The only city pool not letting kids in free this summer but if you ask me its my favorite. Its shaded with both a deep end and a splash pad. You can do laps and just play with the family.

Husband was denied entry due to our infant Daughter only having a swim diaper. Apparently they also want a plastic cover. Weve been coming all summer never had an issue with her using just a swim diaper. We only mostly dip her feet in the water anyway. Sounds like one of the staff were just having a bad day & decided to take it out on our family. This is a adaptive pool that caters to people with special needs, my question is if an adult with special needs also has to wear a diaper do you make them wear a plastic cover as well?

The pool has shade. This is so nice. The chlorine content is extremely high but it kinda has to be. The family showers are really nice and usually clean. The staff are ok, I get the feeling they have to deal with a lot of rude people so they get a pass. The lifeguards are very vigilant!

I love this swimming pool they dont allow floaties that I know of but it starts out at about a quarter of an inch and goes down farther and deeper kind of like if you were walking into the water on the beach they also have a Whirlpool that goes around in circles and they have places to swim laps its pretty cheap to get in I believe its $2 for adults and a dollar for kids

Review №16

Inexpensive family pool with indoor and outdoor options. Outdoor pool has sun shade so no need to drown in sunscreen. The pool only allows 25 people per lifeguard, when we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes before 6 people exited so our group of 4 and the 2 ahead of us could get in. Well worth the wait.

Life guards implement selective rules that they dont agree on. 15 year old kids saying you cant teach your kids how to use goggles or a kick board. Rules are not posted as the front desk either for new people to get familiar before going to the pool. There are so many pools near here that will not hassle you that this place is not worth it.

I love the therapy pool. It makes me feel great. The covered outside pool is fantastic as well. The channel with a current is a great workout The only issue I have is the way the staff run the place. Some of their policies are not helpful. Like when the pool opens at 6, they dont lef you start the paying or check in till 6. I dont know why we cant pay, get changed early and then open the pool doors at 6.

Would give it a 5 star, but Mary Lou is so rude. I got into a line the associate told me and my granddaughter to get in to. As coming through the door, Mary Lou yelled at me, telling me to get into another line, I explained this is the line I was told to get in. She then says, this is why I have this stick... it was a yard stick she was holding, that sounds like a threat to me, and it scared my 3 year old granddaughter.

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have morning , afternoon and night hours. There is an outside pool and a inside therapeutic pool with jets. The therapeutic pool has a lift chair for wheelchair bound persons. There sre individual changing rooms for handicap people. It is a coed pool so there is socializing. The cost is low and affordable.

Review №34

Overall this place just isnt fun. I have never been to a place that had so many asinine rules. it felt like the lifeguards were just there to nitpick on the dumbest rules and not actually there to keep you safe.It was me and two other families in the pool. I wasnt allowed to take my four year old on my back laying down and have him link his arms around my neck And parralel glide around the pool. You are allowed to sit on this ledge but not that ledge. Every where i turned there was another silly rule. Such an unpleasant place.I think that this pool is wonderful for special needs and older populations that needs the therapy pool. But dont be deceived by their advertisement of a play area for kids. This is quite possibly the least friendliest place for young children Ive ever been to. In addition, if youre going to make an additional requirement that little ones need to be in a special swim diaper not the paper type ones that most families have then you really should sell them at your front office. You could have also made a pretty hefty profit as most people would rather pay and swim right away versus taking disappointed kids back in the car and driving to Target and coming back. This was our first time visiting Tucson Parks and Rec pools. Are the others as unfunny and uptight as this one. I understand basic rules of pool safety but the rules here were just insufferable especially because there were only two young families in the pool on a slow Wednesday. Did not feel welcomed or comfortable and I suppose if the other pools are like this in town thats why theyre constantly closing down to lack of use.Aside from the facilities for special needs families and nice family changing rooms the only thing this place has going for it is the gigantic Sun tent shade.

There are regulars who have been coming here for years so share and care. I would still like to know the exact history of this therapy pool. Where else but a private hospital, country club etc. in this Southwest can you find a facility like this with 92° water and jacuzzi jets for half dozen people or so? And open to the public ! Im sold at $2 a visit !

Pool under shade in Tucson! A few lanes. A current loop. A few water toys. Fantastic for little kids (enormous shallow area sloping from 0 depth. A little short on medium depth area. Also there is the therapy pool. A number of family changing rooms in addition to the mens and womens changing areas. Plenty of lockers.

The facilities are really nice. The life guards however can be what I like to call rule nazis. Im all about safety however my three year old cant be on my back. You are not allowed to splash the babies are not allowed to stand on the water fountain (which is made for them in the shallow end) my son (who can swim great) is not allowed to swim in the lap pool and on and on and on. The rules can be a little much I think. So be aware of that going in. The prices are cheap though. I just hope they dont close this one down like the majority of the other city pools around.

The staff can sometimes be rude, especially with rules about little kids. If your kid is not potty trained, do yourself a favor and come with snug plastic diaper covers and if you want/need floatation, only bring full scale life jackets. Ive seen people get scolded quite often for simply buy knowing this in advance. The free swim hours are not awesome, but they are generally workable, if you have an early enough work shift.Despite that, the pools are great. The therapy pool is super warm and relaxing, while the outdoor pool is great for everyone including little ones with beach entry, fountains, a lazy river, and swim lanes.

The indoor therapy pool, is a warm water pool for those with different health issues such as chronic back pain, knee issues, fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc. Its absolutely so soothing, feel better after time spent in the heated pool with simple exercises such as walking, etc.I suffer from chronic back pain, arthritic stiffness, hip replacement which all make land exercises more difficult overall. Indoor therapy pool is large, very clean!Available float bars as assistive exercise equipment.Outside pool for all others looks like fun!The price per visit is very affordable at $2 a visit, giving me the chance to get some exercise benefits!Available showers, changing area on location are just another plus!!! :D

Not a fan of the staff here. The rules on swim diapers is ridiculous for the fact that I buy the expensive ones instead of the store ones. The ones I buy hold everything and yet I still cant use those. Came with friends and some of the friends had to sit in office cause there where too many in pool. Very frustrating when staff is rude and when friends cant swim.
