I metal detect 3-5 days a week for years here on the treasure coast. I was detecting basically in a tide pool. The law is that you can detect from the foot of the dune, to the mean low tide line. With the full moon, wind, and storm, the tide was kept in very far, very little beach showing. One of the lifeguards who had been collecting shells the whole time I was there, decided to try to discourage me from metal detecting, telling me that I could get in trouble for doing so where I was. Then he also told me that he has worked there for years, and that where the tide was then, is the normal low tide line. I have lived here for over 10 years, and am at the beach pretty much daily. I guess I was infringing on the area he likes to detect. This is all aside the fact that I have permission to detect the surf in Vero from the company that has the lease rights to the area. I left there for the day, but plan to go back with the owner of the company that has the lease rights, and see if it happens again. I was not even looking for shipwreck treasure, I was looking for an engagement ring that had been lost there last week, so I could hopefully reunite the rightful owner with it.

Probably some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. This place was so delicious it would be a crime not to give it five stars. The chef was impeccable and the food was simply fantastic. Highly recommend.

Beautiful beach! part of it has life guards very clean this beach isnt really for casual swimming the waves and current would not be good for someone that wasnt a strong swimmer. A good book and long walks dipping your toes in the water.

Family beach. It is place where you go can enjoy the sound of the sea (a plus!) since no nobody has loud music playing. It counts with bathrooms, grill area, and parking is free. Close at sunset.

Another one of our favorite local beaches. The drop off isnt as bad at this location. The bathrooms are typically pretty clean considering. Just wish they had a cafe, foodtrucks or something!

Love this place, not usually crowded. Clean facilities. Lifeguard on duty. Also wheel chair ramp to beach for those who need that.

Excellent supervised beach. This beach has great parking, shower outside for getting all that sand off your feet and body. Bathrooms are available mind you they can get a little dirty. Boardwalk to take you down to the beach with plenty of room to set up. Very clean, and no dogs are allowed. No alcohol is allowed on this beach unforunately. I highly recommend coming here!

Omg this had to be by far the nastiest public bathroom Ive been in. It smells like people just urinate on the floor and had used toilet paper in the trash can .

Gorgeous day and not to hot 82°

Not many people there after 5pm, plenty of space to park, has a nice playground and bathroom with showers to rinse sand off. Downside is the lifeguard tower was boarded up and no one was there, no flags were post so I assumed the lifeguard tower has been closed for some time. They do have turtles that swim to shore around high tide, but people scare them off when they are loud and chasing towards them, which turns these creatures away.Overall, nice amenities for it being a free beach with free parking.

Nice out of the way park. Sign says to wear shoes boardwalk down to beach. Take it from me. Splinters suck from there.

Excellent lifeguard....!! He stopped all newcomers and kids at beach to explain hazardous conditions with riptides. He would blow his whistle and have swimmers stay in closer to shore due to red flag conditions.

WOW, so many turtle nests from last night.

I was worried on Memorial weekend this place would be packed, but it wasnt. This beach was a wonderful choice for our family. Everyone swam in the ocean, then showered off (free)before eating lunch. We then sat at the picnic tables located here and dried during lunch. The kids played on the toys after eating.

Mine and my wifes favorite beach! So much so that we got married there on 7/20/2019. It was amazing!!!

What a small piece of Paradise. Visiting from Arizona, this beach was super clean, quiet and relaxing. Not very many people using park during my stay. Went everyday to relax and enjoy. Water was calm, clear and it was awesome to collect conch shells to bring home to family. Great experience. Keep it a hidden gem.

A little longer boardwalk than some other beaches to get down to the sand. And watch that last step - theres been quite a bit of erosion.

For a public beach this was a very nice one. Even though there was a bunch of people there was still plenty of room for everyone and it was very clean.

Golden Sands never disappoints. Saw tarpon rolling, bait fish schooling, even a few sharks popped up. (That was less fun because its so bloody hot outside.) Good times

Adequate parking, well-maintained bathrooms and showers at the entrance. The best beach entrance in the area if you are looking for something more formal and built out.

Beautiful water, but expected more cleanliness

This is literally one of my favorite places in the world. I was born and raised in Florida, and the beach is just part of my heart. I found this park randomly and Ive loved it so so much ever since.

Its a hard walk to get there for a disabled person but theres a boardwalk and lifeguards so its safe for us older generation

We had a good time with the family on the beach and found some good shells, but the place was covered in seaweed and has a steep drop really close to shore so you cant go very far out before it is over your head. There is a lifeguard, showers, bathroom facilities and a playground which is a plus, But there are other beaches and sites close by that are much better overall. I woukd reccommend this beach only if the other ines are overcrowded.
