Relaxing and cozy hideaway on Mare Island. Tom is a great host. The tasting really delights your palate. I tend to sip on a cool, crisp white wine while sitting on the front porch admiring the magnolia and palm trees. Visiting this venue is like stepping back into history. The decor is absolutely stunning! There are always interesting visitors who become friends after sharing a glass of wine and experiences. A rewarding end to a calm walk around the neighborhood makes this a destination to look forward to each weekend.

Vino godfather is a hidden gem. I am so glad that I found it while staying close to the Napa Valley. The tasting room is located on Mare Island in a 19th century captains quarters easily accessible from highway 37. The owner Frank is laid back and accommodating. I will definitely make my way back here for a tasting.

Great ambiance. Despite not drinking and being there with work friends, the service was phenomenal. Those that indulged on wine, loved the options.

One of the best hospitality rooms for wine tasting Ive ever visited. If you like a calm atmosphere where you can see a glimpse of history in our local area this is the place to be. Locally owned and run by a friendly staff that will leave the impression on coming back. Petrol_Enthusiast approved ️

Best kept secret in Vallejo. The space is gorgeous with a big porch and multiple rooms to hang out in. The folks were really down to earth and understood wine doesnt need to be pretentious to be great, but were also happy to answer questions. We got great food recommendations for the area and met a local celebrity. I did not have a lot of expectations for a random Thursday but was really glad we happened upon the island.

Awesome place. Definitely a hidden gem located on Mare Island. Thomas is the guy that helps us most often and he is great. Their wine tasting flight covers a huge selection. Some good range in reds and whites. Live music, weekend events, porch seating, and awesome building!Must check out spot for any local.

Nice staff and ambiance. Tempranillo red wine is excellent but kind of pricey at $18 per glass. This is a nice place to spend time if you are not on a budget.

Great place to have private conversations because of the large yard and large porch and seating areas around the house, thats because Vino Godfather is located on the famous and one of the oldest naval shipyards in the west, the beautiful Mare Island. What makes it even more special is the wine tasting is done in a grand historical Admirals mansion. The property hosts live music from a variety of artist indoors and out. Spectacular place to get married, thats right. The venue is perfect for a fairytale to take place. Beautiful fruit trees and open space to accommodate 250 guest. Dont miss this first of firsts in Vallejo, California and then take a trip to the world renowned Napa Valley Wine Country to extend the California wine experience.

Pretty antique building with multiple nice, separated areas with lots of sunlight to have a glass of wine. Tastings are reasonably priced, great service, wines are fairly good.

Have always had the best time here - staff is always friendly and knows their wine! The owners Frank and Twila are some of the nicest people youll ever meet and the mansion is awesome. Concerts on the weekend are a great way to spend the afternoon and very family friendly!

Great wine at an unbelievable value. We were so fortunate to sit on the front porch and share a bottle of Tempranillo with the owner Frank and his friend. We spent over an hour swapping stories: learning about Napa, wine, local favorites, and getting insider tips. What an awesome way to begin our first trip to the region!

Terrible treatment at the front door. It might be the best wine in the state but Ill never find out. As we walked in the door to taste on a Saturday, we werent allowed to go past the entry way without handing over 15 each for a glass of wine and the privilege of listing to a band that didnt start for 2 hours.When I said were here to taste wine the woman at the door said oh you can do that its 15 bucks either way30 dollars just to walk in the room doesnt seem very freindly.

A fantastic stop along they way between Napa and San Francisco.. a true hidden gem filled with rich Mare Island History. I have been working in the hospitality biz in Napa for over 12 years..I know good wine, and connected to some amazing wineries. this my friend, is a fun experience, and excellent drinking wine and the price is great too~!. come on, 25. bucks a bottle for a fantastic daily drinking red blend! the Mansion is historical, it;s really relaxing to sit on the porch with a glass and visit. live music on the weekends..gosh, I have been here when the place is jam packed, as well as on a quiet sunday. come for yourself and enjoy~!~
