We hosted a walk-in birthday party for a seven year old here on a Wednesday evening. There were only two other families in the entire venue. The restaurant and play area were clean and the staff was attentive. No complaints here.

Gr8. Only a few of us in there due to social distancing. Very clean & staff were really nice. Love the fact that they are professionally following healthy procedures & guidelines to maintain a clean & healthy establishment. My nieces 10th birthday party was fun.

Very enjoyable place, great environment for a birthday! My little brothers have gone multiple times for them and was never disappointed!

Awesome place to take kids all ages and even the big kids(parents) lol. And not to expensive.

They got our order wrong we waited over 45 mins for our order and it was wrong. When i went to the counter to say something there was only one person working. He went and got the gm which took him over 20 min to even come out. When we was talking he was being rude kept saying i was getting loud w him which i wasnt i told him i could get loud though which then my husband stood up and was getting loud w him. He was not offering to fix our order insted proceeded to throw us out. We spent over 77 there and get the wrong food plus thrown out. This is unacceptable.

Amazing, but im still scared of the double As (audio animatronics for those of you who havent seen Tomorowland)

Pizza was AWESOME! My son had fun with the games too. During this pandemic things are a little different but I appriciate the effort of the staff to be helpful and explain my many questions. They were wonderful and so nice.Des Moines location thank you!

I really enjoyed it. The pizza was delicious and fresh. The games are fun for all ages and not expensive. I will be going back.

Fun you need a lot of tickets for something you want though or else its cheap junk

This is a great place for kids and adults alike. Its really fun to play and the prices arent too bad. We got the game cards so we could play unlimited games the entire time. The pizza was really good and would definitely go back just for that. If you can handle be over run by hoards of children this is a place to check out!

They did an excellent job in keeping social distancing with the customers and kept cleaning the entire time we were there!

I Had a great time with my son. The stuffed crust pepperoni pizza was the bomb. He said it was one of the best days of his life. Im just glad there was a place for him to have fun indoors on a cold winter day.

Its fun. Everytime I go with the family, especially my young Grandchildren, just keeping up with them brings back some of the old energy. Reminds me of being a kid again.

They took out the sky tubes and Im real sad about it. It will never be the same.

Not very busy because it is a weekday at around 1pm. They have kept the place very clean and the staff was very nice.

There Pizza is good in a weird way, there crust is so good it does not taste like normal crust...no.. it tastes play dough but in a good way. As for the sauce they only put on a little bit which makes it so amazing, you do not have pizza for the SAUCE you have it for the cheese and toppings. They blend together for the ultimate flavor combination as you wonder if you really want to tell your family that Chuck E. Cheese has your favorite pizza. And as for toppings they have the best sausage ever.. no joke Chuck E. Cheese has the best sausage pizza ever.“Hey Mom can we have pizza for dinner.”“Sure, from where?”“Umm............Chuck E. Fun for kids, little overpriced but worth it for kids.

First time there with my family. I husband have been going to Chuck E. Cheeses since he was little and he said the place since look the same. Our boy is 2.5years old and love love it there and we plan on celebrating his birthday there year year.

Great pizza, kids loved the experience, staff isnt the best but hey its a kids fun house. It was packed with kids & THEY didnt mind the lame service.

A wonderful 6th birthday party. We went it without the actual party package. We only had 3 kids and it was a weekday. Still got the chuck e cheese cake and decided on the unlimited play option. The kids get to go crazy and love the unlimited idea. I think it is roughly the same price but a ton easier than constantly worrying about refilling there cards. Also learned you do have the option to pause your time ONCE when your food arrives or to take a break for presents and then you can start back up with your remaining time.

For a party we had to wait a while for adult drinks. I bought a package that said a pizza for the adults and had to pay extra for them because they said they didnt, yet the website clearly states it doesI feel if you have a party there and spend $400 our kids shouldnt have to wait to cash tickets in.

The packages were overall highly priced for the activities they have to offer-my ultimate birthday package ordered for 10 kids, 8 adults w/unlimited play pass for 2 hrs was over $300,the games were limited as well as many parts of the play areas,chuck e cheese is filing bankruptcies across Iowa and this is just a brief glimpse of price gouging by them!

Took my son for the day just because. I love their new purchase of time rather than of credit. My son enjoyed the pizza and the staff was very friendly.

Not expensive. And with time cards you can pauseIt helps you to have your kids take a break to eat or calm down with out wasting the play time. P.s pizza needs work. Better than before? YesBut better doesnt mean good. Sorry but little ceasers is better.

Do not take your kids here unless you want them to be around rude and disrespectful employees who don’t care if they cuss around your children. The disrespect and non caring attitudes of the employees and management is astounding. Definitely stay away from this very Unsanitary place they say is for children.

We were there for my grandson birthday party and there was three other groups there . Chuck E just ignore are group. We had a lot of said kids. If you do one you do for all. My husband ask a person that was working and said she would check on it she never got back to is. We will not come there again.

We had a joint birthday party for two of my Grandkids. They loved the music. The pizza was great and the loved play pretend band on stage. It was a real good time and the price for everything was way cheaper than a lot of other places my daughter checked into. My daughter has six children and you have to budget that party in or it wont happen and she did a wonderful job pulling all together.

I never thought Id say this but Chuck E Cheese is back! As a kid I enjoyed days at Chuck E Cheese. The games were cool, the show was fun; it was great. Chuck E Cheese went into decline for a few years, was gross and the patrons were on the rough side. Im happy to say that under the new corporate management, Chuck E Cheese is once again a great place to take kids. The rest rooms and game area were clean, the food was pretty good, the staff was on top of crowd control and the clientele was once again more family friendly. If you watch Groupon of the Chuck E Cheese website, you can get some great deals on tokens too.

Kids LOVED it! Not gonna lie the condition of the singing robots were a little worse for wear. Just dont let the kids get too close and you wont be creeped out at a distance. Ice cream vending machine might be a little too cold. Pizza was bomb. Games were great!

I have never been to Chuck E Cheese before in my 38 years on this Earth, and the hype was real. It is pure, unadulterated chaos and the animatronics were terrifying, but the kids loved it and thats the most important part.

Great time was had by all of us. Had 2 adults and 4 children. Ages 2, 4, 4, and 5. They loved all the games and pkay area. Enjoyed the pizza and treats.

Oh my GOSH!!!!!!! This place ROCKS!!! great games, great food, great coffee, SUPER AMAZING STAFF !!!!!!I had never been to a Chuck E Cheese, and so my Husband suggested that we go to celebrate after getting wonderful news(we had been working for it all year) from the Dr about our sons feet (he was born with Clubfeet)........and oh WOW!!!! The people there were just FANTASTIC and FANTASTIC TO MY SON!!!!! My 3 & a half year old LOVED IT(he didnt want to leave after almost 4 hours)!! My husband LOVED IT, and I loved it!!!!!!!We are going back as soooooon as we can!If I could give 10 stars, I would!!!

They usually do a great job with our birthday parties. The host this time was a little less than stellar, he just wasnt very present.

Fun games, decent pizza, and a few beer options. I paid $37 for a Blue Moon, two sprites, two-topping personal sized pizza, and an hour of play time. Not too bad!Could use some hand sanitizer stations around the area though. The staff was fairly friendly. No complaints, but no shout outs either except maybe for the maintenance guy walking around. He was really nice and prompt on checking the games.

To start off, service is terrible. 3 guys standing at counter, and paying both attention. Had to tell to get attention and then dude was super rude. Get to table, and it was gross. Had to get towel to wipe down as they couldnt be bothered. Sat here for hour and half while kids played and there are 3 tables covered with trash and they never came to clear them. Terrible experience.

Weve hosted our sons birthday party here two years in a row. It is exceptionally clean and well-managed. The staff is attentive and fun. All the games have always been working. The people at the ticket-redemption counter even round up on occasion (if we have 70 tickets, theyll let us get a 75-ticket prize).Really, I think the perception of Chuck E. Cheese is that its run-down and dirty. This place is not at all. The pizza is actually pretty good, too.I never thought Id be making time to write a review for Chuck E. Cheese but this place is so good that I wanted to spread the word.

This is not the place to go to have fun with your kids half the games are closed.all of the to player games are closed.we where bored in twenty minutes or less.six months ago we playing for 4 hours and had a blast but this time wuss a total waist of money

My sons really enjoy themselves every time we come. I would have given it 5 stars but the games need to be rotated more often. It would be nice to see different options once in a while. I am sure we will come less and less often unless different games start getting introduced but all in all a nice experience. I will have to say this review does not take into account their food as I have never eaten there before.

Good place to burn 60 bucks on kids games. The pizza is much better than the last time I was here 20 years ago. Upgraded games. Fun!

For $10 you get 30min of play time. Took my 2 boys and we had the best time.

I wasnt at Chucky Cheese, but you would know that if you were really google maps. NSA get your poop in a group, I was actually at Jays CD and Hobby. I love Jays CD and Hobby. Jays gets 5 stars.

Chaotic (expected) yet fun birthday experience for our son. Staff was good, food was good, good security at the door to protect kids. A little pricey for a birthday, but they take care of everything. I guess you cant put a price on the experience of dancing with a life sized rodent.

After 100 different plays.. we won enough tickets for a slinky...... overall fun time... just impossible to come up on some good prizes.. youd have to pay over 100 bucks to win something semi cool... still my daughter and I had a good time

Way over priced and workers seem to just want to talk and not work. Took over an hour for a pizza and they werent busy.

Nice staff. My kids were very happy and entertained the whole time we were there. They were ready for us when we showed up. A staff member ran around helping with any machine issues, he was always around. Another staff member ran around with a play card helping kids start the games. It was a good birthday party, we will return.

Very friendly. Employees were very helpful in telling us how everything works (it was our first time here). Pizza was much better then expected was the quality of a actually pizza restaurant. Really liked their crust. Games all were in good condition and the card system works so easy to play games. The manager was very nice. Will be back soon

All the tables were dirty. Found a table that was cleared not cleaned. Sat down to eat with my family and a team member asked us to move. Not because the table was reserved for a party but the manager wanted to close the section. The team member cleared a table for us . Helped us move and said sorry many times. Then seen the manager who sent a team member to move us so he could close the section telling at the same team member for not completing cleaning task in that closed section. The manager on Sunday night in west Des Moines was a real jerk. I give it two stars due to the team member. I am sure your dream job is not a manager of a chucky cheese but being a good human is always a good choice.

Pizza was great. Kids had fun. Didnt get to use all of the points on our card and they didnt give us anything for those points. It is what it is. My kids do want to go back. They wanted to go back the next day. Lol!

This was a fail from the beginning to end and ordered a big platter of hot wings half barbecue half buffalo came out all barbecue brought it to their attention they did nothing about it they said next time they will try to be more careful with other customers how is that helping me no Ice tea it’s out no lemonade out no ice empty trash overflowing seriously I spent $100 I would I would’ve been better off taking my family to a nice restaurant having a steak unprofessional people I will never go back to that barfi restaurant again

I hate this place. It is overpriced, loud, and obnoxious. BUT the kids loved it and had a blast.

As far as Chuck E. Cheese’s go this one is about average. The kids have fun but it is not quite as I remember it. There is a good variety of games and the food is fast, but it lacks the magic that it used to have when I was younger. The staff was helpful and the food was good. For children this is an expensive, yet entertaining place.

I was disappointed they got rid of the lunch pizza buffet. And some of the fun games my kids played last time were replaced with new games. It was ok...they definitely need to clean. The drink area smells bad. Employees were helpful.

If you have not been in the last few years, give it another shot if you got a little one. The food is better, and the time-based gaming works a lot better than token-based.

Fun place for kids. The pizza is edible. They got our order wrong, but they came clean on their own and made it right. I appreciate the security measures they take to protect kids. An overall pleasant experience.

I wouldn’t give them a whole star but couldn’t do 1/2. Couldn’t get balloons we ordered, wanted a Barbie cake but the ran out so ended up with hello kitty and then when it came time to cut the cake, they couldn’t find the knife to cut it. Not good at all.

The only reason they are even getting 3 stars is because my kids had fun and they fixed it, sort of (I mean come on, half of the point of having a party at Chuck E Cheese is so most of the stress is on their shoulders, not yours!). We had a party there. They didnt bring us enough play passes, they brought the wrong pizza, they brought the wrong cake, they took away souvenir cups, and I had to search out the employees and argue with them! I will not have another birthday party there for a long time.To be fair, they didnt charge me for the cake and they did fix the pizza and play pass, but I ended up being more stressed than I would have if I had done the party myself. I am so disappointed.

The employees are so nice and kind especially to the children. Fun place. Drinks are way too expensive.

A place that I have very fond memories of from my childhood, which is why Ive taken my daughter there for her two birthdays thus far. She has a blast (obviously, shes 2). However, like most things, its just not quite the same as it used to be. I wouldnt say there is anything really wrong with the place, but it has gone slightly downhill from years past, and has certainly not kept up with similar places that Ive been to since becoming a parent. Still, it is fun, just not 5 stars fun. The pizza is REALLY good though!!! If I was rating on the pizza alone, it would be 5 stars. The rest of the place is 3-4 stars at best.

Its very easy to go through a lot of money really fast, and its difficult to get prizes much better than a pencil or fake vampire teeth.

Better start saving up now if you intend to visit anytime soon!

Staff should walk right by you when you try to all them something. A lot of machines not working. Took forever to get our food ordered because the staff sat there talking to each other and ignoring the guest. All of the tables were dirty so we had to clean one ourselves. The only thing that made my nieces birthday worth while being there was who ever made the pizza, amazing!

Nightmare. Dont go unless you have kids and take a Xanax beforehand. I died inside the whole time.

The bathrooms were disgusting . There was a lack of service due to a lack of employees behind the counter. We almost walked out because it was taking so long to get our tokens. I am pretty laxed about the cleanliness of the lobby because there are so many kids but to only have one poor soul picking up stuff is a terrible policy. We had fun, but the overall experience could have been better.

Food was good, need to lower award points so kids can buy merchandise with their tickets
