I just love the Empress lounge Wednesday nights! Every time I go to the Wednesday night show I thoroughly enjoy it. Everyone I bring to the shows thinks they are great also. I like the lounge shows because I wear hearing aids and the music is easier to listen to because it’s not so loud. You can also get pretty great seating right up front if you like. One time they had a taco bar but another time when they didn’t they allowed us to bring our own food in and we went down to Gracie‘s to get some food to bring in. I’m sure I’ll keep going and bringing my friends. I hope the lineup quality continues.

The Empress Theater doesnt have a bad seat in the house, small dance floor and bar.You can belly upto the stage, take a seat and put drinks and elbows on the stage.Wine selection is very poor. The bartender will tell, when asked, that there is white and red wine for purchase.The spirit collection was not extensive but had top shelf selections and the pours are generous.The theater is Art Deco in style and there is a fair amount of detail.Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful quaint oasis in Vallejo. Great bar. Parking across the street is pricey but its a sellers market because otherwise you have to park... well, anywhere else in Vallejo. The seats are fine for me but may be a bit narrow if youre more, shall we say, Texan-y.

Great location for a Sunday church. Nice lobby, clean and comfortable seats. Definitely an awesome experience. Did i forget to say parking is also not a problem?

Beautiful theater. Had no clue it was there. Very art deco with lovely furniture and room for meals near the bar if wanted. Excellent space for plays, shows. Who knew? Loved it.

I saw a live taping of NPR and KQED Forum with my eighth grade class. It was one of my favorite experiences that I had ever had and a really nice show. I would definitely like to come back here and see if the actual or musical performance.

Enjoyed watching the Superbowl at this location. The environment was clean, well lit, and enjoyable. They had the large theater screen along with a screen at the bar area and another in a private lounge room. Free admission. The food was excellent and the drinks were well made. The Empress is upcoming and will soon give the Paramount, Bal, and Fox theaters a run for their money(this is a smaller venue but cozy like the old Circle Start theater on the peninsula years ago.)

This is a beautifully restored theater with great performances throughout the year. Head up Georgia Street during the day to see enormous old Victorian homes.

We go at least once a month and sometimes several times a month. So many great shows! It is hard to believe how many Grammy winners we have seen there for $20 shows. Vallejos little gem that not enough people take advantage of. The more the merrier so pick a show, grab a friend and go.

I love the Empress Theatre. They always have different shows for great prices. It’s a great place if you want to try something new. They have tons of different shows for example I went to a Johnny Cash tribute concert and a week later I went to a magic show and both were great shows. If you’re looking for a good time you should definitely look into seeing a show at the Empress

I had a great time watching the Superbowl at the at the empress theater , cocktails food beautiful surroundings huge movie screen live broadcast, Judy gave me a lovely tour of the joint, and Diane makes great cocktails. I had VIP seating and a great time was had by all Ill do it again

Ultimate presentation ! The venue is breath taking. The talent is constantly superb. The acoustics are incredible. We in Vallejo are truly blessed with such a venue and constant talent deserving of such .

Great show on New Years. Low turn out made it an amazing night for those who showed. Like a giant private party. BUT-TAH and her gang were amazing. Even with strep throat she knocked it out. Beautiful venue. Our first visit, hopefully we will be going back over and over in the years to come.

This is a beautiful building, comfy seats, a nice bar/lounge for intermission, they sell popcorn, a big stage that can accommodate musicals as well as other kinds of performances. A jewel. I saw Young Frankenstein by Bay Area Stage there.

Nice staff. Not a bad seat in the house. Adjoining lounge for before and after show.Parking was easy and close.

Seating is tight. Seats are not for people with hips or above a size 12. In the upper level you have to get up and out of the isle to let people pass, or the to go to the bathroom, or so they could get another drink, or popcorn..I spent most of my night standing in the isle because of this. Otherwise its a nice theatre.

Great venue for a conceet

The Empress Theater and Lounge are both great venues for music and dancing. Great staff and sound system and stage. I am looking forward to singing in the Lounge on August 1st with my band, Reds Blues!

This place is so NICE.. I have been in Oakland theater ..and San Francisco a several times for shows...this place has very nice acoustic sound..with the re exception of price on the drinks..... I understand the revenue on FIX this place the launch is great Any ways..Thats why I only giving 3 stars.

Nice venue again. Expanded the theater to a bar and seating area adjacent to the main building. Pre-event venue area now makes it a destination to look forward to!

I have not yet figured out why more people arent at the Empress. Its an awesome historical theater with great films, music and entertainment. Parking across the street, affordable tickets, great seats and sound. We love it and are going back tonight for another band. DEEP BLUE JAM WAS AMAZING last night.

Great venue. Nice condition of original look. I miss going to the comedy shows here. They did not get a lot of attendance, but the people the performers were always pretty good. It was fun discovering new talent. Some of them I have seen years later on new Netflix shows. So try to support your local arts when you can.

Love this venue for concerts. the BEST club is adjacent to make for a great experience.

What a joke. Supposed to be a concert by Rose Royce but it was more like a local talent show that included three members of the group. There was no band, people were leaving shaking their heads. Never again if I can help it.

Great old theater that has been brought back to life. The manager is doing a great job of finding all kinds of acts/shows to fill up the venue. More people need to show their support and step out for some entertainment.

A nice theater in downtown Vallejo. They have a good lineup of bands. I was disappointed that the historic theater wasnt as ornately or interestingly detailed as some of the gorgeous old theaters in San Francisco, but its a good little theater to go to.

Ive seen two amazing shows at this theater. Its a great venue for any concert!

Seating is to congested and and small, no room to maneuver other than that excellent auditorium! I know their trying not to deviate from the original but I think its needed for certain venues.

Beautiful, historic theater. Great sound system, lights, and stage for music performances, although might be a bit loud. The seats and legroom are kind of small, but cushion-y. Theres a lot across the street or nearby street parking available.

Very nice people whom put efforts toward staging Local & National Talents. Dedicated to the Performing Arts. A huge room & stage! Feels like youre in an upscale venue, yet with downhome folks! Gotta Love it.
