The service was excellent, theater was comfy and CLEAN. Everyone and everything was properly socially distanced, etc. We had a wonderful family date night!!! Love Cinema Cafe Pembroke. The recliners are super comfy and the food is awesome. We had the pizza combo and chicken tenders & fries. Yummy! Service is great and the price is pretty fair. Its our favorite place for a night out.

Staff are awesome! Seating is laid out flat not at an incline so if you are not 59+ you are gonna lose some screen in some seats.Also popcorn was stale. Not a biggie but definitely a Boo.

I picked this place for the super cozy seats which never disappoint, and the popcorn, but I had no idea that the pizza would be that delicious!! Seriously, no idea! If you plan to go, order your tickets online as soon as you can so you can pick the seats you want. We went as a last minute decision and had slim pickings 30 min before showtime. Once the seats were reclined and the movie started, I forgot all about the poor seat selection. So, youll be fine either way.

Man their upgrades really bring this place down in my book. A while ago they went from older, discounted movies to new movies, fine. Now they did away with their table seating and service to a recliner theater style. They didnt slope the floor enough so that it was difficult to see the movie. My kids had to sit on their knees and I almost did too. Their food was good as I remember, very under-rated pizza and chicken tenders I think are really good. Sadly we ordered the combo, pizza popcorn and drinks, and couldnt fit most of it on our little airplane style arm tables they now have. They had to bring an floor ice bucket to hold the pizza. I wont be returning.

Our experience today was horrible with our waitress. Christine is truly in need of refresher training or she doesnt need to work serving customers! She is consistent because this is the 2nd time and months apart that we have had her as a server. Both times were bad. She takes your order and then almost an hour goes by before you get your food. We arrived 20 minutes before the movie today and watched all the previews and 35 minutes of the movie before getting food. When you push the button for service she does not come out to assist or advise why the delay. Isnt that part of the job as a waitress? And when giving us our change she cheated us. After the movie was over we spoke with the manager. He offered us passes and we declined because thats truly not what its about for me and my husband. Its treating the customer with pride and professionalism. You never know who you are serving so do your best each time. If she has repeatedly served us poorly within months apart visits then she is consistently not doing her job and thats UNACCEPTABLE.

The food and seats were great but I think the theater would benefit from timing the deliveries of food better. Or limiting when you can place your food order.I went to see the last Star Wars there and the delivery of our order made us miss the opening credits crawl. Several times we were checked on (which is appreciated) during the climatic action scenes. The bill was delivered right during an emotional scene towards the end and really made it difficult to be invested in the story I was watching.Overall, the food, drink, seating, and staff were great. I think will a little tweaking on the timing of food delivery this place could be perfect.

Great seating with reclining leather chairs and a swivel table available per seat so that you can have your meal right in front of you. Delicious items on the menu and good choices in terms of what movies to show due to limited number of theaters. Great service to top it all off.

Really affordable for my wife and I. We had a day date with snacks and drinks and total with tip was less than a meal somewhere else. The chairs are comfortable and fully recline. The only issue was some of the servers were loud when interacting with other patrons which takes away from the movie.

Excellent customer service from the purchase tickets to the waitresses/waiters. Food is always hot and delicious. Great environment for parents with little kids. Seats are extra comfy too. Never too crowded. Its our go to movie theater.

Didnt think I would like the assigned seats but its nice knowing where Ill be sitting. I go so often that most the staff know me and what I like to eat & drink. Even make suggestions if Im willing to try something new.

We loved the Cinema Cafe before they remodeled, but now we dont want to go anywhere else. The Cinema Cafe is the best movie theatre in Virginia Beach. The chairs are awesome, the food is great, and they are they only place you dont have to bring your own beer.

Theater 3 is awesome. Spacious reclining chairs, good enough food, great cup of coffee. No cramped theater here! Being comfortable enhances movie experience.

My husband and I drove 30 minutes to get to this theater and it was well worth it! I doubt we will go to any other theater now. The staff was super friendly! The place was clean, the seats are very comfortable and they recline back. They had a large drink menu with creative cocktails. Food was average but the staff/server was super attentive and friendly. They definitely need more craft beer but besides that, not one complaint!!

The seating at this cinema cafe is nice. Everyone has their own recliner chair with a foot rest that can be put up or down at the push of a button. The staff was nice when we went. Like any other cinema cafe the servers come while the movie is playing, so just make sure you are alright with that if you are planning to go, it is not much of a distraction and they are understanding so it is not a big deal. It is located in a strip mall and is not a stand alone location like many other cinema cafe locations. The lobby could use a bit of an update and the outside area a bit of a clean, but other than that it is a great place to go an watch a movie. I would recommend this place.

This is not the Cinema Cafe you may remember from the past. They have renovated each of their theaters to have those awesomely comfy recliners and little tables that you can swivel to you.The food? Just as you would expect at a Cinema Cafe. Great quality. And superb servers throughout the movie.We love this Cinema Cafe. Its well worth the trip to see the movie youve been hoping to.

I love Cinema Cafe. The staff is very nice and the price is economical. I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because the chairs are not that comfortable at reclining. There is this bump or weird wood piece that pushes out from inside the seat onto your back while reclining on your chair. I dont know how to best describe this.

Love to take the family here. They have a full menu so you can kill two birds with one stone and do both dinner and a movie here. They have recliners and you purchase your actual seat. Service has always been good. Food is decent.

This is a very comfy/cozy Cinema Cafe to watch a movie with your partner or your kids. The food is awesome. The drinks excellent. The theater has graduated seating where you wont find some big guy in front of you or someone with big hair blocking your view. The service is very good. The chairs make it a very comfortable movie experience.

The manager, Daniel was INCREDIBLY kind and provided us with passes to a future show. Cody, at the desk was pleasant and great as well. I realize the theatre lost money last night, while our five seats sat empty. Really appreciate the kind treatment. Cinema Cafe continues to be our favorite place to view movies!!!!

Went to go see the last avengers movie and waited nearly 2 hours to receive my food after I told the staff no onions,they still managed to cut about 2 onions worth and spread them sparingly over my pizza. The theater was nice though. I love the recliners.

I had every intention on reclining and to take a quick nap (this venture was for my 6yr old daughter and I was exhausted) but I ended up watching AND actually enjoying the movie!

Went to see toy story 2 weeks ago. The theater itself is alright. The review is mostly for our server. If I remember correctly his name was Phillip? He provided great service and was super friendly. Made sure we had a great time without being invasive while we were enjoying the movie. Definitely the best server we’ve had since we’ve been visiting this location.

I love bringing my family to this theater. Youll want to order tickets online and reserve your seats ahead of time. I think they did renovations within the last 5 years and it shows. The place is immaculate, bright, inviting, relaxed, and there is no old theater smell. You know what I mean. It doesnt smell like stale popcorn and butter mixed with beer and coke. There is plenty of room and comfort for the 4 of us. The seats recline and are actually quite comfortable. Beach Cinema Alehouse has a similar setup but the seats arent very comfortable and you have to leave the theater if you want any food or drinks after you place your initial order. The food is pretty good at Cinema Cafe. I usually order the Kevin Bacon burger but the big, juicy chicken tenders are good as well. Their crinkle cut fries are some of the best Ive ever had and they give you a good amount. If youre a ketchup lover like me, make sure you ask for extra. Oh, if you like to drink, they have a full service bar and the drinks are not watered down. I usually have a beer or two, but I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea once and that was all I needed. It packed a serious punch.The only drawback is that because of the new, wide recliners, you can only get about 6 or 7 seats together on each side of the aisle. If you have a huge party, youll have to get a little creative in figuring out seating arrangements. Their sister theater, Kempsriver Cinema Cafe, hasnt had the renovations yet and has much more seating because they have office chair seats and multiple smaller tables. And they have that old theater smell. Another thing is that I would like to see new items, even if only for a limited time. In their defense, the did add the bruschetta. I think its great but its not for everybody. Some of the fried products and the mini pretzels could be better.Well, I hope that helps someone make an informed decision. Overall, I love the place and I think its great. No long lines and no waiting for long. Its small, quiet, and easy.

Usually this is a good cinema. The recliners are starting to get old and uncomfortable. Ordered pretzels at the last show of the night. One was soft. The other two were so hard they must have been under the heat lamp from earlier in the week. Sounded like one of the speakers was blown. It was only noticable when there were quite parts of the movie.

Went to see Star Wars theater is great and so was our waiter. I am giving a 3 for the food popcorn was very bland and pizza was mainly crust very disappointed.

The movie Angel has Fallen was a really great movie. The food was good.The recliner seats was very uncomfortable. The bottom of the back of the seat what made them uncomfortable. The board at the bottom was hitting my lower back and by the time the movie was over my back hurt bad. I even moved to the seat next to mine and it was doing the same to my back. I told the waitress about why I moved to the next seat she said that was fine. Cause she knows the seats are very uncomfortable.The seats are the reason Im giving a 3 star rating.

Saw Avengers Endgame here and this is definitely the best way to see the movie. The chairs are fully reclining electric leather seats. The seat was so comfortable and for a 3+ hour movie this was great. The pizza and popcorn were surprisingly delicious, and the beer was cold. The waitstaff was amazing.

I take my kids here to watch movies and I wouldnt want to go anywhere else. Its clean and has good food that you can order when you sit down and eat at the table youre sitting at. The chairs are leather and recline.

New assigned recliner seating (reminded me of flying first class) is much better than the old way Cinema Cafe used to be. Seats have head, back and foot adjustments. Backs only recline to a max of 45°, which isnt as good as Regal Strawbridge, but having a tray table makes up for that as the ease of eating is much improved. Good prices for eating at a theater, honestly. Expect about $50 for an appetizer, meal, and dessert for two. Enclosed photo shows seat adjuster, which includes two USB ports for charging devices.Second visit, different theater section. Seats in this section recline, but dont have head adjustments or charging ports on the seats. Theyre comfortable, but it would be much better if all theatres had the upgraded seating. Dropped my rating to a four.

This is my go to movie spot. The food is always good and the staff is nice. Ive never been here and the theater not be clean. Its also some of the best movie prices around. Last year they remodeled the place and now have the most comfortable seats around. You can pick your seat when purchasing your ticket so you know before hand whether your going to get a prime seat. Ive sat in almost every location and always a good view for me. Highly recommend this place for all your movie needs.

Best cinema cafe in the area, most others always have problems with either the screen, speakers, or the staff. But this one never has any issues. 4 star because the seats can use an upgrade.

Nowadays, with the upgraded seating, and configuration, and say the least of their Professional Service, we will continue to keep coming here time and time again. The price is reasonable, the food very comfortable, and just a great place for you and the family to enjoy current movie.

This is my go to theater most times. Prices are very cheap and the service is decent. Some of the recliners are worn and can be a little uncomfortable but they are STILL better than the traditional theater seating.

The reason Im changing my rating from a 4 to a 2 is because honestly after ordering a big meal for just my nephew and I.. then stuck with not having enough room to place everything..it totally sucked! I miss the old design! Then the pizza I ordered was supposed to be half sausage and half cheese. I felt like it was more sausage and my half cheese note was ignored. Well I am a vegetarian and pescatarian. Normally I would flip if meat was touching my food but today I was expecting that,[duha fast food]but to have two or more on my cheese slices to pick off was horrible. I hate having to do that. But the waitress came over once and I told her about the situation because she asked how the food was. Well of course I said no and told her why. Her response was, I dont cook it and walked away. She gave me no other options. I kinda feel like cinema cafe really isnt the place for me anymore.

For once I enjoyed a movie without the volume at a level that was uncomfortable. And no, Im not that old.
