Love, love, love this place. The music, the atmosphere, the food and drinks! Classy and sophisticated. Awesome exclusive cigar club upstairs. I frequent this place and always bring friends/family when they visit the area. Dana (the owner) is a gentleman, a social entrepreneurial genius and a lover of live music. Proceeds from his business directly supports live music and promotes the artistic talent of musicians throughout VA. Highly recommended! Awesome date night.

Love the atmosphere. This is definitely an adult, date night, type of place. Kids in the restaurant would absolutely ruin the ambiance for the adults. The jazz bar is A MUST, with great acoustics. Do not skip dessert: best bread pudding in town.

The only reason it didnt get a 3 out of 3 has to do with the fact the food is not authentic Cuban food. Its Americanized, and extremely expensive. If you want the best Cuban food in the area then go to either Mojito Cafe or Lolas Caribbean Restaurant.The reasons why you would come to Havana Nights are for the experience, the amazing Jazz, the awesome service, the great (non-authentic) Americanized Cuban food, the wine, and the private cigar lounge upstairs.I recommend getting to the Jazz Club early, as seats fill up!

Pro: Food was well prepared with good flavorCons:1. Front end hostesses profile would be diners. They do not want to come out and say it but they are definitely Anti-children. At lunch time, we were told the empty dining room was unavailable, only the cigar bar was open. This seemed a transparent ploy, knowing we were unlikely to take children in there.2. My wife felt uncomfortable on the second attempt. She said it seemed they were profiling her citing one hostess was looking at her attire disapprovingly in a condescending fashion.3. The waiter was courteous but checked on us too frequently to have an intimate meal. Another waiter came over boasting about one of our dishes chatting us up... not appropriate.The food at Havana Nights was very good. Drinks are overpriced. Service of the wait staff was ok but the front room staff are horrible, bordering on biggotted snobs. Even at lunch this place is overtly anti-family. Good food does not make up for the poor front end service. One Star for the overall experience.
