So nice to get back to seeing movies in a theater. New releases and classics being shown in a COVID-safe manner. The app is great and makes it convenient to earn rewards.

Back open for business. The Comeback Classics are a lot of fun. Not many people for A Saturday matinee, so I felt sufficiently social distanced. Coffee bar is not open, but beer and concessions are.

I feel like the only way to watch a movie in the theater is to have the XD experience. Even when you are sitting next to a stranger, there is plenty of space in your reclining chair, which makes it almost feel like you are at home. Whenever there is a new release that I want to see, I make sure it is available in the XD theater before I watch it... The comfort aspect is fantastic and makes the entire movie experience that much better. Aside from that, the staff is always helpful, the theater always seems clean enough, and they always have my favorite snacks at the concessions... whats not to love?

Great Theater and Staff! I can agree with past reviews, being the first time to this theater navigating the concessions without the help from the staff is challenging. After asking the staff it was much easier to navigate.Ended up going to a late night movie and agree that the popcorn consisted of more hulls and broken chaff. Just chalked this up to going to a late night movie.Overall it was still a great experience! and would recommend this theater as it was very clean and well kept!

Havent been here in a while, since there are several better options around. Gave it a shot, and the seats were surprisingly comfortable. I enjoyed the reclining feature, and the seating area was clean. That said, the popcorn was very obviously stale. I know food and drinks are the primary profit driver for theaters, and thats ok! It costs so little for them to get mass quantities, but for that exact reason you really need to give people fresh popcorn. $10 for day old popcorn that sat under a heat lamp is not a satisfying treat by any stretch of the imagination.

Second tier theater after Flix and Palms, but still very good.

Great theater! The seats are designed so your view is never interrupted, and very comfortable. Went to an early morning showing on a Sunday and they have bagels!

It had been quite a while since I had been out to Jordan Creek for any reason, but I had family in town and they wanted to go see a movie out at the areas best mall and theater. Had a really great time, love the wide selection of concession options and even though the prices are of course a bit on the high side, theyre not nearly as bad as they could be. Really enjoyed myself and look forward to going back another time.

Luxurious and great selection of movies. A bit pricey, but good discount for kids and seniors. We really appreciate that they do Metopera HD simulcasts and hand out synopses. Service and sales quick and you can select seats beforehand.

We come here once a month usually for a date night and love the theater and comfortable seating. Customer service is great and prices are better with the discount we receive for being members.

I have not been here in a long time. I like that the seats have been updated. I hate the confusing concessions. Cups in one spot, drink fountain in a different spot. I was turning around in circles looking for stuff!!!!!Hard to read price boards, hard to read for old people!!!!!!Popcorn-HATE ALL THE HULLS THAT STICK BETWEEN MY TEETH!!!!!!!I got a coffee,something Dolce Cinnamon--not that good,will not get it again!!!!!!I USED TO LOVE THIS THEATRE--I only LIKE it now

Good place. The staff tend to be sitting around chatting and we feel awkward trying to order or give our tickets. Ive overhead some pretty inappropriate conversations as well. Seats are nice but not as good as the one in Ankeny or the new theater in Waukee.

Not a bad theater.... All new seats and screens.... Concessions are a little confusing..... They also charge you highest ticket prices they can, even if you go to a matinee because they claim a premium experience fee if the movie is showed where the nicer seats are.... Seems like a scam but o well

Ive seen a few movies here, and have enjoyed the accommodations each time. The seats are very comfortable (especially reclined), tickets are affordable, and the employees are helpful and attentive. The snacks are priced comparable to other theaters, but the popcorn was good and they have the high tech select-your-own-Coke machines that I like SO much. I have this theater currently selected as my favorite (in Des Moines area) for my Fandango account.

Would expect better service and cleaner bathrooms. Staff all seemed pretty angry with life in general, one ladys attitude (where we got our tickets) made my daughter cry because she practically threw the stuff we were buying over the counter at us. For what they charge they should definitely be able to pay for good employees.

Comfortable and clean. Also wasnt too hot or cold. Recliners are great especially for 2+ hr movies!

I was impressed with the sound quality, the screen was full with fewer people than other theatres, it was $10 and change for a Sunday 6pm movie. I liked this place 10/10

Definitely try their DBOX sitting for a movie, (lil expensive) but one of the most fun experiences i had while watching a movie.

This place is usually busy, so get there early. But it is a great theater with wonderful screens, crystal sound, and the dbox seats are amazing!

This review is going to be a little odd but here goes.. i highly recommend the XD theater not only for the large screen and awesome seats but if you pick a seat in the back row at the top of the theater there is a door you can go out and there is a set of stairs that goes down to the main level and exits near the consession area and bathroom. When you are done you just go back up that stair case and you are back at your seat without having to walk into the theater and up the stadium stairs.. it is a short cut that saves you time and miss less of your movie.

Thats courteous friendly employees. Soft comfortable chairs you can put your feet up and recline which helps me as I have bad feet and legs. Popcorn is always good. They have good prices competitive prices.

Palm Theatres has become my new favorite in the DSM area. However, with the new upgrades at Century 20, they are a close 2nd or 3rd with the other being B&B Theatres Ankeny 12 & B-Roll Bowling. The customer service is always awesome and that many screens provides a lot of options for movies and movie times. Fun Fact: I learned recently that most theatres dont really care if you bring outside food/drink. You still might want to double check to make sure but I havent had to conceal food/drink at any of the above yet. Just yesterday i went to C20 with a K&G coffee and filled my water bottle up with water at the coke machine/concession stand. Employee watched and didnt comment at all.

The theater was comfortable. The screen crisp. The concessions were overpriced for the quality; popcorn so dry, butter didnt help! Wine and alcohol sold with ice cream and coffee versus in an area prone to adults.

It has honestly been a long time since I’ve been to this place, but they are really over the top with their prices compared to what you get, i.e. the value for what you buy. They’re honestly already starting to lose business from the new location in Altoona, which has taken off. The layout is not great for the size and location they have either...They have it set up to herd people in, and get them at the door, making it extremely uncomfortable and cramped. This includes where you walk up to the main entrance, which is very narrow for such a high traffic area, and it’s honestly one of the worst places for this problem within Jordan Creek, which just doesn’t make sense to me, since they are catering to larger number of customers per day than other places within the mall.It’s not that it’s a bad movie theater, but other places have started to take over, with the greater luxury/comfort you pay for, and all around better theater experience.However, the customer service is really great.Even for the younger, sometimes more inexperienced employees and staff, they still do very well, and I’ve never had a single bad encounter when it comes to that. Their snacks and soda station have a great selection, and the arcade area is fun, unfortunately due to it being a high-traffic area, it can get kind of gross and dirty pretty fast. Same goes for the bathrooms, but again, the employees really do a great job and do the best they can to keep up on everything, as I always see them sweeping and cleaning.

Theres always a great selection of movies through out the day, but a little pricey. Just remember, cheap Tuesday.

The security is very weak. My personal stuff got stolen from my car and they are not able to do anything. The security told me that I am the third person that happened this incident. Therefore I highly suggest to park your car where camera can see your car clearly. DO NOT PARK IN THE MIDDLE of the parking lot!

The Palms has blown this place out of the water. The quality of the sound is good enough, but its very far behind in terms of innovation.

Fantastic power rrecliners with so much leg room. The days of having to stand when someone needed to get past you is gone. Very well designed food and beverage area. Serves cocktails, too. Huge ticket counter with no glass between you and staff. Assigned seats are AWESOME! Especially for people visiting alone. Can go to restroom without losing seat and can show up close to start time and still get the great seat you selected earlier. Always spotless restrooms. Staff works very fast to clean theaters after film so we can sit down quickly. Only downfall is long walk from your car.

One of the better movie theaters in town and at the best shopping mall too! Recliner seats were a recent addition. Pretty wide selection of hot drinks but other than that its your standard movie fare. Good place for a quick movie after shopping !

Great experience w seating and theater in general. Very clean. The tasty hot dog i had was fresh and the bun steamy. Just seen Crazy Rich Asians, my new favorite movie of recent years. Relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere. Worth your time!

Good movie theater that is starting to show its age. Would recommend Flix Brewhouse or the Waukee IMAX before this one.

I like this movie theater, the seats recline back, and you have kettle popcorn as one of the choices of popcorn. The sound was great, the picture was great too.

I love this theater. The D Box experience was great! But arent you sick of movie theater prices! For two people the price was 41 dollars for the D Box. That is insane, Im only going to do it once. Dont even get me started on the price of drinks and food, the price here are nuts, bring in your own.

This place is awsome. Power recline seats. Beer on tap. Can add as much butter as you want your popcorn and the xp movie experience is awsome.

I wish I could have gave this four and a half Stars because I really did like this theater and the concept the d-box is incredible. But the truth is the seats just in move enough for me. I guess I was looking for the extreme version of this nevertheless the movie was good the concert was great and I had a good time

Gets busy fast. A lot of good stuff to grab to eat and drink for a good movie, even has a mini Starbucks to get a drink if u enjoy coffee. Pretty fast to get through lines. They keep the theaters clean and clean up between each movie. The chairs are reclinable so u can lay back and relax. U also get assigned seats so you dont have to figure out where u go

Amazing theater. Tuesday’s are discount days. Lots of options for people to choose from. Didn’t know how I would like the “choose your seat” option but definitely a nice touch. Also, the reclining chairs give the right amount of comfort! Clean and still looks brand new even though it is a few years old. Definitely a top theater in the area.

Love the newer reclining seats, and how open and spacious the theater felt. It was also nice to be able to purchase tickets in advance and pick our seats online.

One of the best theaters in Iowa hands down. Its a bit more expensive, but worth it for the luxurious recliner seats. I also like the plethora of soda options and the option to buy candy by the pound. It gets super busy on the weekends, so I suggest buying tickets in advance, as they often sell out.

Very nice theatre with recliner seats. They show lots of movies and have the XD theatre. It is very convenient as they are connected to the mall and allow food court food inside which is always a win. Popcorn is good as well.

We took our grandkids to see Mary Poppins Returns. It was nice to have reserved seats so that we could arrive when the movie started and not have the little kids sit through the previews. The movie was excellent and the seats are very comfortable. Of course, like most theaters, the concessions are over priced.

Pretty great theater. They have very comfortable reclining seats and the rows are high enough that if someone sits in front of you then you can still see over them. I can see how it would be difficult to get a good seat without reserving in advance. Keep in mind reserving via online will cost an extra $2. So far Ive lucked out in getting good seats just walking in and seeing what they have.

Comfy seats. Friendly faces. My parents and I bought and reserved our seats online. They seem to play the movies a little too loud here. And their concession stand is overpriced. 3 561ml smart waters was just under $15, this isnt even a liter bottle, I can get these at a gas station or grocery store for half the price. They also have a bag and purse policy in place now because people have been bringing their own food and drinks in.

Prices are better than I expected and the newer recliners are nice. Though, last move I went to a kid kept messing with his chair and you could hear the motor throughout the movie. Buying tickets online is nice and fast. When you get them online, you can pick up tickets at the front registers, a kiosk, or go straight to the ticket taker and theyll scan your phone. So thats nice.
