is a $5 minimum if paying by credit/debit card.Its eclectic and fun, but doesnt have a ton of seating. Usually not an issue to find a table though. Theres outdoor seating in the back when the weathers nice.A perfect weekday getaway from work!

This is a super cool coffee shop in Westminster. Really good coffee drinks. The atmosphere is amazing. They have some really nice local art. Couches and chairs. Also it is in this old house and they kept that charm going throughout. A must visit in the area.

Great place with a wonderful outdoor seating area behind the cafe. We were traveling through the area with our dog and having a place where he can go makes everything easier. The breakfast sandwiches and beverages were very good. Decor is top notch for a quirkty coffee shop.

Amazing service

The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The atmosphere was intimate with comfortable seating for a hang-out type setting. Also, the decor is eye-appealing and artistic. The choices were ample for hot beverages with accommodating finger foods.

Food was bland, tea served cold, and the bathroom was filthy. Atmosphere is totally cute and artsy promising of a great local coffee, but this place was sadly disappointing. Coffee was decent , however the egg sandwich had no flavor. They did fix the cold chai tea, however when it was served it was obvious that they had added cold milk to a hot tea. Overall I would not come back . What a shame it looked so cute .

This was my first time visiting Birdies Cafe. The experience was fabulous! I joined the Mah Jongg group that plays there. The artsy look, friendly staff, and yummy Rachel sandwich was the best! See you soon.

The owner is very fun, and the place is laid out so that you can relax in one of their big comfy chairs, work at a table, or even have a meeting of several people. Love it!

Birdies is absolutely FANTASTIC! Not only does Birdies offer incredible food and coffee, It has a beautiful creative an inspirational atmosphere. Its wonderfully conducive to imagination and creation. It has an air of almost whimsy. If you need some space to write a song, or finish a sketch, Birdies is the place to go. Wonderful atmosphere, and even more wonderful people. You will never find a frown behind the counter at Birdies. I highly recommend it!

It is fun and eclectic. It has a large coffee menu and a small food menu but with great interesting choices. I would go again.
